The product also has sandboxing features.""The product detects and blocks threats and is more proactive than firewalls.""Exceptions are easy to create and the interface is easy to follow with a nice appearance.""The features that I have found most valuable are the ability to customize it and to reduce its size. The product's effectiveness in addressing this threat and capturing it within the network has been quite helpful.""The most valuable feature of Sophos EPP Suite is the accounting and reporting services are good and professional. The business features of the solution are very useful, such as the reporting page for clients. Overall, the solution is good, useful, and has a helpful user interface.""The most valuable feature is data loss prevention.""It is a scalable platform.""It was successful in preventing malware distribution.""It is stable.""This product is quite stable and there are no problems with it."

Cons
"Integration with Azure and SaaS provisioning tools could improve Fortinet FortiEDR.""Cannot be used on mobile devices with a secure connection.""There's room for improvement in the quick response time and technical support for integration issues, especially when dealing with multiple vendors.""FortiEDR can be improved by providing more detailed reporting.""We've encountered challenges during API deployment, occasionally resulting in unstable environments.""Everything with Fortinet having to do with their cloud services. They need to invest more in their internal infrastructure that they are running in the cloud. One of the things I find with their cloud environment compared to others' is that they go cheap on the equipment. So it causes some performance degradation.""I haven't seen the use of AI in the solution.""The amount of usage, the number of details we get, or the number of options that can be tweaked is limited in comparison to that with other EDR solutions"

More Fortinet FortiEDR Cons →

"It would be ideal if the price could be lowered a little bit.""The update part is a bit tricky in the solution...The support is not that good.""There could be an equipment inventory feature for the solution.""One area for improvement in Sophos EPP Suite is the support response time, particularly of the management team. It could be faster because I only got a response from the manager after a few days. If you open a case directly from the website, the response from the technical support agent may have been faster. I didn't open the request from the website, so that could be the reason why the response time took longer.""The solution could improve in configuration and the central logging and dashboard.""Technical support needs to be improved.""The solution lacks technical support.""We use cloud services quite a bit. Therefore, I would like to see integration with other security tools besides endpoint so that I'm not managing different tools separately. I would prefer to have a single security solution for my laptop and for managing other security things like passwords."

More Sophos EPP Suite Cons →

"The only drawback to this solution is that it needs different products for different types of clients, and it would be better to have a single agent for all of the products.""The solution's device control options are not too beneficial.""We were considering switching to SentinalOne because it has pre-detection, and Trend Micro does not offer this; it's something the solution should add.""No online encryption or cloud services are available for the tool, so my company has to install it mostly in an on-premises environment. Encryption or cloud services need to be made available in the product.""There is room for improvement to make it better for customers.""I'm not sure about the cloud migration part, in terms of whether it is seamless or not.""The solution’s technical support is not very good and could be improved.""This product would be improved if it had more monitoring capabilities so that it could stop threats before they break into the network and damage it."

    Reviews from Real Users

Below are some reviews and helpful feedback written by Fortinet FortiEDR users.

An Owner at a security firm says, "The features that I have found most valuable are the ability to customize it and to reduce its size. It lets you run in a very small window in terms of memory and resources on legacy cash registers. The customer has literally about 800 cash registers. That was the use case for Fortinet FortiEDR - to get that down into a tiny space. The only way to do that was to use this product because it had that ability to unbundle services that were a surplus.”

Chandan M., Chief Technical Officer at Provision Technologies LLP, mentions, “The ease of deployment and configuration is valuable. It's very easy compared to other vendors like Sophos. Sophos' configuration is complex. Fortinet is a lot easier to understand. You don't need a lot of admin knowledge to do the configuration.” He also adds, “The security is also very good and the firewall response is good.”

Harpreet S., Information Technology Support Specialist at Chemtrade Logistics, explains, "It notifies us if there's any suspicious file on any PC. If any execution or similar kind of thing is happening, it just alerts us. It doesn't only alert. It also blocks the execution until we allow it. We check whether the execution is legitimate or not, and then approve it or keep it blocked. This gives us a little bit of control over this mechanism. Fortinet FortiEDR is also very straightforward and easy to maintain."

DeAndre V., Senior Network Administrator at a financial services firm, states, “The dashboard is easy to follow and use. The deployment and uninstalling were easy. I like the detailed information about the path of a file that might be suspicious. Being able to check that out was easy to follow. Exceptions are easy to create and the interface is easy to follow with a nice appearance.
