Experienced reduced alert fatigue with streamlined notifications
We use Blackpoint Cyber MDR for our higher-end clients who need a higher level of control over security I appreciate that there are people behind the scenes sorting out valuable alerts from those that are not, so I only get alerts when they are real. This feature ensures that I am notified only…

Security tool provides basic protection but faces challenges in support and feature set
I'm facing challenges because the local support is not up to mark, and its features are not comparable to industry-leading solutions such as CrowdStrike and Trend Micro. Kaspersky needs to improve its local support to become a better product for future releases. The local support is inadequate, and compared to Trend Micro and CrowdStrike, many features are missing in this tool regarding investigation, threat hunting, and threat intelligence. These features are not up to mark in this tool compared to other EDR solutions, and the interface is very unfriendly.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The solution also watches over Microsoft 365 and keeps a copy of logs."
"I appreciate that there are people behind the scenes sorting out valuable alerts from those that are not, so I only get alerts when they are real."
"The solution is all encompassing and can incorporate email monitoring."
"Their SOC is phenomenal in not monitoring and responding and taking action."
"I appreciate that there are people behind the scenes sorting out valuable alerts from those that are not, so I only get alerts when they are real."
"On my end, the most valuable feature of this solution is that I can install it and forget about it. After that, their SOC team takes over and they only call me when there's a problem."
"On a scale from one to ten, I would rate the overall solution as a ten."
"It is a secure solution with a lot of IT management features."
"We have a concept of working from home. Most endpoints are not in the domain. It is our first line of defense. While we had Kaspersky deployed, it gave good insight into the upcoming challenge or threat."
"The most valuable aspect of the product is its consolidated features."
"Kaspersky EDR is far superior to other products. It gives detailed information about malware, geolocation, and more. Also, the agent itself is very lightweight compared to other products. The packages and updates were quite small in size, just a few KBs."
"It is a stable solution...It is a very scalable solution."
"From my point of view, one of the best aspects of Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response is its high detection rate, which surpasses many other solutions. Its valuable features include behavior detection, threat prevention, device control, adaptive anomaly control, and centralized protection detection."
"One of the most valuable aspects of Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions is their ability to detect and respond to spam and viruses in their early stages."
"The product's initial setup phase was easy."

Cons

"The solution does not tie into other EDR products like CyberArk or CrowdStrike but that might be more useful."
"While I am very satisfied with the service, supporting additional platforms, particularly Linux support, would be a beneficial improvement."
"The interface could be more intuitive."
"Some texts seem to report items as normal too quickly."
"While I am very satisfied with the service, supporting additional platforms, particularly Linux support, would be a beneficial improvement."
"The feature we keep asking for is a vulnerability scan."
"The interface could be more intuitive. More transparency is needed in the interface as a lot of details are hidden behind the scenes, making them difficult or impossible to access."
"The main issue was compatibility with the cloud itself. The CPU usage immediately spiked, causing the machines to hang and sometimes even forcing server or computer restarts."
"There is room for improvement in the support."
"Kaspersky EDR could be improved by adding network detection capabilities to enhance convenience and security."
"Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response is expensive. It should improve its stability."
"Kaspersky is not an XDR solution. With an XDR solution, we could gain some more time."
"The solution must provide better security."
"My team was struggling with the reporting when we were doing an audit. The console features are a little more interactive and user-friendly. There's some issue, or maybe some fixing has to be done."
"One of the main areas where the tool could improve is its integration capabilities. For example, I find it challenging to integrate it with other solutions. It would be helpful if the tool could make it more open to integration with other tools."
