Customer Service

Sentiment score
5.1
Trend Micro Worry-Free Services support is knowledgeable yet hindered by time zone delays and repetitive questions, needing improved hours.
Sentiment score
4.3
Wazuh support is effective for paid users, but open-source users face variability in community responsiveness and documentation use.
Support is extremely good, but there is room for improvement.
They responded quickly, which was crucial as I was on a time constraint.
We use the open-source version of Wazuh, which does not provide paid support.
The documentation is good and provides clear instructions, though it's targeted at those with technical backgrounds.

Scalability Issues

Sentiment score
6.3
Trend Micro Worry-Free Services Suites is praised for scalability but occasionally hindered by internet and cloud dependence.
Sentiment score
6.6
Wazuh offers adaptable scaling, effective for most, despite challenges, excelling in compliance and endpoint management with varied scalability scores.
It can accommodate thousands of endpoints on one instance, and multiple instances can run for different clients.
Currently, I don't see any limitations in terms of scalability as Wazuh can still connect many endpoints.
Scalability depends on the configuration and the infrastructure resources like compute and memory we allocate.

Stability Issues

Sentiment score
6.9
Trend Micro Worry-Free Services Suites is generally stable and reliable, but automatic updates can cause 'protection at risk' warnings.
Sentiment score
6.6
Wazuh's stability generally ranges from moderate to high, contingent on proper maintenance, updates, and user-specific technical environments.
The stability of Wazuh is strong, with no issues stemming from the solution itself.
The stability of Wazuh is largely dependent on maintenance.
The indexer frequently times out, requiring system restarts.

Room For Improvement

Trend Micro faces issues with system performance, integration, support, and high costs, with needed enhancements in several areas.
Wazuh requires enhanced interface usability, scalability, AI integration, and easier deployment, with improved reporting and native system integration.
The first is the Business Email Compromise (BEC) issue. Even though we configured the business email compromise option, we still face this issue sometimes where people are getting emails directly with our email ID.
Machine learning is needed along with understanding user behavior and behavioral patterns.
The integration modules are insufficiently developed, necessitating the creation of custom integration solutions using tools like Logstash and PubSub.
I think Wazuh should improve by introducing AI functionalities, as it would be beneficial to see AI incorporated in the threat hunting and detection functionalities.

Setup Cost

Trend Micro Worry-Free Services Suites has mid-range pricing, seen as affordable by some but costly compared to competitors.
Wazuh is cost-effective for enterprises with open-source availability but incurs costs for infrastructure, support, and managed hosting.
The pricing of Trend Micro is a little bit higher compared to Sophos.
Wazuh is completely free of charge.
I would definitely recommend Wazuh, especially considering Fortinet's licensing model which is confusing and overpriced in my opinion.
Totaling around two lakh Indian rupees per month.

Valuable Features

Trend Micro Worry-Free Services offers comprehensive protection with user-friendly features, seamless integration, but pricing is a concern.
Wazuh offers customizable open-source security solutions with SIEM, MITRE, and compliance tools for cloud-native, Kubernetes, and Azure environments.
Trend Micro Worry-Free Services Suites has an inbuilt auto scan facility.

Wazuh is a SIEM tool that is highly customizable and versatile.
The system allows us to monitor endpoints effectively and collect security data that can be utilized across other platforms such as SOAR.
With this open source tool, organizations can establish their own customized setup.

Achieve effective email management while identifying areas for security upgrades
There are a couple of issues we have encountered while using Trend Micro Worry-Free Services Suites for the past four or five years. The first is the Business Email Compromise (BEC) issue. Even though we configured the business email compromise option, we still face this issue sometimes where people are getting emails directly with our email ID. We were not able to get a satisfactory answer from them regarding the BEC issue. The ransomware protection issue for the old servers or outdated servers and recovery of the data needs improvement in Trend Micro Worry-Free Services Suites. The ransomware protection issue for old servers and business email compromise also needs to be upgraded because even though it's configured, we still face this BEC issue. The response time of the support also needs improvement.

Evaluating robust file monitoring with insights for community support improvements
Wazuh's most valuable features include file monitoring and compliance reporting, which do not require excessive costs. These aspects are vital as they provide alerts for changes and facilitate the monitoring of compliance. The platform is also relatively easy to set up and operate. Reports are straightforward to extract and prove useful for compliance requirements.
