My main use case for Everlaw is document review. A specific example of how I use Everlaw for document review is that we typically use Everlaw to review mass documents, perform filtering of key terms, and set up batching on large scope eDiscovery projects. We have also used some of the filters to be able to filter out personal information and privilege.

Everlaw is very helpful with the different types of capabilities it offers, including batching, search terms, coding documents, and setting up the coding panel. One of the best features that Everlaw offers is the searching capability and search results, being able to search for documents. What makes the searching feature stand out for me is its accuracy.

Everlaw has positively impacted my organization by making it much easier to process mass productions by batching so that reviewers can get in and review documents. I can use the MD5 hash values to search for documents that might be similar and ensure that accuracy and consistency are maintained across the board. Everlaw has saved the team time and reduced errors because when I was using Everlaw, we did not always have the budget to pay for the best reviewers, and some of them did not prioritize accuracy. Everlaw identifies a lot of the mistakes that the attorneys are making so that we can correct them before they get to the client.

Everlaw is quality software across the board, and I would rank it right up there with RelativityOne and some of the other more expensive eDiscovery software. I have used it to identify PII and privilege, and I still see errors with whether or not it is accurately identifying PII. There are sometimes issues with it missing certain types of PII. However, for the most part, it is pretty accurate.

I have been using Everlaw since 2015.

I would give advice to others looking into using Everlaw that it is a great choice for law offices that want to have full capability with their eDiscovery platform without having to incur the massive expense that comes with Relativity. Everlaw is something I always recommend to people who have large-scale projects but may have a client who is not willing to pay as much as it would be if they were to use Relativity. On all of the attorney boards that I belong to, I have seen Everlaw right up there recommended by smaller firms for large-scale projects. I would rate this review a 9 out of 10.

My main use case for Everlaw is eDiscovery project management. A specific example of how I use Everlaw for eDiscovery project management is that we take client data in its raw format, have it processed into Everlaw, cull down data for unnecessary documents not pertinent to case use, and prepare searches that are pertinent to the litigation for the attorneys to review.

Everlaw's best features include ease of ingestion, processing speed, processing metadata, metadata redactions, and seamless application of redactions on the native.

The speed of processing makes the biggest difference in my day-to-day work because the faster we get data into a review system, the less time that we have down for projects.

Everlaw has positively impacted my organization by offering an opportunity for an alternative to our current database management that we use for eDiscovery. It has a different aesthetic feel, and we use it primarily for shorter-lived cases.

Everlaw can be improved on ingestion by making the ingestion of family members more cohesive, as larger documents sometimes fall behind family members which may get processed earlier, causing some confusion for case teams.

I have been using Everlaw for three and a half years.

Everlaw is stable.

I cannot answer how scalable Everlaw is because we deploy it through a managed services environment, but I have seen rapid scalability when needed to bring a case on quickly.

Customer support is phenomenal and is one of the most appealing factors with Everlaw. They have an exceptional onboarding team and customer success, and I have been thoroughly impressed by their customer support.

I would rate the customer support a nine, as I do not like giving anything a perfect score because I do not think anybody or anything is perfect, but they are very responsive.

Everlaw is deployed in my organization through a managed services provider, so I believe it is probably going to be a hybrid cloud.

I would advise others looking into using Everlaw to thoroughly vet the needs of their consumers and match those needs to the deliverable opportunities that Everlaw provides. I gave this review a rating of seven.

I used Everlaw for discovery, trial, depositions, and every other capability the platform offered.

I used the Storybuilder feature in Everlaw to prepare case timelines and link documents, and to create witness summaries, witness interview questions, and attach documents so I could prepare witnesses for trial.

I used Everlaw to operate paperless at trial and to review opposing counsel's exhibits in real time during trial. I also used the Storybuilder feature to track admitted exhibits.

The ability to handle the database in Everlaw without the need for a vendor is one of the best features. I can load documents myself, conduct productions independently, and the system is fast with easy searching. It is very user-friendly and does not require extensive training to use effectively.

The Data Visualizer in Everlaw is significant. It saves considerable time, and the way I can organize documents into binders is really helpful for my teams.

Everlaw positively impacts my organization because it speeds up review time and production timelines. It allows anyone to use it without the need for extensive ESI experience.

I would like Everlaw to be easier to use when adding documents as new versions. For instance, I would load the deposition exhibits and trial exhibits as new versions to the documents so that I did not have multiple random copies scattered throughout the database. I would appreciate if this process were simplified.

I used Everlaw for approximately four years.

Compared to other ESI software where you must wait and watch the program process while you are waiting to perform other tasks, Everlaw is instant when performing those operations.

I recommend that others looking into using Everlaw should not hesitate because it is cheaper, faster, and easier than any other ESI database.

When I first used Everlaw in the beta version and shortly after it was initially rolled out, it struggled with summarizing construction documents, and its accuracy in reviewing transcripts was adequate. I would rate this review a 9.

My main use case for Everlaw is mostly reviewing documents and redactions. A specific example of how I use Everlaw for reviewing documents and redactions is when personal information related to anyone who is not related to the plaintiff needs to be redacted.

For instance, if there are social security numbers, those get redacted depending on the statute.

The best features Everlaw offers include the ability to label things, whether there is a statutory privilege or privacy-related privilege. What I appreciate most about the labeling feature is that it makes my workflow easier and helps me stay organized.

Everlaw has positively impacted my organization by helping me see which documents need to be fixed. Currently, I am not using it on a solo firm basis because I am not working litigation support right now.

I cannot think of any significant improvements for Everlaw at the moment. The only thing I believe could be improved is that the pricing should be disclosed more clearly. Otherwise, I have not seen any areas where Everlaw could be improved.

I do not remember using a different solution before Everlaw. It was my first time doing document review, whether via Everlaw or Relativity, and I was using both.

I think it is mostly about time saved, but I do not have specific metrics.

When I was using Everlaw at my previous company, I noticed specific outcomes such as time savings. My advice for others looking into using Everlaw is to make sure you understand the pricing upfront and then conduct your research regarding that. I would rate this product an 8.5 overall.

My main use case for Everlaw involves criminal and civil federal cases.

When getting a subpoena return for a large data set, such as emails, I use Everlaw to process those emails and conduct a quick review and analysis.

Additionally, I use their machine learning tools to call and filter out the data to the pertinent information.

Everlaw positively impacts my organization because I am able to process data quicker, and attorneys are able to review that data at a much faster rate.

We save time and are probably able to process data up to 70% faster than our previous methods, thanks to the robust tools and actually reviewing documents and collaborating.

The best features Everlaw offers are its Data Visualizer and its Storybuilder, on top of very quick processing of the data.

The Data Visualizer helps with early case assessment by viewing particular categories faster within my data set, and Storybuilder helps with collaboration of fact-finding and evidence narrative for my case.

At this point, I do not see anything that could improve Everlaw.

No improvements are needed; it is the best tool on the market.

I have been using Everlaw for five years.

Everlaw is stable.

The scalability of Everlaw is excellent.

The customer support provided by Everlaw is excellent.

Previously, I used Relativity, but I switched because it did not have as many robust features, nor could it process data as quickly as Everlaw.

I have seen a return on investment in money and time saved from having to hire expert reviewers.

My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing is that it is handled by my executive office, but generally, I think it is good.

Before choosing Everlaw, I did not evaluate other options.

My advice to others looking into using Everlaw is to ask for a demo and a showcase of all the machine learning and AI features.

My main use case for Everlaw is document review. I use Everlaw for the review of medical records to create chronological documents in my day-to-day work. Everlaw helps me with reviewing medical records and creating those chronological documents by having all the documents within one database where I can quickly look through them, which is really helpful.

I find that the codes I can create in Everlaw are really helpful in filtering information, enhancing my experience with the software so far.

In my opinion, the best features Everlaw offers include its central database and the coding technology to organize the data. Having it centralized means that I don't have to switch between multiple programs in order to view the document set.

I think Everlaw can be improved because there is a lot of training that could use some work. It is a lot of information to learn about a software and sometimes that training is not individualized for my specific cases.

My main use case for Everlaw is for discovery and document review.

For discovery and document review, I utilize Everlaw to collect cloud data, process incoming data, stage it on the platform, and set it up for review and coding and production by my legal teams.

Everlaw has positively impacted my organization by helping us become more efficient with our eDiscovery and with collection and review of documents.

Everlaw offers several best features including a streamlined user interface, excellent cloud connection and collection, artificial intelligence connected to document review, and robust feature sets for review and production of data.

The feature that stands out most in my day-to-day work is the AI, as it makes my workflow easier by speeding up the review and providing a secure interface to confirm that the review has been completed properly.

Regarding Everlaw's AI capabilities, I am very pleased with the governance and security aspect, specifically that it operates as a closed universe of data where my information or my client's information is not used to train the overall platform, nor does it leave the platform in any way.

So far, the accuracy and reliability of Everlaw's AI output have been strong; I have not seen any inaccuracies or mischaracterizations. I am still utilizing it to summarize documents and provide predictive coding on aggregate data sets, and its reliability has proven to be very stable.

I do not have improvements needed for Everlaw at this time.

I have been using Everlaw for approximately six months.

I am still in the early stages, so I do not have a specific measurable event at this time regarding outcomes or metrics.

I would advise others looking into using Everlaw to complete a proof of value on the platform to determine if it meets their needs. I would rate this product 9 out of 10.

The best features Everlaw offers are AI and the ability to produce directly out of the platform.

The AI features and direct production of Everlaw have helped my work by allowing us to review quickly and more efficiently, and it allows us to produce discovery in a much more efficient manner.

Everlaw can be improved in the file structure, allowing us to load files more recently and accommodate different page numbers.

I have been using Everlaw for three years.

I rate Everlaw a ten on a scale of one to ten. I chose a ten for my rating because I feel Everlaw is the best review platform available.

Regarding Everlaw's AI capabilities, I think its governance and security seem very secure so far. I am still testing the accuracy and reliability of its output.

My advice to others looking into using Everlaw is to make sure you review the knowledge base and get certified in whatever area helps you the most.

I give Everlaw an overall rating of ten.

I have a higher certification in Everlaw for managerial organization. We use Everlaw for everything, like processing documents, creating STRs, promoting documents, and using analytics. I support our review team with all these tasks in Everlaw.

The product is very user-friendly. When new employees join, they find Everlaw the easiest to learn among our different eDiscovery tools, such as Relativity, Canopy, and Nuix. It's simple to use, even for third-party uploads. Their support team is very good and resolves issues quickly. Everlaw is fast and accurate in processing. Producing documents is easy - we create and use a protocol for future productions. Processing errors in Everlaw can't be fixed, which is efficient.

We use the tool specifically for unitization in many projects. It's very easy for reviewers to use. Everlaw is improving daily, introducing new features like analytics and AI. Analytics in Everlaw runs by default when we process anything. We used AI to train the system for review in a project with five million records.

I think Everlaw's predictive coding tools are good. It's an AI feature that provides responsive documents. We train the model with 50 responsive or 50 non-responsive documents, and it uses that to pull out responsive documents and exclude non-responsive ones for reviewers. This is a great feature of the tool.

Everlaw could be less choosy about accepting control numbers for third-party loads. When uploading third-party loads, it currently needs two mandatory fields (like within date or end date or page count). I think the control number should be the only required field. Everlaw isn't used for Data Breach projects. For normal eDiscovery, we can use Everlaw, but most clients prefer Relativity.

The solution is doing well currently and doesn't need to improve much. However, to get more customers, they should lower their prices.

In my organization, more than 150 reviewers use Everlaw for various projects. We create user accounts as needed but only provide access to relevant data. The tool is scalable, and I rate it an eight out of ten. 

The tool is on the cloud. The deployment is straightforward and takes about a day. It does regular maintenance.

The tool's pricing is higher than that of other tools. Other tools offer bundle rates, but Everlaw charges per GB, which is more expensive. It doesn't charge for users; it only charges for hosting.

I would recommend Everlaw to others because it's easy for reviewers to use. The analytics are included by default, and the user license makes it easy for reviewers to access. Projects can be done efficiently, and it's easy for managers to track client review status and billing. I rate it a nine out of ten. 

Our use cases are for typical law firm functions, mainly litigation. We used it a bit for master transfers and some HR tasks, but primarily for general law firm litigation work.

In Everlaw, you can add related items within a search to a search component, allowing you to build and expand your search incrementally. For example, you can start with an initial search, add related items, and then continue adding more related items to the entire search. Another thing about Everlaw is its speed. It loads quickly, whether it's images or documents.

From an admin perspective, Everlaw automates many tasks. However, the challenge arises when you need more customization. For instance, Everlaw automatically handles email threading, which is beneficial. But, if you need multiple email thread sets, you can't achieve this without additional work. Essentially, while Everlaw automates many processes, if its automated solutions don't fully meet your needs, you're somewhat limited in customization options.

The challenge with Everlaw is that any improvements would likely deviate from its core design philosophy. Everlaw is designed to be quick and easy to get up and running with, much like a basic model car that fulfills your essential needs without allowing for many extras. You don't need to know how to drive a manual. It does 80% of what you need efficiently, but when it comes to the remaining 20%, it can be either impossible or very challenging to accomplish.

The support was pretty good. They knew the product well, which was helpful for a new user. Their limitations became apparent when a requested feature was not supported. They would then escalate the issue to engineering, and the tool simply couldn’t do what was needed.

As a client, I didn’t understand that we could influence their development process. There was no transparency about the status of feature requests. It was challenging to get them to reconsider their pre-determined engineering priorities.
