Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Jira as a structure has Confluence for documentation, and for what it is offering it is a strong suit with Atlassian.""The workflows are very easy to handle as far as scalability goes.""I can use Jira Query Language (JQL) to write queries to see the stories that are there for the current sprint. I can also sort them by assignment. I also use Jira is for burndown charts, which give an indication of how efficiently the squad is performing. I also use the Active Sprints function and a feature called Planning Poker.""It's very simple to change the workflow and adapt it. Jira is very user friendly for the agent and the user.""Jira is easy to use and there are a lot of tools that are integrated with it.""The burndown chart is also helpful when it comes to reporting and allows us to know where we are going, especially during development.""Jira is designed for issue tracking, making the process much easier than traditional methods like paper-based tracking. It is number one for agile management.""The sprint tracking is really helpful and very convenient."

"We can integrate Zoho Projects with Zoho CRM.""The product is very easy to understand.""It integrates so well with other Zoho applications, and that really helps to extend the features of Zoho Projects.""Zoho Projects is very flexible and user-friendly.""While integrating a voice solution with Zoho Projects, the focus was on creating a unified interface for voice and customer engagement across various platforms like Facebook, social media, and emails. The primary goal was to seamlessly merge the two platforms into a single interface. To achieve this, we engaged in API integrations and worked on aspects such as initializing, authentication, and access control.""The timeline features are excellent.""The most valuable feature of Zoho Projects is all integrated into one. We don't have to start using multiple tools, such as Projects, CRM, Marketing, Automation, Finance, and setting up Meetings. It's all in one solution. I don't have to go to multiple different platforms to have all the features I need.""It's easy for a user with a technical background to set up Zoho Projects on their own."

Cons
"Something I do not like about the new version is that there is a need to browse all the way back to the beginning, should a person click on a task that is specifically for his group and wish to go back and look at the other portfolios or people.""What could be improved is the migration between the testing and production environments. This could be automated somehow as the manual transfer of certain workflows and functionalities is very time consuming right now.""I would love to have more features to make nice documents, like Release Notes or a feature overview, right from JIRA.""I have had problems with performance and unresponsiveness. All of a sudden, the performance slowed down, and I had a number of users that could not use the tool.""While it's very powerful, it's very complex sometimes.""I would like our clients' IT group to be able to have oversight without setting up agents. We're managing tickets, and I'd like their IT group to see everything we're doing without having to set them up as agents. There should be a better way of managing their users. I've got such requests, but Jira is expensive, and it is difficult to pay an agent fee for somebody else to view these tickets. Currently, the only way in which I can do that is by setting a user up as an agent, and it becomes cost-prohibitive. They need to do a better job on ticket viewers.""Having more seamless integration with Confluence would really help us track our product management activity and other product details in one place.""This solution would be improved with the inclusion of integration with SVN, and auto-sync with the build release number."

More Jira Cons →

"It is not easy to drag and drop a task from one person to the other. I think the resolution for the issue is work in progress. The product's stability can be improved.""The tool should add live chat, live call, and live meeting features where clients can communicate.""The only room for improvement over here is a feature related to the trend, like AI-related things that we can expect need to be introduced.""The UI and UX must be improved.""If given the opportunity, I would focus on improving automation within Zoho Projects. While attempting to integrate with other platforms, users often encounter errors. The integration capabilities of Zoho Projects could be enhanced. Currently, the integration options are categorized as either easy or customized, with the latter requiring deluge code, which might pose challenges due to its lesser-known usage.""Zoho Projects' time log addition part can be improved.""The solution’s interface should be improved.""The solution should improve on integration and customization."

    Overview

Jira is a powerful cloud- and subscription-based application lifecycle and issue management solution. It is designed to aid users both in project management and in resolving any issues that arise at any point in the software development process. It is especially concerned with easing the ability of developers to collaborate.

    Jira Benefits

Some of the ways that organizations can benefit by choosing to deploy Jira include:

    • DevOps lifecycle visibility and planning. Jira provides application developers with tools that enable them to track and visualize where they are in the development process. This means that a DevOps team can measure their progress at all times. Jira’s roadmapping feature also enables a DevOps team to work more efficiently by setting goals for their projects, keeping them on track. Additionally, they are able to track whether they are meeting the goals that they set for their projects.
    • Regular product updates. Atlassian is constantly updating Jira so that it is continuously evolving into an ever more powerful and user-friendly solution. Users can be sure that the product that they are using is always being tweaked so as to provide them with the best possible project management solution.
    • Flexibility. Jira enables users to customize their workflows and dashboard so that the solution is operating in a way that best matches their needs. Jira can also integrate with more than 3,000 other applications and integrations. Organizations can use it to expand their project management and DevOps capabilities in many different ways.

    Jira Features

    • Security capabilities. Jira is equipped with a number of useful security features. It gives administrators the ability to restrict access to certain tools so that only users who are authorized to complete certain tasks have access to the tools related to the completion of that task. Users can also set default permissions so that only particular users can work on new projects or particular projects.
    • Real-time notification feature. Users can set Jira so that it offers them notifications that contain critical information in real time. It can send users email notifications when pressing issues have been updated. They can also set it to notify them about tasks that may be due, or other similar events.

    • Activity log. Jira has the ability to track any and all changes that are taking place within the software framework. Users can keep a close eye on everything that is going on. This promotes a high level of visibility and can be leveraged to aid developers in their collaboration efforts.

    Reviews from Real Users

Jira is a powerful solution that stands out when compared to many of its competitors. Two major advantages it offers are its workflow engine and its highly customizable dashboard.

Bharath R., the tool implementation and project management lead at a financial services firm, writes, “I feel the strongest feature of Jira is its workflow engine. It empowers us to automate our workflows within our organization. It's the one characteristic of Jira which I think can help any organization, be it in any domain.”

Uday J., a staff engineer at a computer company, says, “Another thing that I like a lot about Jira is that in the dashboard, you can plug the modules that you want. You can enable certain sections. For example, you can show trend history, open Jira tickets, etc. Some of the managers have created a dashboard for each engineer.”

Zoho Projects is an online project management software that helps you run your business with ease. It stands as a comprehensive solution to your day-to-day problems in project management and adds value to your business by leaps and bounds.
