Without it, we would need thousands of additional people.
If you do not see it as purely an Identity Management tool but as a possibility to automate processes in the company, it provides a huge amount of value.
One Identity Manager saved us approximately thirty to forty percent in terms of time, money, and resources compared to our pre-deployment setup.
Any PAM solution, when I deploy it well and customers use it, leads to a return on investment.

6.5
One Identity Safeguard’s customer service is praised for responsiveness and efficiency, but standard support faces mixed reviews.
We do not contact their technical support directly because we have a service agreement already in place with them with some dedicated and some non-dedicated resources.
first-level support lacks expertise
If you have outages or critical production problems, you can count on the manufacturer to help resolve the situation.
They should focus on bringing in technically skilled individuals who understand the tools and technologies involved.
Compared to my experiences with other tools, their support is exemplary.
I sometimes need escalations to reach expertise.
Sometimes, I get a very helpful response and they address issues on a call.
When I have day-to-day incidents and problems, the response is good enough in terms of time and quality.

One Identity Safeguard is praised for scalability and ease of resource deployment but may affect performance and high availability.
The scalability of Omada Identity is excellent; they offer flexible pricing for licenses, accommodating both full accounts and lighter identities, which makes it truly scalable.
We could handle about 1,00,000 records for different users.
I would rate its scalability as strong since we have not experienced any significant challenges.
This includes designing and implementing IAM solutions for legacy systems, cloud migrations, and multifactor authentications.
The scalability of One Identity Safeguard is perfect, scoring ten out of ten.
We have a cluster of SPPs and a cluster of SPSs, and we can add a node to that cluster without much fuss.
I would rate it a nine out of ten for scalability.

Room For Improvement

Omada Identity needs improvements in interface, integration, performance, scalability, reporting, and support to enhance user experience and flexibility.
One Identity Manager requires interface modernization, improved performance, better documentation, responsive support, and simplified tools for customization and integration.
One Identity Safeguard needs improvements in integration, management, documentation, interface, support, monitoring, threat detection, and pricing.
The biggest issue, which is the reason why we are transitioning from their product to SailPoint, is the overall user experience.
There is room for improvement in Omada Identity, primarily in customization for administrators; many custom tasks require contacting providers even for simple changes.
This lack of 24-hour support is problematic from a testing and development standpoint.
It is crucial for them to expand their support team to match their product's success.
When it comes to privileged access management, we need to know who has access to what, which is the central problem we want to solve.
For some configurations on the SPS side, if I need to make changes, such as for DNS servers, I must redeploy the machine.
There are many steps. We are still in the onboarding phase, and it seems very manual.
Another area for improvement could be the threat detection capabilities, like those seen in other PAM vendors.

Setup Cost

Omada Identity is competitively priced and valued for its comprehensive, flexible licensing model despite higher cloud version costs.
One Identity Manager provides flexible pricing with potential high implementation costs but offers strong functionality and compliance benefits.
One Identity Safeguard is costly but valued for flexibility and robust security, with straightforward licensing and worthwhile investment.
They are lower than some of their competitors.
the product itself is said to have a good price, although the support can be expensive.
On-premises might incur higher costs.
We have a good enterprise license agreement, and we are very happy with what we get for the price we pay for it.
On-premises, it is cheap.
It is one of those where the more you buy, the cheaper it is.
It is cheaper than CyberArk.
It is more expensive than Secret Server but way less expensive than CyberArk.

Valuable Features

Omada Identity provides flexible identity management with automation, compliance support, security enhancements, and user-friendly features for efficient access control.
One Identity Manager offers flexible customization, seamless integration, powerful security, and supports complex data management with a user-friendly interface.
One Identity Safeguard enhances security with seamless user experience, extensive features, centralized access, and robust monitoring for on-prem and cloud management.
Omada Identity helps automate reviews of access requests and reroutes them to appropriate people, which is what it should do; it really assists in reducing the workload time.
Technically, the product does everything one would expect from an identity and access management platform.
It ensures high security through multiple approval processes, preventing unauthorized access and enhancing compliance by providing time-based access for privileged accounts with proper audit trails.
It continuously monitors user behavior in real-time, triggering automated responses, and manages secure access for both on-premises and cloud applications using protocols such as SAML.
Once you have some experience, it demonstrates best practices and guides you on the correct way to use the tool.
The auditing and approval mechanisms are features we did not have before and are greatly appreciated.
I think One Identity should improve its documentation because it is vast and not clear, and clear documentation on implementing the solution would be advantageous for consultants.
Compared to other PAM solutions, it is easy to implement and use from an administrator's point of view.

The interface is easy to use and gives you a solid overview
The cloud-based deployment was straightforward, but the on-prem deployment was in a highly complex ecosystem. Omada has matured since then. I wouldn't say that it isn't straightforward, but it depends on the customer. A standard deployment is relatively easy, but it can be more painful if you need a lot of customization. We deployed the cloud solution in around four months, nearly meeting the 12-week benchmark. The on-prem deployment took three years. It was a highly complex ecosystem that was dependent on other systems. Depending on the size of your environment, you need a product owner and some specialists for maintenance. My last customer was a university with a complex environment. They had around 12 people involved in maintenance at that organization. Typically, it's between 2-5 people.

Provides robust identity governance with deep customization and advanced integration for complex environments
One Identity Manager is a very robust tool with plenty of out-of-the-box features in the identity and access management space, and it is very easy to customize and fits for very complex platforms. For multinational companies or those with various locations managing their identities and applications, it is very easy and very robust in nature. It also helps streamline aspects of application governance, including access decisions, compliance, and auditing. It has a module called access recertification or attestation for recertification and a robust segregation of duties engine, as a governance platform that collects data and provides a variety of dashboards for management. One Identity Manager provides IGA for difficult-to-manage aspects of SAP, and I can manage by assigning profiles, roles, and groups. There's also a role-in-role concept where I can assign a role to another role. One Identity Manager delivers SAP-specialized workflows and business logic. For example, if my SAP solution is integrated with SAP GRC and I want to request a segregation of duties check with GRC before provisioning an SAP role, all those tasks can be done in One Identity Manager. It is easy to manage and provides a single platform for enterprise-level administration and governance of users' data and privileged accounts, but one must know the product. Learning One Identity Manager takes some time, around four to five months, but once learned, managing applications such as SAP or Active Directory becomes easy. One Identity Manager helps minimize gaps in governance coverage for test, dev, and production servers, and it provides internal deployment tools that make it straightforward to manage code across different environments.

Transparent mode for privileged sessions will greatly simplify our client's administrative situation
We're introducing the solution's transparent mode for privileged sessions. This is part of what the client hasn't used before. It will simplify their administrative situation greatly. So far, the rollout of this feature has been a seamless process, but we're still in the midst of rolling it out. The benefits will be on the risk side. Right now, the way accounts are managed, you don't necessarily know who is using an account. There's a shared admin account, and that's not a good thing. And those accounts are shared in wallets by several people. One of the real benefits of safeguarding here is that the client will have an absolute audit of who is using an administrative interface, whether it's server or network.
