Decades of use have delivered secure, customizable control for public sector operations and finance
I have just completed three assessments: one on inventory demand planning, another on using artificial intelligence to bring supplier contracts in portable document format directly into PeopleSoft. PeopleSoft works both internally as well as with third-party products that integrate seamlessly with PeopleSoft. PeopleSoft operates both from a need-to-know-only basis as well as being able at the same time to do group purchase and realize large quantity purchase discounts. My clients have used marketplaces, and it is really industry-specific whether they use one or not, or if there is even one available. I would rate this product nine out of ten.

Head HRM Technology at a manufacturing company with 10,001+ employees
A customizable, end-to-end solution for Performance Management, Learning, and Succession Planning
* There should be a feature for succession managers to add employee-specific comments so that it is visible only to the manager. * Not sure how this can be made easier, but the development of interface from the core HR system to this system is a tedious and time-consuming process, involving multiple iterations of modifications and testing. * Analytics is one area where this system really needs a large improvement because currently, it has only basic reporting features.

"HR/payroll is integrated with Financials, so we don't have to enter data in two places."
"One of the best on-prem ERP systems on the market with robust features."
"However, I definitely enjoy working with the software as I have been working with them for so long."
"PeopleSoft allows you to schedule upgrades and inform users beforehand. This gives your IT team time to manage the implementation and minimize disruption."
"The time system is what we get the most benefit from."
"The most valuable feature is that it's easy to use."
"This is a good product and I recommend it, although it depends on the use case for the business."
"System usability has improved to a large extent and our manual effort has been reduced."

Cons

"If there is another release, they should look at going to mobile computing to stay competitive."
"There are many areas in this product that can be improved, especially in regards to the EPM side since they have different products doing that."
"I think it needs better integration with other parties."
"It needs a better interface on the financial side because there have been more improvements to the RMS interface than the financial one."
"I am not satisfied with this solution because its performance is not good."
"PeopleSoft should be more flexible with the configuration. There should be less coding and more configuration."
"There could be more adaptability of the system."
"Often support just asks people to install a lot of upgrades. Sometimes they don't really give you clear details as to why you need to upgrade. They just say, "You need to upgrade this because there's a newer image, etc". They never really give you the reason underlying why you are having errors."
"Analytics is one area where this system really needs a large improvement because currently, it has only basic reporting features."
