Data projects have grown rapidly and support complex analytics and quick dashboard delivery
Some things that could be improved in Oracle Analytics Cloud is definitely the way it works. In some cases, for example, if you want to create analytic functions such as the percentage of a measure over another, which is a straightforward question you might ask, it appears simple to do, but the result is not what you expect. I would make it more user-friendly in terms of creating new measures. The measure creation feature could be improved. In terms of functionality, there are not many functions that are completely missing. There is one aspect that if you compare it with Power BI from Microsoft, which works completely in memory and therefore puts everything in memory to allow many calculations on the fly on what is in memory, that is missing, but it is architecturally different and would not be possible to ask for something like that. Some time features and time series analysis functions could be improved. Calculating a year ago and previous period functions could definitely work with some improvement.

Unified data workflows have improved reporting quality and now support better decisions
The best features Pyramid Analytics offers include a broad range of features, which I think is one of the advantages of it. It has a lot of connectors and a lot of different capabilities. I would say end-to-end capabilities is one of the nice features of it. Regarding the end-to-end capabilities and lots of connectors, I found the connectors most valuable. If you are trying to do Snowflake, SQL server, or any of the normal database platforms that you see in the cloud or on-premises, it has those connectors built in. You don't have to worry about writing custom drivers. That is a nice feature to have. Pyramid Analytics has impacted my organization positively in that I use it for my clients' organizations. For my organization, it is great because it gives me a technology platform that clients enjoy using and I am proficient with. For my clients, it is about delivering on their aspirations in terms of what they want to do with their data and where they want to head in their organization. This is definitely a tool that we can use in order to get there. After implementing Pyramid Analytics for my clients, I have seen measurable outcomes and specific improvements, such as having a single platform that gets them from the raw data to the endpoint reporting. I think that streamlining has a positive effect on the quality of the outputs. The quality of the outputs definitely leads to better decision making.

Pros

"It's valuable feature is that it is user-friendly and doesn't require much time for understanding. The solution is stable. The initial setup was straightforward."
"It's great for consolidation and creating one source of truth."
"I've discovered that the new layout of this product makes Docker sharing, machine learning support, and data backups more efficient. Unlike the older method of linking physical, pre-logical, and presentation layers separately, the new interface simplifies this process. Additionally, the integration of databases and machine learning is seamless, with the new visualization approach being particularly beautiful and highly beneficial."
"The technical support is excellent, and they respond quickly."
"The scalability is acknowledged as pretty good, although my evaluation is limited because I used the tool for a short period."
"Using this tool, we were able to forget about using Excel and keep using it as the only source of data."
"Oracle Analytics Cloud's most valuable feature is its visualization."
"It's robust. It has the ability to handle massive amounts. After reporting has been developed, there is an ease of use or a user-friendly interface for a trained workforce."
"Pyramid has a wide level of uses, as it's a complete ETL process and has a good level of connecting to a lot of data sources."
"This solution is convenient and works well with simple data sets."
"The best features Pyramid Analytics offers that stand out to me include the Present feature, the dynamic reporting capability, Time Intelligence, and data modeling, all of which are excellent."
"After implementing Pyramid Analytics for my clients, I have seen measurable outcomes and specific improvements, such as having a single platform that gets them from the raw data to the endpoint reporting."
"Pyramid Analytics has positively impacted my organization by allowing us to analyze sales data and identify opportunities regarding how to use the budget and where to allocate it to get more sales."
"Pyramid Analytics has improved my decision-making process, especially if I go for NLP, because I simply write the questions and it will automatically go with some of the data and create a visualization, which has saved time by automatically giving me a very fast answer."
"Pyramid Analytics has allowed us to be more insightful in our reporting, positively impacting our organization."
"With Pyramid Analytics, data analysis that took about half a day just takes half an hour right now, and in terms of overall revenue, we have seen a 100% increase in our overall revenue with the help of Pyramid Analytics."

Cons

"Oracle Analytics Cloud is lacking in charts. They should add more charts to it."
"They could improve the ease of developing the dashboard and interacting with it."
"We did not have a positive experience with technical support."
"The scalability has room for improvement."
"When we have, for example, a table with low performance, we have several issues with drawing some graphics in the Oracle cloud."
"As with most BI tools, the visualizations can be made much nicer."
"The learning curve should be improved, and I'm uncertain if tutorials are readily available or easily accessible. We may have resorted to looking on YouTube for such information. Having easily understandable documents or guides for new users would be beneficial. AI integration would be an interesting feature to add in the next release."
"The product should improve its user interface. It should be welcoming and modern. Developers should also find it easier to build data models. Oracle Analytics Cloud needs to have better visualizations and more options in the marketplace."
"I think one thing is that Pyramid Analytics can sometimes have a slow loading speed, especially with large data pools, and the interface could be much more modern."
"Pyramid Analytics can be improved because some part is not used by every company still."
"When creating a data model in Pyramid Analytics, it's a bit complicated compared to other tools, especially to Microsoft BI."
"There is room for improvement in terms of documentation and examples, especially for newcomers like me who are learning both business intelligence and Pyramid."
"The general amount of negative comments that I am hearing from my team makes me very wary."
"I found Pyramid Analytics to have some reliability issues; there was a time when the service was down for about a week, impacting our development and client dashboards, which should not happen, as data products should always be operational."
"As for how Pyramid Analytics can be improved, I wish that there was a greater degree of customization available."
"From my experience so far, I would not recommend Pyramid Analytics."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Oracle Analytics Cloud's pricing is generally higher than that of other vendors."
"I don't know the exact cost, but its pricing was good. Its pricing was competitive. I would rate it a three out of five in terms of pricing."
"I rate the product's pricing a nine on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive."
"Bottom line, the cost is really, really cheap compared to other solutions. Oracle has made a huge effort on the pricing."
"We pay on a monthly basis and it is $10 per user each month."
"The price is reasonable; it's quite a bit lower than Tableau and Spotfire."
"I would rate it a five out of five in terms of the value received for the price charge."
"It is an expensive platform."
"The licensing cost is not excessively expensive, but it does increase with the addition of new features and modules."
