Gained full visibility and streamlined threat detection through behavior-based insights and AI integration
Initially, we got to have a lot of false positives when we onboarded, but nowadays it's quite smooth. We have fine-tuned our security policies and allowed different levels of policies to get rid of those false positives. Currently, we are getting a fairly good amount of incidents that are not false positives or benign, but actionable items. The process is streamlined. In the initial days, the operations used to get involved in a lot of benign and other activities, but now the process is streamlined. We are leveraging the auto-detection and remediation plans. The operations teams are now more involved in other business roles as well, not just looking into the logs and fetching out what's happening there. They have fixed a lot of things. Initially, they didn't have IAC code drift detection, cloud posture management, or security posture management, but they have those now. They purchased different vendors and did a merger with that. They have now Prisma Cloud that gets integrated and now they are working with Cortex Cloud. Everything that was negative has now been addressed, and the product altogether looks to be in a very better and mature shape now. Currently, it's more or less detecting the workloads with AI-based best practices. Since most organizations are consuming AI agents and other things, we are looking forward to seeing what other feature enhancements Palo Alto can support in that.

Centrally managed, easy to configure, and easy to use
Seqrite Endpoint Security protects individual machines, servers, and emails against malware, viruses, and spam attacks The solution is centrally managed, easy to configure, and easy to use. It allows you to patch your required reports. The solution provides central deployment, remote deployment,…

Has provided strong security foundations but struggles with integration and ongoing compatibility issues
It had its problems. They were rebuilding it while having the old functionality and new functionality layered on top of each other. They were migrating the functionalities to the new solution, which caused significant problems. The mobile device management was not unified with the other endpoint management, creating structural issues.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"WildFire AI is the best option for this product."
"The protection offered by this product is good, as is the endpoint reporting."
"From a single pane of glass, you can easily manage all of your endpoints."
"The solution's stability is generally good."
"Monitoring is most valuable."
"Cortex is the best tool for endpoint detection, and I have used it to verify hashes or domains to identify malicious activity, trigger playbooks that automate and gather endpoint logs, block malicious processes, and update incident tickets, showcasing end-to-end processes with automation in investigation and reducing the analysis workflow."
"Threat identification and detection are the most valuable features of this solution."
"It collects and caches and the knowledge of machine learning from different customers to take to the cloud. It makes it better to use for everybody. It allows for quick learning and updates and can, therefore, offer zero-day malware security. This sharing of metadata helps make the solution very safe."
"Seqrite Endpoint Security provides external protection in terms of hard drives."
"The convenience has been great."
"In case it works, we are looking to use features like USB blocking, file upload alerts, and other antivirus features as well, but this software has to work first."
"The update process and policy control are good."
"The solution is centrally managed, easy to configure, and easy to use."
"The only thing that I have found useful is that I have an overview of my systems in the networks."
"With Seqrite, it is completely protected, and we have full control over what is happening on the end user's laptop."
"The setup process was easy for our remote clients and us as well."
"The feature I like the most is the Adaptive Protection... And it does not negatively affect users' activities because we can adapt it and allow binaries that are executed regularly, while forbidding those that are not executed within the company."
"The tool's performance is good. It provides efficient updates quickly, even before threats are encountered in our environment. We've been using this solution for the last fifteen years and have found it very good. It helps to prevent ransomware attacks. We are already using its antivirus and firewall solutions. It has asset management and XDR features."
"I like that Symantec can update directories."
"It protects emails and messages shared between users."
"Setting up Symantec is straightforward."
"The solution prevents any damage from viruses and provides risk mitigation for virus threats."
"I am impressed with the tool's detection response."
"The solution's most important feature is its reliability. It is not heavy on the workstation."

Cons

"Basically, they don't provide customer support tools just to investigate the logs."
"I have seen lagging with Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks. There was one time when we faced a threat actor trying to gain access to our system. When our team utilized the tool, we were all on the same dashboard and we faced a lag issue at that time of around five minutes, which was quite significant."
"We have found that there are times Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks does not detect some of the viruses, we have to use another protection solution called Kaspersky."
"The downsides of Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks are that in many incidents, when I enter the causality chain, there are numerous logs."
"The solution should force customers to integrate with network traffic to see the full benefits of XDR."
"The solution should enhance the ADR and reporting."
"There are some third-party solutions that are difficult to integrate with, which is something that can be improved."
"It tends to do 99.9% of things. The only thing I'd like is single sign-on authentication into their cloud platform so that my users can be properly authenticated against it."
"The solution's integration capabilities are moderate and could be improved."
"It should be able to detect and report any ransomware attack but currently, it doesn't detect and it doesn't report any."
"Endpoint Security would be improved by adding DLP."
"Sometimes, small and medium businesses, or even startups with just five, ten, or fifteen systems, are also keen to secure their data. There is a reluctance on the part of the technical team to extend installation support when the opportunity sizes are smaller. Seqrite Endpoint Security has a lot of value. Still, its marketing could be done much better on a larger scale, especially in India, in light of the new DPDP 2023 Act, which the Indian Parliament passed. It would be even more valuable if Seqrite could incorporate features to help companies comply with this law, it would be even more helpful."
"The solution could improve by providing better security and a cloud base version."
"User management is not that good currently, and so we have trouble with handling user management."
"Deployment of Seqrite Endpoint Security is generally straightforward. The only complexity we encounter is that, since it is cloud-based, there can be delays in updating the endpoint's status."
"I don't feel that the scalability part of Seqrite Endpoint Security is better than the other products in the market."
"Symantec Endpoint Security Complete could improve by integrating more easily with other Symantec security products."
"Installing Symantec Endpoint Security Complete is not as straightforward as the Bitdefender installation; I find the installation of this product really cumbersome."
"Symantec could have better support for iOS and Android mobile devices."
"Any traffic coming through should be recognized whether it is a legitimate URL or not."
"The solution's support is not available over the weekends. We also need to have the DLP, endpoint security, and encryption integrated into one agent."
"There are some limitations from the cloud security point of view."
"Symantec could have better support for iOS and Android mobile devices."
"I would like to see improvements to URL filtering, URL filtering IPS, and any URL."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I feel it is fairly priced."
"We didn't have to pay any additional fee for the cloud instance. It just came with the renewal, which was nice."
"It has reasonable pricing for the use cases it provides to the company."
"When we first bought it, it was a bit expensive, but it was worth it. The licensing was straightforward."
"Our customers have expressed that the price is high."
"It is "expensive" and flexible."
"The pricing is a little bit on the expensive side."
"The cost of Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks is $55 to $90 USD per endpoint per month."
"The solution's pricing is good for us, where it is neither cheap nor expensive."
"The pricing is reasonable."
"As per the suggestions from one of the experts we know, it is advisable to make a proper comparison with the local vendors instead of solely relying on online prices, which are often higher and quite expensive."
"You need to pay for a yearly license for Seqrite Endpoint Security, which is expensive."
"My company needs to purchase a yearly subscription for the licensing costs for Seqrite Endpoint Security."
"There is no option to refund the money and unfortunately, we bought a three-year license, seeing that Quick Heal is a long-established player in the market."
"The license isn't expensive."
"It is a cheaply priced product."
"Symantec Endpoint Security Complete is not expensive."
"I'm recommending going with three-year licensing, rather than the yearly licensing option for this product."
"The product's pricing is dependent on partnership levels. The solution's price is competitive compared to other solutions."
"License renewal is not a straightforward process. I have a three-year subscription. It takes a long time to renew the license after three years. It is not proactive on that. The solution is expensive for the coverage that it does. I have to include other products to complement the protection that Symantec Endpoint Security Complete does not cover. We have to pay 18 euros. There are no additional support or maintenance costs."
"In terms of costs, Symantec Endpoint Security Complete has become costlier compared to how much it was in the past. The cost of the product is very high now. The customer needs to pay extra for additional features, but not for technical support. For example, if you need an email gateway or if you are looking for URL filtering, you have to pay extra, and that's where the costs for Symantec Endpoint Security Complete become higher."
"The pricing is good. It's good value for the money."
"It's cost-effective and well-suited for smaller to midrange companies."
