Neutral
GravityZone Business Security is an important part of our security stack. It allows us to dive deeper into malicious activities whether it's phishing or anything like that.
GravityZone Business Security is an important part of our security stack. It allows us to dive deeper into malicious activities whether it's phishing or anything like that, and it has really been very helpful. Bitdefender's information is very thorough and allows us to understand when we need to wipe the system. It has always been successful in blocking attacks.
The main issue with Bitdefender is the UI and console. It's not designed with current standards; it's not HTML5 and doesn't work well for navigation, making it a little clunky.
We have been using GravityZone Business Security for about four years.
Since we've been using GravityZone Business Security, we have not had any major incidents.
I haven't had to do much with Bitdefender's actual support, but we feel able to be self-sufficient. We have opened a ticket with them once or twice.
Positive
We have just used GravityZone Business Security.
The cost is a consideration for switching from Bitdefender to Datto. Datto is offering a bundle for less than what we pay for Bitdefender.
We are considering Datto as they are bundling the RMM with security tools for a lower price.
Overall, I would rate GravityZone Business Security as a nine. The main issue is the UI/UX challenge, but all antivirus software is challenging in this area. Datto is more integrated, and while we can alert on Bitdefender in Atera, it's not fully integrated, requiring management through the Bitdefender console instead of Atera.
The primary use case is to secure our Windows clients and servers.
The monitoring dashboards are absolutely amazing, providing a lot of fine details about all activities. The amount of detail they capture is impressive. The threat detection capability is outstanding with no issues at all.
GravityZone Business Security is set on silent mode for updates, which happen fairly quickly and regularly, usually within about two days. These updates are discreet and do not interfere with users.
There is always room for improvement, but these are slowly diminishing. The team is catching up with many aspects. It is more than adequate, just needing to keep up with industry changes.
I have been working with Business Security for over ten years.
We have no issues with the stability of GravityZone Business Security. It is well supported and well maintained.
I recommend GravityZone Business Security for any size business. The bigger the business, the easier it seems to manage. The effort of managing ten clients and the effort of managing ten thousand clients is insignificant.
The cost savings and reduced manual intervention make GravityZone Business Security preferable to other options like Trend.
The direct cost savings include very little updates or manual intervention, significantly reducing support efforts on the platform.
The pricing is very reasonable. We negotiated a good price and are happy with it.
We compared it with Trend and other options before selecting GravityZone Business Security.
I give GravityZone Business Security a rating of nine out of ten.
Though we haven't explored all features, such as AI, I am keen to examine any new technology they introduce. In my region, GravityZone is well-known through recommendations rather than aggressive marketing. It is appropriate to recommend to both smaller and bigger businesses, with easier management for larger operations.
We have partnerships with all of these vendors including Sophos, Bitdefender, Microsoft, Palo Alto, and many other vendors. We collect product reviews for them by calling on their behalf and asking people what they think of their products. That is how it works.
In terms of stability, the solution is reliable because there are certain modules, such as advanced threat control and anti-exploit solutions, that are really good. The anti-phishing and content network protection are also very good. It is all about how you configure it. The best part is the risk management; it gives me real relief, and an overall idea of what all my systems are exposed to, where my weaknesses lie, and how I can address them—whether it's misconfigurations, user behavior creating the risk, or the OS software that isn't getting patched, or critical CVs that aren't getting mitigated. Those things have helped me out in a great way.
There are three main areas for improvement: Windows firewall, content filter, and support. This is one observation, though I have not studied it in length. When studying in depth, we have faced many other things. We might have loosely configured, and we might have to write a policy in GravityZone Business Security which could be more effective.
Another observation was that we have disabled all the external media via GravityZone Business Security policies, but when connecting a device such as a phone, it was getting detected, and users were able to read and write files.
I recently upgraded from GravityZone Business Security initial version to the premium version.
Regarding the deployment of GravityZone Business Security, some things are very general and easier, but certain things, when talking about add-on modules, need a little bit of study. A newbie cannot do it; an experienced person is needed, led by your support team or someone who has worked on it earlier, to be able to do it quickly.
It is quite scalable and easily scalable. I recently upgraded from GravityZone Business Security initial version to the premium version. It was not much of a difficult thing. The only issue was that my team found certain policies were ineffective, but that was not the case. They were not getting the reports mailed because they had to re-register the mailing. Once they re-registered it, it started flooding the reports immediately.
There is value for money because I have been using this for four years now. Earlier, I was using an Indian solution called Quick Heal, and then I upgraded that to Secureye. There were a lot of fancy things, but the promptness and solutions for the zero-day attacks were quite loose ends. Comparatively, these American products are much better.
I am a CIO for my company, a director, and a 70% stakeholder. On a scale of 1-10, I rate GravityZone Business Security an 8 out of 10.

We are customers for GravityZone Business Security. We use it for email security.
I like that the tool is a bit simple to use. In terms of handling phishing and rate mitigation, it is quite good.
It is missing a lot, especially in reporting. The reporting functionality is quite minimal, and there are no alerts available. The reporting aspect is a bit disappointing. However, if they work on enhancing it, there's potential for improvement. The current reports lack depth, particularly for analytical purposes.
Additionally, we are missing email encryption capabilities. We’ve also faced a few minor issues with the solution’s scalability.
I’ve been using this solution for the past five months.
The product is stable. I rate it a perfect ten.
The solution is scalable. We have 130 users for the solution in our organization. I rate the product's scalability an eight out of ten, with ten being the highest.
We contacted customer service and support with two issues.
Positive
The initial setup is straightforward. It took just half an hour to set up because it's online, and they have their own cloud.
I have seen a return on investment.
The pricing is within the market price range compared to other solutions. It's quite affordable.
Overall, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.
We send Bitdefender GravityZone Elite to all of our clients, and we get reports and monitor it. We go onsite once a month and check the reports with our clients. We've had a couple of instances where the solution has been triggered by a virus or something and it worked very well, we are happy with it.
The most valuable feature of Bitdefender GravityZone Elite is its ease of use.
I have been using Bitdefender GravityZone Elite for approximately 10 months.
Bitdefender GravityZone Elite is very stable.
The scalability of Bitdefender GravityZone Elite is very good. It is easy to scale and we have it deployed across 40 networks, and approximately 300 units.
We have two people using the solution and one of the handles 99 percent of it
We have been very happy with Bitdefender GravityZone Elite technical support. With the initial setup, we only had one incident that we needed to communicate with the support, and the response time was within three hours, and it was done by email. It wasn't a major issue, we emailed support and we received a response in about three hours.
The initial setup of Bitdefender GravityZone Elite was a little complex. It's not for the average home user. You need to know what you're doing and understand what you're doing. During the deployment, it took us approximately an hour and a half to understand fully the way we wanted it to be set up, and then from there, it wasn't too bad.
Once we set the policies for Bitdefender GravityZone Elite we were able to deploy them across our variety of networks without much of an issue.
Our PSA and RMM tool was able to send Bitdefender GravityZone Elite out without any issues.
We pay approximately $1 per device per month for Bitdefender GravityZone Elite. There is no additional cost for the solution.
My advice to others is to try the solution out, it works well.
I rate Bitdefender GravityZone Elite a nine out of ten.

We are Bitdefender GravityZone Elite for endpoint protection.
The most valuable feature of Bitdefender GravityZone Elite is its efficiency in finding threats, such as viruses and ransomware.
Bitdefender GravityZone Elite could improve the ease of use and add more features. Other solutions have more features such as Kaspersky Antivirus. For example, I could not remote connect with Microsoft Windows with Kaspersky Antivirus and the reports were better. Additionally, I have had difficulty ending tasks with solutions.
I have been using Bitdefender GravityZone Elite for approximately six months.
Bitdefender GravityZone Elite is stable.
I rate the stability of Bitdefender GravityZone Elite a four out of five.
Bitdefender GravityZone Elite can scale to a medium level.
We have approximately 200 users using the solution for all work positions.
We use a partner for the support for Bitdefender GravityZone Elite and they are helpful. However, we write to a Polish company and they write to the vendor but they often send it to the wrong place.
We previously were using Kaspersky Antivirus, but with the war in Ukraine, we stopped using Kaspersky Antivirus.
The initial setup of Bitdefender GravityZone Elite was simple. The deployment took approximately one or two weeks.
Bitdefender GravityZone Elite technical support helped us with the implementation of the solution. We used one person for the deployment of the solution.
The price of Bitdefender GravityZone Elite is very good. We are on a three-year license, and the third year was free.
I rate the price of Bitdefender GravityZone Elite a five out of five.
We evaluated other solutions before choosing Bitdefender GravityZone Elite, such as ESET and Symantec. Bitdefender GravityZone Elite was the most efficient and cost-effective for us.
I rate Bitdefender GravityZone Elite a five out of ten.
Bitdefender GravityZone Elite is used on all of our devices.
We deploy it with our RMM tool.
Bitdefender GravityZone Elite has helped our organization by making it easier.
The ease of deployment via our RMM tool has been good. It has been catching things in the wild, and reporting is good.
We are happy with this solution.
I'm pleased with what I'm seeing now. The reporting has been excellent, and it has kept up with everything.
When you have to change some of the settings, the initial setup can become complicated.
I have been working with Bitdefender GravityZone Elite for one year.
Bitdefender GravityZone Elite is a stable solution. We like it a lot.
We have not had any problems with the scalability of Bitdefender GravityZone Elite.
We have 300 users in our organization.
We hope to increase our usage.
We once contacted technical support, and it was very good.
Previously, we had been using Emsisoft.
We switched because the integration made more sense when we switched platforms for our RMM tool.
Straightforward. The first. It became a little more complicated after we discovered some of the things we needed to change, but that was to be expected.
It took a week to complete the deployment.
This solution only requires one person to maintain and deploy.
We are consultants.
I have not seen a return on investment, but I don't see it costing us anything.
Bitdefender GravityZone Elite is an affordable solution.
There are no additional costs in addition to the licensing fees.
We evaluated other solutions before selecting Bitdefender GravityZone Elite.
It was all about the integration. We looked at ESET, formerly Norton, Symantec, Emsisoft, SentinelOne, and Trend Micro. We looked at a lot of different things and liked the way this one integrated the best.
Try it out, I think that you will like it.
Nothing is perfect. If I was asked in a week, I may have had a different opinion.
I would rate Bitdefender GravityZone Elite a nine out of ten.
We are using Bitdefender GravityZone Elite to protect all our endpoints, such as virtual machines, desktop systems, and servers. We have physical and virtual environments.
The solution has made my organization more secure from cyber threats.
Bitdefender GravityZone Elite is efficient and lightweight. We have to do security audits every year and we saw how secure Bitdefender GravityZone Elite was, even the plan testers had difficulties taking control of a computer when it was protected. The solution was always rejecting the attacks of the test hackers, it has very good protection.
Overall the solution is easy to manage which is very important. The web console is simple to understand and you do not need to install it on a Windows Server to access the console. It can be done through a web interface. Additionally, it has enhanced detection and the response integrated into it.
Bitdefender GravityZone Elite is always adding features without requesting more money from the end-users.
Bitdefender GravityZone Elite could improve by having a patch management function to become part of the solution. For now, it's a separate module subscription. For example, in my company, all the endpoints are sending the information about network attacks and detected malware, to the GravityZone console, and from the console, you can send all these alerts, to another solution, such as Syslog. This is a very important point for us because, this architecture, is similar to having hundreds of threat sensors in the company. The endpoint is a threat sensor and this is very important. From a security perspective, I'm not expecting anything more. However, I'm expecting patch management to become part of GravityZone, and not a separate subscription. This would be a large benefit to us.
I have been using Bitdefender GravityZone Elite for approximately seven years.
Bitdefender GravityZone Elite is reliable.
The stability of the solution is very important for us. The system is not an application that is loaded on the startup on Windows that can have the possibility of having zero-day vulnerabilities. The solution is based on the Ubuntu OS which is more secure and is not vulnerable to viruses. For example, a Windows server application could be shut down by a virus. With Bitdefender GravityZone Elite, it is not the case. It's very stable and it's based on hardened OS with a web console, that is easy to manage.
When comparing Bitdefender GravityZone Elite to the version of Symantec that I was using, in Symantec when you have to activate or disable a module or disable a module, you have to generate a new installation package. However, in Bitdefender GravityZone Elite you have one single installation package and then you can enable or disable modules from the web console. Enabling and disabling modules happens immediately, in real-time, because the endpoint, console, and server are always communicating. When you change a policy, it's applied in real-time. When you enable or disable the module, it's applied in real-time. You have visibility on the console of everything that is happening.
When the Bitdefender GravityZone Elite endpoint detects a malware, I have in the console a timeline that tells me what happened exactly, similar to forensic analysis. It provides me with information, such as what the malware or suspected malware does.
You have a reporting and an incident server. In the incident server, you have all the detected threats, and with one click on any of the potential threats, you will receive a timeline of what happened. All the information is displayed in a detailed way with text and graphs. The solution does an investigation of all of the processes it did to be detected the malware. For example, the malware had tried to change the registry entry or it tried to launch a subprocess. You have a cyber logistics expert inside the console.
I have found Bitdefender GravityZone Elite to be scalable.
We have thousands of users using this solution in my organization. We will increase usage of this solution when we increase the number of computer systems we have.
The technical support of Bitdefender GravityZone Elite is excellent.
We are a French-speaking country, we have contact with the French branch of BitDefender. The technical support and their technical team are exceptional.
When there are small issues, we always interact with their team by email, but if there is a larger issue, then we work with them more closely where they take control remotely of the console. I have never had an issue with their service. They respond rapidly to the tickets efficiently, and we are using the solution for seven years because of the technical support and stability of the product.
We have used many other solutions, such as Symantec and Kaspersky.
While using Symantec, it renders the computer nearly unusable when you are using it. It's very heavy on the system resources. Bitdefender GravityZone Elite is lightweight on resources.
The initial setup of Bitdefender GravityZone Elite can be done in half a day, or in two hours. however, it depends on your internet connection speeds because when you install it, it does a lot of updates. If you have a node image for a new installation then the installation can be really fast.
I have implemented Bitdefender GravityZone Elite many times because we had some server crashes, I changed the solution on other servers. There is another function of Bitdefender GravityZone Elite that if you have to move it to another server, because of some issue, you can do a backup of its configuration and then restore it on the new server, it can be very simple. You don't need to lose anything the solution is very good.
I'm responsible for managing the endpoint security here in my company.
The solution is very easy to manage, I do all the maintenance of the solution.
We have to purchase licenses for the use of Bitdefender GravityZone Elite. We started out with approximately 150 licenses and now we have over 1,000. You can purchase licenses annually or every three years.
I have evaluated many other solutions to determine Bitdefender GravityZone Elite is the best.
I only recommend this solution to others, it is a wonderful solution.
I rate Bitdefender GravityZone Elite a ten out of ten.
We've been using it for endpoint protection. We're using this solution to protect our endpoint devices e.g. laptops, mobile devices, servers, and gateways. We're also handling encryption and patch management for our software, especially on operating systems and sales software.
Compared to whatever we had before, this solution gives us some advanced services, including protecting our network security. In the past, we used to have people who were able to expand the network to other devices which are unauthorized. Now, with this solution, that is no longer possible because of the network security protection feature.
I find the network security protection feature the most valuable.
There is no perfect solution. There are areas that we wish could be improved, especially on upgrades. Sometimes upgrades are too heavy that they require backup like you're installing the solution for the first time. Sometimes the configuration is also quite a tedious process for the solution to be configured the way you want. It's quite complex. There are also some features that need to work with iOS. At the moment, we find that a problem. We are not able to fully protect our iOS products, but more or less, this is a good solution.
We've been using this solution for the last three years.
I have no complaints about the stability of this solution, apart from some issues that have to do with updates. When they're doing major updates, we find that sometimes it doesn't go through, unless we back up and reinstall it fresh, but after doing that, it works. This solution's okay.
This solution is scalable. We started with GravityZone, but because other needs emerged, we were able to scale up the functionalities to Elite, plus we also increased the number of devices and endpoint protections. At the moment, we have a license of 600 endpoints.
The technical support was on point.
In our environment, setup was a little bit complex, but working together with their technical team, they were able to do it successfully. Though the time it took was a little bit longer, at the end of the day, we got what we wanted. It was complex, but because the engineers understood, they were able to install and configure per our environment.
We implemented through their technical team.
We evaluated Kaspersky.
I can't really remember how long the deployment of this solution took with their technical team because it was two years ago and we were migrating from another solution. It was a one-off. What we did was to do the virtual installation first, confirm that everything is running well, then migrate the devices one by one. I can't really give an exact duration, but it was within the timelines that we set for the migration.
We don't really need a lot of staff for the maintenance of this solution. Our environment is simple and clear. We only have one person and an assistant who are responsible for the maintenance. It doesn't require much support from the team because it's working well every day. So far, we haven't experienced any difficulties in the local administration of the system. In terms of installation and setup, of course, that is done by the technical service provider, but in terms of management and maintenance, we haven't seen any major challenges.
As for licensing costs, at the initial stage, when we took a lease, we took it for three years. It's expiring next year. When it expires, we also plan to renew for two years, because doing it monthly, quarterly, and yearly is a tedious process, so we would always want to do it just once, as long as we are sure that the solution is working for us.
At the moment we really don't have an additional cost, unless we want to get some additional services. The cost that we incur is for the maintenance of our own infrastructure where the solution is installed, but not a payment to the service provider.
My advice to people who want to implement this solution is that it's important for them to understand their needs first, for them to know which product works well for them. Some of these products differ slightly, but you might find that may be a slight difference really makes a very big impact on your need for that particular solution. It's important for them to fully understand their needs and also understand the functionalities of the system, whether it's going to fully meet their requirements. That is what we did so we ended up getting this solution. For us, based on our environment and needs, this solution works.
The features that we want already exist in this solution. The only problem is that we haven't scaled it enough for those features to be activated. In our discussion with them, we told them we would want the system to do these things, which they said are already available. We just need to make a provision in our budgeting to be able to activate some of those features, because what we got was just endpoint protection, and in terms of endpoint protection, it's good enough.
It's very good to rate a product when you have a range of products you're doing a comparison with. At this moment, I can only do a comparison between two products: the one I was using before and the one I'm currently using, so I might be biased because I don't have experience with other solutions. For the Bitdefender GravityZone Elite, I'll give an 8.5. If I'm choosing between an eight or a nine, I choose nine.
I'm rating this solution a nine out of ten.
The reason why I'm not giving a rating of ten out of ten is because of the challenges we've been getting because we are on-premise. Otherwise, if we were on a cloud, then we will not have any of those challenges, like the issue of upgrades, because it would be seamless so I would be able to give the solution a rating of ten.
Most of the solutions we are using are local and customized to our environment, so you might not have reviews on them. What we have which might be within your radar of review is Untangle. There's one: NextGen Security, NextGen Firewall, which is called Untangle. That's what we used, otherwise the rest like Microsoft OS, are basically a monopoly in our environment, so I don't think there are any other solutions we can discuss.
