The SIEM provides a user-friendly UI experience
When events come into the system, the dashboard categorizes them by the highest risk score, not when they appear on the system. When you've got multiple ongoing incidents you can only see the highest risk score at the top of the list rather than the most recent detection. Exabeam's reporting dashboard could have included a filtering option to filter by the most recent detection.

Offers automation alert features with easy integrations and impressive scalability
I would rate the initial setup an eight out of ten. There are a few technical challenges with the deployment, but it can easily solved by an experienced professional but not by a beginner user of the tool. The complete implementation and migration to McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator will take around three months. If someone is using a software platform already with implemented use cases in their environment, it might be difficult to implement the same use cases when the customer is migrating to McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator. The conditions and prior alert settings needs to be accurate when migrating to McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator, otherwise false positive alerts might get generated.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Exabeam has improved our organization by speeding up the investigation process."
"The way it can connect with AWS is very useful, and the integrations are pretty good."
"The platform is not extremely expensive compared to its direct competitors; I would rate its pricing around six out of ten."
"Exabeam Fusion SIEM has a good performance and more advantages than traditional solutions."
"Timeline based analysis; good platform support"
"The solution's initial setup process is easy."
"It's a very user-friendly product and it's a very comprehensive technology."
"Exabeam includes machine learning features and out-of-the-box rules that we rely on."
"We implemented data transfer protection, which allows transfer in one direction only. Users can copy from the PC to the USB but not from the USB to the PC. That way, if someone is carrying a virus on a USB, it will not be transferred to the PC."
"I really like the auditing component because it really looks at exactly what has happened on the network."
"It is a highly scalable solution. Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten."
"The policy auditing, policy management, and device auditing are all valuable features. Our customers appreciated the ability to get alerts to system-wide events from a single view."
"The central manager policy means we have almost all client modules in one solution."
"From a single dashboard, I can take a look at several things including the endpoint protection, the file integrity section, the data activity monitor, and more."
"The initial setup is very easy."
"Their support is really good. I would rate it a nine out of ten. I have never any issues with their support. They always reply and follow our queries on time."

Cons

"They should provide detailed information about detecting phishing emails."
"We use the on-prem Exabeam product and face limitations using the web UI and administration of custom models and rules."
"The solution's reporting and dashboarding could be improved."
"I believe if it were more flexible it would be a better product."
"The customer service and support are not satisfactory."
"Updating the new release of Exabeam Fusion SIEM takes time and slows our performance."
"They need to focus on more of the MITRE ATT&CK Framework and coverage. They claim they cover about 70 to 80%. I'm not sure if it's really quite that much, however."
"One area that needs improvement is interacting with Exabeam's API. There was a headache regarding the API; the documentation wasn't clear, and the syntax wasn't very precise."
"There needs to be support for Mac computers. Currently, McAfee does not work on iOS."
"The rollout to cover the online resources, such as SharePoint, One Drive, and Office 365 doesn't seem to have a very clear path."
"One thing that I don't like is that McAfee products change very often and upgrade very often."
"There is a problem when it comes to agent communication and duplicate records, where the rebooting of a machine leads to the installation of a new agent and you get a lot of duplicate records that ultimately affect your compliance monitoring."
"As for improvements, I think that putting everything on a cloud and one console would be a great idea and would be useful for customers."
"We need to consolidate multiple features into one console. It would be beneficial to have all the important features on a single platform."
"While there are bugs and a few functionality issues, it is just a matter of raising them with the support team. However, support is part of the problem as well. You want everything to be seamless in a perfect world, but the support is spread across different countries. They have Level 1, 2, and 3. Level 1 is most likely in a developing country. They don't provide the best service."
"It's a little bit complex to configure it, but when you start using it, it is much easier. There are many policies that you need to create, and in three or four places"

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The solution is expensive."
"Exabeam Fusion SIEM's pricing is reasonable."
"Exabeam is not a cheap solution."
"They have a great model for pricing that can be based either on user count or gigabits per day."
"The platform is not extremely expensive compared to its direct competitors; I would rate its pricing around six out of ten."
"There is an annual license required to use Exabeam Fusion SIEM. The price of the solution should be reduced."
"Compared to other Antivirus products, the cost of this solution is a bit high."
"On a scale from one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive, I rate the solution's pricing a three out of ten."
"There is a license required to use this solution. If we use the additional components, such as DLP encryption, there is an additional cost. However, it is similar to a separate product altogether. If you want to use that or not, it is optional, but when you use it, it will cost you additional pricing."
"McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator is a cheaply priced product, meaning it is not expensive since McAfee provides a free version of ePO, which includes phone support as well."
"McAfee tries to package different things into different products, then sell them as different products with different licenses. They just split everything up into multiple things. That's just their sales pitch and how they do it."
"McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator is not an expensive solution."
"For large enterprise companies, the price should be alright, but for small businesses, the uptake might be slow because, for these clients, the price doesn't look very attractive."
"This solution is priced in the mid-range."
