Provides unified access to multiple HR functions and reduces navigation effort
I am generally satisfied with the talent management capabilities in Oracle HCM Cloud, but as I mentioned, there are certain pages that really lag sometimes and there are a lot of bugs in talent management. Before, when it had a responsive UI, it was fine, but after it switched to Redwood, I feel there are bugs, and the functionality stated in the documents is not accurate. It takes some time to get that feature, and we need to raise product SR or ask in the community how it works. It's not easily understandable, especially in the talent management area. One potential area of improvement for Oracle HCM Cloud is that it lags. It takes time to reflect the pages, and the loading time now requires us to wait for the page to load. Earlier, we used to click and see the page immediately. However, now we need to wait for it to get loaded, which can be frustrating when working in a fast mode.

Offers strong HR features but recruiting module needs essential improvements
The analytics and reporting aspect in Personio for the recruiting part was below expectations compared to some other applicant tracking systems. It is clunky and cannot be tailored to specific needs. The reporting and analytics for the recruiting part are insufficient. The ability to filter applications based on filtering questions added to applications was missing in recruiting. Other recruiting software performs this function much better. Keyword searches within applicants' resumes in the database within recruiting were not possible. I brought this up with the Personio account manager and was told it was on the development list, but these are essential features for any recruiter. I would advise companies looking for an ATS and considering Personio to get a separate recruiting piece of software that can interface with Personio instead.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"HCM Cloud's most valuable feature is its ease of use - it's interlinked, so you can drill down into information."
"The most valuable feature is the support for mobile devices."
"The core part and the talent management part are most valuable."
"Oracle HCM Cloud adds the latest features on a quarterly basis to the cloud, which makes it very easy for customers to adapt to the new features."
"Since it is an integrated solution, it brings speed and efficiency to the business process."
"The newer Redwood team is more client-focused and this is very valuable."
"I think that it's stable. I don't believe that there are any issues."
"Our overall evaluation of Oracle HCM Cloud as a general ledger tool is mixed. It is a comprehensive and versatile piece of software."
"As an HR tool, Personio is really good; it is straightforward adding your organizational structure through it with the accounting codes so you can interface with many accounting modules and payroll modules."
"Personio provides an opportunity to set up structure with certain steps, creating a clear interviewing process, which resulted in hiring better candidates faster because having a system in place is better than having none."

Cons

"The compensation module needs further automation."
"An employee needs training to apply for leave, something as simple as that. They shouldn't need training materials or user guides to navigate the system. We're moving towards empowering users, especially with end-user-facing systems. People should be self-reliant and not need to rely on manuals. Oracle HCM Cloud is very old-school in this regard."
"The features available in EBS should be available on the cloud as well. When these features are not available on the cloud, it's hard to convince customers to migrate."
"It could be more user-friendly."
"The interface could be more user friendly."
"Cloud learning can be improved."
"I would like to see more direct access for both human resources and employees without so many screens to navigate."
"The customization of the solution presents many challenges."
"The analytics and reporting aspect in Personio for the recruiting part was below expectations compared to some other applicant tracking systems."
"Personio is not scalable as an ATS, and I struggle to work with it."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The contract for one of them will be extended for three years and for another one for two years. One of them is paying monthly, and another one is paying per quarter. I don't know about the third one. So, it differs."
"There is a subscription to use this solution, and there can be additional fees."
"Oracle HCM Cloud is pricey, but price-wise, it's now more competitive than in the past year. Here in Central Europe, people also look at the pricing, but Central Europe falls under the UAE and Abu Dhabi in terms of headquarters, management, and strategy, but those states don't care too much about the pricing. Pricing is a significant factor in choosing a solution. In the past, Oracle HCM Cloud was compared to the SAP solution, the largest competitor and up to thirty percent higher in price. Now, Oracle HCM Cloud has a price increase of five to ten percent, which could be pricier than SAP now, but it's a more competitive product nowadays and comparable to SAP."
"I rate the product's pricing a seven out of ten."
"It is definitely super expensive. Oracle is very, very expensive for what they offer."
"I don't know how much it costs, but I know that everything is included. We don't pay anything extra apart from the licensing fee."
"On a scale from one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive, I rate the solution's pricing a five out of ten."
"On average, it's not a cheap solution."
