Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Multi-agent orchestration has transformed how I build reliable, testable AI assistants
The best things to improve about IBM watsonx Orchestrate are better debugging across multiple agent workflows. When several agents and tools collaborate, troubleshooting can get complicated. I would want an even clearer end-to-end trace showing exactly why agent A delegated to agent B, why a tool was selected, what context was passed, where latency occurred, and where the failure originated. IBM already has strong execution tracing, but this can always be more developer-friendly. I also want stronger automated evaluation and regression testing; every time I modify a prompt, model, tool description, or agent, I want to know whether I broke something else. IBM introduced AgentOps and simulated user evaluations, but I would expand that further with easier CI/CD style regression suites and business-specific KPIs such as task completion, routing accuracy, hallucination rate, and tool call success. I also want more predictable agent routing; in multi-agent systems, two agents may have overlapping capabilities, so the orchestrator sometimes must infer which one is appropriate based on descriptions. IBM itself provides guidance on writing agent descriptions to improve routing accuracy, but I would want stronger routing controls, confidence scores, deterministic fallback rules, and easier visualization of why a particular agent was selected.

Low-code workflows have transformed how we automate processes and build enterprise apps
First and foremost, ServiceNow Now Platform allows us to do a low-code or no-code platform, which is the wonderful first feature. On top of that, if you want to do some customization along with the low-code and no-code, you can do it. Beyond that, if you write a full-fledged customized code and make your functionality, you can do it. Workflow is there, and we can automate our workflows. Flow is there as an option. Apart from workflow and flow, we have many business rules and script includes. These are all the technical components and features of ServiceNow Now Platform that allow us to achieve our objective. ServiceNow Now Platform offers a very easy feature that we call workflow or flow. Using workflow or flow, we can customize industry workflows. The development on that flow is very simple, and you can use drag and drop functionality. If you want to do some scripting, you can do it. This is an awesome feature of ServiceNow Now Platform that allows us to develop or automate any flow in quick time. Internally, ServiceNow Now Platform uses a lot of AI features and machine learning features. This makes it more wonderful. AI and machine learning are the core of ServiceNow Now Platform, and they are using it heavily. It is making a lot of impact on deliverables. You can develop anything whatever you want on ServiceNow Now Platform. If you understand ServiceNow Now Platform capabilities, you can develop a full-fledged application on ServiceNow Now Platform easily. You don't have to write scratch code or do any database operations. You just need to create tables and forms, which are very easy to develop if you are familiar with ServiceNow. Everything is on one platform, so it is a single source of data that you can find on ServiceNow itself for the overall enterprise. ServiceNow Now Platform offers a reporting feature very well. Along with the reporting, they are offering workspace and dashboard. All these UI interfaces you can use to extract precise information for your customer. This is really helping the customer make decisions with the precise and versatile reports. You can have a list report view, a graph report view, or a pie chart. All these features can be developed quickly and used in ServiceNow. This is where ServiceNow Now Platform makes a lot of difference.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The return on investment from Automation Anywhere at our organization has been both tangible and intangible, delivering value far beyond the initial financial calculation."
"The most valuable thing about using this product is that we are able to use the time that we spent doing manual processing for other progressive purposes."
"You do not need to have IT skills. I come from a finance background, so I can attest to the fact that you do not need IT skills to use Automation Anywhere to leverage it on your teams."
"There are many features that are valuable including Whatsapp messages, OCR, and image recognization, but I have not tried all of them."
"Automation Anywhere has very strong game because it is always up for asking feedback."
"Automation Anywhere was the simplest solution, and it offered us immediate support."
"It has improved the reliability of our monthly billing processes that, in the past, was dependent on manual, nine-to-five types of activities, and we can now schedule those activities, process 24 hours a day, and then we review exceptions."
"It has helped us a lot with our digitized work, and we have automated a lot of the bank's processes."
"IBM watsonx Orchestrate helped my team move from building every AI workflow from scratch to using reusable agents, tools, and integrations; this meant APIs, authentication logic, knowledge sources, and business actions could be packaged once and then reused across multiple use cases instead of being built for each assistant."
"You can develop anything whatever you want on ServiceNow Now Platform."
"ServiceNow Now Platform is quite useful, scalable, and flexible, and the user interface is very good."
"It is a very stable solution."
"ServiceNow provides immense options for customization and scalability, allowing users to build and modify the platform according to their needs."
"Learning materials, such as online courses, are readily available."
"It is a stable solution...It is a scalable solution."
"ServiceNow Now Platform is very powerful in terms of data management."
"The solution is in Gartner's Magic Quadrant."

Cons

"It could be improved in terms of the global analysis of all the issues caused by the dependency components. For example, if bots are running on virtual machines on Microsoft Windows 2019, sometimes an issue might come from the virtual machine. Automation Anywhere should work closely with Microsoft or any other editor with which there are some issues occurring and stopping the bots from running properly."
"So far, the stability is not good. We are trying to improve this because we are facing a lot of instability issues."
"I feel a lack of convenience when I try to scale it."
"My opinion is that we need to have a video or tutorial on how to implement these features, as well as seeing what results to expect."
"Many of our clients would want to see scalability in pricing, and while I could say cheaper, that's part of it."
"Bots get disconnected from control rooms sometimes without any reason and this takes up a lot of time."
"They should consider being more multi-platform."
"The areas for room for improvement are always going to be around experience, making it even easier to get engaged, and get started. Because lowering that threshold to get started is what enables an additional set of problems to be solved."
"The best things to improve about IBM watsonx Orchestrate are better debugging across multiple agent workflows."
"The user interface could be modernized and made more attractive for users."
"ServiceNow Now Platform's technical support needs to improve."
"ServiceNow is not open source, so there is a license you must pay. Compared to other contenders who give you the cheapest in the market, you will find a huge difference when it comes to ServiceNow and its subscriptions."
"ServiceNow Now Platform wants AI embedded in the product to make it more powerful. Generative AI that will be a part of ServiceNow Now Platform is an area of concern where improvements are required."
"The cost has room for improvement. It is currently expensive."
"If AI were better integrated into ServiceNow, it would lower the RPA costs and make the platform more accessible."
"The initial setup requires a lot of customization based on the individual company's processes."
"It's not quick or cheap."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We have seen the tangible benefits of taking monotonous work off people's plates, creating capacity, and cost reductions."
"I do not know the price, but I am told that it is cheaper than UiPath."
"I've seen the price vary by whether the client is going to scale and adopt a tool."
"Roughly, as of today, it is around $250,000 annually."
"There is an annual license to use the solution."
"Automation Anywhere is thought to be quite expensive, especially for smaller organizations."
"It is fantastic. It has been great. It is perfectly priced for the quality received. When paying for quality, that is exactly what you get."
"The starting price, which is a one-off fee is a bit high and this may deter mid and small-sized companies from acquiring and decide to shun the platform."
Information not available
"Pricing is based on the number of users and user licenses, but the product is 20% to 30% more than the competition."
"I don't have much exposure to the costs attached to the solution. I rate the product's price a six on a scale of one to ten, where one is the lowest price, and ten is the highest price since it is a costly tool."
"It is expensive only."
"ServiceNow is not open source, so there is a license you must pay. As for how much it costs, what I have observed is that it often depends on your subscriptions."
"There are extra expenses for maintaining the product apart from the licenses."
"In my opinion, it is expensive. However, they do offer favorable licensing for charities, for example."
"Most of the features are included in the licensing cost. However, if we need extra plugins that are not available at the ServiceNow Hub or store, then we have to pay extra for those."
"The price of the product falls on the higher side of the spectrum."
