Good data security, allowing local installations to prevent data from going to the internet
There were a lot of issues we faced. One notable improvement would be better API integration within the tool itself, as we still rely on external tools like Postman. Additionally, expanding language support beyond C#, Java, and JavaScript to include Python would be beneficial. An AI feature that automatically detects automation object properties and suggests actions would be a great addition. So, in future releases, AI solutions for automated property identification would be helpful.

Significantly reduces manual effort and improves team workflows through automated ticketing
We've used Agent Builder, IXP, and Maestro for orchestration. We have created context-grounded searches or chatbots using context grounding, and we also use context grounding within an Agentic flow where a bot or agent reads ServiceNow tickets to determine whether it has been assigned to the right work group. If it has not been assigned correctly due to human error, it automatically reassigns it to the right group. I would assess Agentic AI's ability to extract data points as effective. We created an agent for the purpose of extracting data, though not in a document. We created what we call an email conversation agent that engages with a customer, vendor, or someone in an email conversation with a set goal of extracting specific data points for an action to be performed subsequently. The one automation we have deployed in production involves the agent interacting with team members to collect data points and create a ServiceNow ticket. We appreciate almost all features of UiPath Platform, with one of the most successful ones being the use of Coms Mining. Most of the new features related to AI have all been good, and we use Agentic. We have already created a few agents and have started to use Maestro for a few flows, though we are not yet there to orchestrate an end-to-end workflow. We have good ROI from the automations we have developed with UiPath Platform, which far exceeds the investment in the platform. It has saved us tens of thousands of hours in manual effort, making the team members happy to pursue other things of value.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Ranorex is a great tool to learn automation with pleasure."
"This is a powerful, reliable and versatile all-around application testing suite."
"We tried several, and we chose Ranorex for its ability to cover large amounts of testing with minimal coding."
"Object identification is good."
"I tried to use different products Selenium, TestComplete, amongst others, but this was very familiar, fast, adaptable and flexible."
"It has reduced the cost of production and operations."
"I'm from a UFT background, so Ranorex Studio has a similar feel in terms of how it handles objects. It just felt familiar even though I'd never seen it before. However, it doesn't have all the bells and whistles of UFT, but it's a pretty good start, and it's cost-effective."
"The solutions's regression testing is very important for our company, as is the continuous integration process."
"Our business has been highly satisfied with the RPA solutions that we are providing thanks to UiPath."
"The solution is very user-friendly and easy to use. It comes with pre-built automation. The tutorials are very helpful."
"Our company has saved thousands of hours by automating accounting processes."
"UiPath has helped to both speed up and reduce the cost of our digital transformation."
"The ease of configuring new processes via drag-and-drop is invaluable."
"We have improved our performance, efficiency, and data reliability, and resources are happier working with more high-level activities."
"Now, with UiPath they get their work done within half of the time that it is done manually."
"The client is eliminating human errors as they are eliminating some of the accrual processes from SAP, where a lot of mistakes can be made. If the bot is not making mistakes, then they are eliminating errors by 100 percent, but this depends on whether the bot is efficient or error-free."

Cons

"I think it still needs to improve a lot."
"I'd like to know their testing strategies and to know what they can automate and what they can't. It can become pretty frustrating if you're trying to automate something that changes on a monthly or weekly basis."
"While the product does well with its primary job of testing, when we are using Ranorex it would be nice if it would report directly in HTML."
"For a very long time, we were running into crashes with either Ranorex or Ranorex's utility (UIALauncher) which would stop our testing dead in its tracks."
"They need to improve their support of different web browsers along with Flash support."
"There was one instance where I had an issue and contacted them for a solution; they were unable to provide it, and I ended up finding a workaround on my own."
"When we have updated the solution in the past there have been issues with the libraries. They need to make it clear that the libraries need to be upgraded too."
"It's usually any minor firewall change or anything changed in our security system that seems to throw me off for a few days where I have to troubleshoot it and figure out why it's not working."
"UiPath is very slow for scraping."
"With respect to the stability, on a scale from one to five, I would rate this solution a four. We had some issues where we needed to get in contact with the support, and sometimes, UiPath crashes on our servers."
"I would like to see a UiPath user group to discuss issues."
"UiPath should develop models for situations when other applications disrupt automation and provide a mechanism to override that. Efficiency issues are present and should be addressed."
"The Academy classes could be improved. There should be a portal for use cases. There should be more business examples."
"I would like to get more features in ML-related activities."
"I think UiPath Platform could improve in the catalog regarding options and hyperautomation, as I think this is more evaluated, and operations too."
"UiPath could work towards more engagement on the community practice side. Some of our people are having a hard time understanding how to make sense of the data that UiPath puts out."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"There are several types of licenses and you need to choose depending on your needs and level of usage."
"This solution is a more expensive solution compared to some of the other competitors."
"We paid €3,000 (approximately $3,300 USD) for this solution. When you add the runtime licenses it will be €3,500 (approximately $3,900 USD)."
"Our company has one license per user with each costing two lakh rupees."
"The licensing fees depend on the number of users."
"Licensing fees are paid on a yearly basis."
"The pricing is transparent, and the best part is that they have the Community version, so there isn't anything to hide. You can try the cloud version. They offer plenty of time, two months, for a trial."
"The pricing is competitive, and for large-scale use cases, UiPath may make better sense cost-wise. However, it is not very viable for small-scale use cases. Power Automate is much cheaper and has similar functionalities. UiPath offers two options. If you choose the on-premises option, then you would have to manage it yourself, but if you go for the fully managed one, then there won't be any overhead cost. We are gradually moving to Power Automate and Power Apps because we are already on the Microsoft stack, and it helps us reduce the footprint. If the cost of UiPath were comparable to that of Power Automate, then UiPath would have been the better alternative."
"I would rate the cost of UiPath eight out of ten with ten being the most expensive."
"From a cost perspective, unattended robots are better."
"I don't know the exact cost, but UiPath is more expensive than Power Automate and Automation Anywhere."
"When it comes to back office licenses, why can't we have parallel processors running on one back office license? I understand the commercial aspect, but when you have servers and a node locked license, you should be able to use the license from different instances."
"The solution is affordable enough to get a good return on your investment."
"It is expensive, and now it is getting more expensive. They are the number one in the market, and they are taking advantage of that. It is hard for the companies that have the full infrastructure supported on UiPath to change it. They have to keep it. UiPath is taking advantage of it."
