We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The SharePoint feature is a really good connection, there are many features that are good.""The latest version of Nintex has many features. We have a clear roadmap and the necessary application to integrate it into our platform.""NWC forms could be better. Also, the ability to build workflows that are not dependent on SharePoint is very desirable. The forms feature just isn’t as functional as the forms for SharePoint.""I find it useful to utilize LDAP query action to find out the status of a particular user.""The integration capabilities have been very useful.""This solution is very easy to use and customize, using almost zero coding. It's built on SharePoint which many companies in our country have experience with. This made it easy to adapt the application in our environment.""It saves time as tasks are automated.""The technical support is very good."

"For automating mundane activities, I can recommend WorkFusion.""The tool itself is easy. I started using it without really having any coding experience... After just a few clicks, it was doing reconciliations for me.""OCR, document processing, is one of the main features of WorkFusion. It can analyze your documents very efficiently. The accuracy is close to 90 percent. It can analyze and extract data from any document to populate or update it in other sources, like Excel or Google Sheets.""We recommend different solutions based on our customers' needs, and WorkFusion is what we offer for those who need a premium solution.""This solution has great document recognition capabilities.""The dashboard is the solution's most valuable feature. When clients want to look at the data it's very easy for them to do so. The dashboard for the IT manager is very useful if there are issues and to create and follow processes.""We have seen Workfusion improve on accuracy and compliance... With the Workfusion model, we reduce human error and the need for further QC. We switch more to a QA process where we're testing whether the model is effective.""The Control Tower enables us to create and use workflows. It helps us run processes. There are a lot of small features, but the Control Tower is a very good feature, wherein we can create bots and schedule them as well as create different instances of them to run in different regions."

Cons
"The cost of the solution is high and has room for improvement.""Built-in reporting on-prem is limited and clunky at best.""The product’s support for the mobile platform and its ability to handle artificial loads could be better.""Currently, copying workflow actions from one workflow to another is not possible. Also, the Office 365 solution is not as mature as on-premise.""While Nintex Workflow has pretty robust troubleshooting abilities, I think that improving the default logging and notifications would be helpful.""K2's support for DevOp team corporations is weak.""Currently, it's taking quite some time to deploy a package, it needs improvement""The management server and the admin page where you can manage processes need improvement."

"Where it can be improved is the speed. I built two bots, one with WorkFusion and the same thing with Python. My feeling was that the speed at which Python did things, how fast it did them, was quite cool. It was faster.""This is a Java-based application that takes up a lot of space and when it runs, consumes a lot of memory. This affects the reliability because it gets to a point where it hangs.""The problem with the solution is that it is agnostic, so it's not made for banks. Sometimes we are challenged because of this. We have to make everything from scratch to make it work for our clients.""One of the issues that we are facing here in China, is that we cannot access the material for training because it is on YouTube. In China, we do not have access to YouTube.""It should integrate with more ERP solutions like SAP. It doesn't currently have that ability.""If we're talking from a developer perspective, the task of actually building automation is not ideal. That's not their strong side.""We would like to see further improvement in the area of running headless.""We have had some problems in the past with the Inspector tool that looks at the elements on the screen. Replacing it or improving it is needed."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "Nintex products are expensive, but valuable. Licensing in on-premise was historically based on a perpetual model, where you’d license per Web front-end. However, they are switching exclusively to a consumption (subscription) model, where you purchase the number of workflows you think you’ll use in your environment, and can scale up from there."
  • "Offering a licensing model that allows for multiple small workflows would be a huge improvement to an already great platform."
  • "Our maintenance costs are reduced."
  • "The annual support costs are expensive."
  • "Comparatively, it's expensive."
  • "We pay on a yearly basis. It's my understanding that we pay approximately $11,000/year."
  • "The initial investment in K2 is heavy. Currently, the expenditure is $28,000 for a year. After we go to the cloud, it is going to be per seat and probably cheaper. Currently, there are unlimited users."
  • "There is an initial fee when purchasing and a fee for maintenance afterward."

  • "Find it online."
  • "They have a very expensive license compared to any other automation tool. For instance, at $50,000 - $60,000, you can bring in an Automation Anywhere solution. For this solution, you need at least $250,000 to get something going."
  • "It is not the most expensive solution, but it is also not the cheapest."
  • "I can't speak to pricing. It's a contract signed by upper management."
  • "We are on an annual contract to use the solution."
  • "My client is using RPA Express, which is available for them to use free of charge."
  • "One upgrade took a year to do, from the first server being built to the last bot being migrated. This was because we had to migrate all our existing bots. This is the same process and time frame that we are expecting towards the upcoming upgrade. I will end up spending half a million dollars to do an upgrade."
  • "The solution was not the cheapest, but it was also not the most expensive. Workfusion was very open to negotiating pricing and to working within the objectives of our firm."
