Users only need to install the VPN and authenticate with their email address
I primarily use remote VPN solutions to connect securely. We have configured both site-to-site VPN and remote VPN, and it is connected to FortiClient Implementing this solution has streamlined time management in our organization. Without SSO, we would need manual configuration for each PC, but…

Offers endpoint protection and data loss prevention functionality
The console is in the cloud, while some of the software runs on on-prem endpoint devices. We use Seqrite Endpoint Security as an antivirus product for its data loss prevention functionality. We configure it to define the types of files that can be attached to emails, and then we receive notifications regarding these actions. Most environments have a sizable number of endpoints. Typically, such environments already have a firewall, providing first-level protection. We have two resources to provide support. I rate the overall product an eight out of ten. It has still not been deployed in large numbers, so I'm unsure if it caters to all security environments. It can reasonably care for smaller setups of around a hundred user clients. For larger numbers of users, it might require a different kind of product.

Cons

"For buying or deploying it with additional features, apart from VPN client, web security, or antivirus, I would like to see the USB key blocking function included in this solution for endpoint security. For endpoint security, you need antivirus and all of the features included in antivirus software these days, web security, and USB key locking feature. If it is implemented in a way that in one package, you have all the primary features needed for security these days, it would be nice. All of those features will probably be additionally charged as it is a web security feature on FortiClient."
"Initially, the support was very poor. It is getting better, but they should continue to improve this."
"More integration would be beneficial."
"The endpoint side of FortiClient needs improvement, specifically the agent-based endpoint, which requires enhancements in detection and additional features to reduce bugs."
"FortiClient is not communicating with the new version of the firewall."
"Sometimes users stay on the old version of FortiClient. When new releases are not compatible, I need to reinstall newer versions, which can be problematic."
"An area of improvement could be better integration with the active directory. I did not find it easy to configure."
"The deployment status is not good in Mac devices and sometimes in Windows-based devices using GPO, like Active Directory, that are not on the local network."
"User management could be improved."
"When we fire any employee connected remotely over the internet, we need a security feature that blocks the system and the device."
"The solution could improve by providing better security and a cloud base version."
"The solution's integration capabilities are moderate and could be improved."
"I would like to see Seqrite add a remote profile so we can implement different policies for users connecting to the in-office LAN and those accessing the office network from home or a public internet connection."
"The cost of the solution can be improved."
"Endpoint Security would be improved by adding DLP."
"The interface is slow."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It is a yearly subscription license. I don't see a problem with the pricing. Resellers add their markup and then give it to us, but I don't see that as a major challenge. It is fine."
"Fortinet requires you to buy a lot of product in order for you to have proper protection."
"Fortinet FortiClient comes free with the purchase of the FortiGate solution. There is a license required for this solution. You later can upgrade from the free version which will allow more endpoints. The cost of the license subscription is based on how many endpoints you require."
"If we pay for the yearly package that includes the FortiGate firewall, then the FortiClient VPN license is included with it."
"The solution's scalability is inexpensive."
"The price of the solution depends on the type of firewall you have from FortiGate. I am satisfied with the price of the solution."
"I don't know it by heart, but it is comparable to other solutions. It is based on the number of clients. It is probably 50 Euros per year per client. It greatly depends on the number of clients you're handling because the more clients you are ordering it for, the cheaper it will be."
"FortiClient is costly."
"The pricing is reasonable."
"Licensing fees are on a yearly basis. Compared to other solutions, this solution is cheaper."
"The licensing fee is 200 Bangladeshi Taka per client per year."
"I give the cost of the solution a seven out of ten."
"You need to pay for a yearly license for Seqrite Endpoint Security, which is expensive."
"The solution's pricing is good for us, where it is neither cheap nor expensive."
"We pay approximately $1,500 for licenses for the solution."
"The solution has reasonable pricing. There is one pricing without any hidden charges. They have to pay once a year or three years."
