Faced with deployment challenges but benefits from detailed reporting and cost efficiency
CrowdStrike sits at the kernel level and we don't know how it's operating, but we get the message; however, ESET Endpoint Protection Platform sometimes has issues with policies where users complain about popping up notifications. When we were using CrowdStrike, it used to detect and block pirated software, but ESET Endpoint Protection Platform is not doing that. The blocking notification in ESET Endpoint Protection Platform comes in when it is installed from the user; it should not disturb them because we are in a domain environment, and sometimes users are not able to bypass or minimize many things they are facing. Additionally, it is not detecting pirated software, which could be a bug. I trust ESET Endpoint Protection Platform, and they should ensure that software with bugs are not getting through. While it is cheap, ESET Endpoint Protection Platform sometimes makes the computer run slower and takes backup, which affects system performance. If the price is low, ESET Endpoint Protection Platform is saving money, but time-wise, we face problems because when users have issues, we need to spend time rectifying them.

Pros

"The most valuable features for me in ESET Endpoint Security are the antivirus feature and detection."
"The most valuable feature of this solution is the management."
"The most valuable feature is the antispam module, which comes in the bundle."
"The administration is its most valuable feature as I can see all versions in one place."
"It's easy to set up and quick to deploy."
"A feature we like is setting the GUI of ESET Endpoint Security/ESET File Security to silent mode because some servers and clients can have performance issues."
"The tools and the features available with this solution are very competitive. It is always updated to prevent upcoming attacks."
"What is great about ESET is the ERA Web Console through which we can pull various reports, monitor and administer all clients and servers, and the console is easy to use."
"IP tracing is the most valuable feature."

Cons

"There are some complexities if you want to manipulate the software."
"The solution’s console management and scalability should be improved."
"I suspect there will be some changes required to ESET because some experts I know just moved to MDR. I can imagine there might be some issues that were not fully covered by the ESET Endpoint that would be covered by MDR that we're on now."
"They recently released an EDR integration. I hope they have more AI or intelligence filtering on the EDR events. Even though it has already got AI, but it is quite a different thing. So, they still have room to improve on the EDR part. This is one small piece that they need to improve. Otherwise, it is just fine."
"ESET Endpoint Security could improve EDR integration."
"We do get false positives."
"The proactive feature is excellent, but I do not believe ESET will make any changes to this feature in the future."
"They can improve ransomware protection, and there should be cloud sandboxing for Mac."
"The technical support needs improvement."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing is pretty good."
"I rate the product’s pricing a three out of ten. It is neither cheap nor expensive for our clients."
"It is not expensive, but it is also not inexpensive."
"I'd have to look through my records, however, we paid maybe $600 to $1000 for this product."
"The price of ESET Endpoint Antivirus is fair compared to the performance of other solutions."
"You need to pay for the ESET Endpoint Antivirus license monthly or yearly, whichever you choose."
"It's a cost-effective product"

"The solution is overly priced."
