Enhancing enterprise risk management and reporting capabilities with insightful dashboards and automated features.
IBM OpenPages offers strong reporting capabilities with Cognos integration, providing standard tabular reports, various charts, and powerful dashboards for different lines of defense. It caters to the first line managing risks and controls, the second line of SMEs providing oversight, and the independent audit function with an internal audit management module. The solution is more intuitive and task-based, allowing better involvement of the risk function across different lines of defense. The automated features translate into reporting capabilities, and data can be easily extracted and downloaded in different formats.

Streamlined incident management with user-friendly automation tools and responsive support
I use OneTrust specifically for incident management. For my company, I helped to create the incident management program that we currently use, particularly with gathering the information and sending out assessments to different vendors to collect information for further research and discovery.  I…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Everything about IBM OpenPages is valuable, particularly when compared to other solutions in the market like MetricStream, from which we switched due to its feasibility, user-friendliness, and performance."
"The most useful features in IBM OpenPages are the workflow features and front-end, as noted by Ian Francis, an IBM expert lab, with the workflow feature being very flexible, easy to configure, and able to help design every kind of process, while the front-end is very useful, clear, simple, and dynamic."
"The most valuable features are the workflow engine, calculations, and security rules."
"The content, reporting, and workflow features stand out as the most valuable aspects."
"The ability to keep a record of internal incidents in the company, and also the monitoring of Key Indicators."
"IBM OpenPages saves time in my work as a developer."
"IBM OpenPages provides time savings in recording risk management components."
"The platform is especially useful in startup environments where we're typically starting from scratch."
"The simplicity of OneTrust GRC, particularly its user interface, is valuable as it makes it easy to use and not complex."
"OneTrust GRC offers policy management, including documentation, distribution, attestation, and policy management."
"The most valuable feature of the solution is that it already has visibility about all the data protection regulations or other cybersecurity regulations related to several countries"
"Vendors can be assessed and rated out of the tool, and assessments can be scheduled for updates at certain intervals."
"The product helps us streamline audit and incident management processes."
"We receive notifications or cases and prioritize them accordingly, which helps us address issues promptly."
"It does help in the automation of our privacy impact assessments."

Cons

"Some self-relationships are not available in OpenPages' relationship model."
"IBM OpenPages needs improvement in its UI. Currently, it is difficult to see the relationships (associations/parents) between all items unless you click on the item itself."
"IBM OpenPages could improve by adding more conditions to workflows, as some existing conditions might not work and can produce errors."
"IBM needs to work on pricing for organizations with around 100 users, as the licensing model is not competitive enough for SMEs."
"It would be useful to have more out-of-the-box functionality, especially triggers and calculations."
"I believe there's room for improvement in establishing connections with external information."
"The reporting tools in IBM OpenPages have very strong potential because they are linked with Cognos IBM, a business intelligence tool, allowing for very good and complex reports, though creating these reports requires skills in business intelligence to get the most out of IBM OpenPages."
"The platform was not built in a way that allowed multinational entities to use it seamlessly."
"I wish there were more customization options, particularly within the privacy rights automation module."
"There could be enhancements related to AI."
"We encounter difficulties creating multiple platforms or interfaces and manual processes for changing certain settings."
"They could improve by offering free help. A solution, a lot of times, is not just the use of the solution. For example, it is the overall engagement, how well do they support the system, what is their SLA, and how long their response time is to an issue. It would be beneficial if they had some type of professional services where they offer the first five hours of professional services a year for free. That would be a substantial benefit rather than having to buy professional services or professional services packages."
"They could enhance the product's functionalities like audit management and ensure consistency across modules."
"The implementation of OneTrust could have been smoother, particularly in terms of scoping for those outside of governance, risk, and compliance."
"OneTrust GRC's workflows aren't automated and need to be manually driven."
