Data restoration is the most valuable feature.
If I access my documents from the mobile app, I am also able to share these documents with accounts in other apps such as email, WhatsApp, Dropbox, google drive, etc. What I'd like is to be able to share a document or folder with other Mozy accounts (users), with limits of either under the same admin domains or even with other domains.

Backup operations have become reliable and reporting now simplifies hybrid cloud protection
Veeam Data Platform has Veeam Enterprise Manager as well as Veeam ONE as valuable features, which allow us to generate various kinds of reports that are required for the customer. Instant VM Recovery is a good feature of the high-speed recovery features in Veeam Data Platform, and Continuous Data Protection (CDP) is also a good feature. Ransomware protection is a good feature added in Veeam Data Platform from version 12 onwards, and the ability to create immutable repositories is also a good feature in Veeam. The analytics part of Veeam Data Platform is a good solution because I have worked on various backup technologies such as EMC NetWorker and NetBackup. However, I have not used the analytical parts currently but will check it out. Streamlining processes as well as saving money are benefits that Veeam Data Platform provides for the end user, as it allows for application-aware backups and database backups without the need for various kinds of licenses that other backup software requires. Veeam offers socket-based licenses, instance-based licenses, and capacity-based licenses, which is a great feature.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"I've had good experience with the Mac backup client running silently and keeping files backed up."
"The data restoration feature is the most valuable because the end user requires minimum support to recover lost data."
"I was using Symantec Backup Exec, and we switched because Mozy is easier to use, and the cost is less."
"The ability to kick start the service live on the users machine; I also like the graphical representations of data space."
"The most valuable feature is how reliable Veeam Backup is."
"Veeam won because it is simple to use and great to integrate with virtualization solutions."
"It automated backup to the point of almost no involvement needed and our backups can be checked, tested and verified at any time in accordance with our policies."
"Veeam has been the best BDR product that we have ever used."
"The tool is good for VMware environments."
"The most valuable features of Veeam Backup Replication are ease of use, dashboards, and reporting."
"My advice to others is Veeam Backup Replication is a good solution."
"The most valuable feature of the solution is its backup feature."

Cons

"The selection of directories and files to back up can't be managed centrally, it has to be set on each user's computer."
"The sales support is too poor and there is no point of contact, local representatives are not in positions to assist or even provide a proposal."
"Automated client deployment was not straightforward and never worked for me."
"The support staff were directed to give support on specifics and to stick to the support plan; anything out of the ordinary would be a challenge."
"The tech support is always there to help out but you need to take note of the time difference. They don't seems to have dedicated resource to cover the APAC time zone from what I have experienced."
"The deduplication feature could be improved by changing to global deduplication."
"Speed and more management."
"We haven't had any issues at all with it other than the fact that there is a slight process to acquire additional licenses if we want to expand our number of hosts."
"It could use DR features similar to Zerto."
"One of the downsides to Veeam is that it's just software-based."
"I cannot recall coming across any features that were lacking."
"Veeam's biggest limitation is the lack of integration. I can't use the tool because there is no integration between the tool and the environment."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"Veeam products are less expensive than other products. The licensing costs are low and they're pretty affordable."
"The price is reasonable."
"We pay for a license to use this solution, and we recommend that our customers pay for a license and a renewal license."
"The pricing is on the higher side, so I think they have to think about the price. It's a stable product and there was no requirement to keep in touch with the support team, so the renewal license was too expensive."
"The product must improve its pricing."
"Its licensing is very simple. We can make changes very easily."
"Its pricing is really good."
"The price of Veeam Backup Replication has been increasing their price and my customers are asking why. They have CPU-based licenses and a Universal License, the prices should be reduced."
