Cloud security has improved remote access and has reduced costs for smaller client sites
I have used Cloudflare One's Identity-Aware Proxy, and it is quite straightforward from what I have seen so far. The app registration on the Azure side integrates fully into Cloudflare, and I am very satisfied with that part because it is easy to set up. The integration of Cloudflare One's Secure Web Gateway and Zero Trust Network Access works without any issues. That part is pretty automatic, and if you complete the rest of the setup, it comes together by itself with no issues from my side. What makes it nice is that we can actually start replacing on-site firewalls at this stage for the smaller clients because it does not matter if they go to a coffee shop or work from home; they are still secured by the same connection. The hops get shorter and you get better latency. We have done testing to see if it is better. One thing that we did notice with our proof of concept with our current client is that they have people connecting from the UK. When they used their previous VPN solution, uploading CAD drawings and other files to the server took a long time. They mentioned that it is much quicker on Cloudflare One's solution. I definitely believe that is part of the improved performance, and I am satisfied with that as well. What is nice about Cloudflare One is that it makes the setup easier and also easier to train technicians to maintain it. Compared to legacy systems, we do not need to get fancy firewalls in place that are costly. That is definitely also a cost-saver with Cloudflare One.

Insider threats have been detected faster and internal data exposure is now controlled
Regarding how Mimecast Insider Risk Management and Data Protection can be improved, sometimes the tool is slightly laggy, wherein it would take some time for us to fetch the related logs from the Mimecast portal, and that of course can be improved. There could also be a graph or a kind of a graph where, if the organization has a smaller number of employees, it is fine, but if it has a large number of employees and different departments, then in that case, Mimecast could give us an AI suggestion upon how to improvise the current security posture, how we stand and where we can go up to in terms of implementing or tweaking the policies. As the organization's size gets bigger, it would also be better if Mimecast could provide some solutions upon how to segregate the users into groups and what groups can have which policies. Those kinds of features can be added. Regarding Mimecast Insider Risk Management and Data Protection's AI capabilities, I think its governance and security could improve as I am not entirely sure how it works. It would be helpful if Mimecast could, as the AI capabilities are in place, maintain a strict governance policy upon the data that is being processed, especially for user personally identifiable information. As insider risk management sometimes also gets into the personal details of the user, organizations might be hesitant; even we are also hesitant to use the AI capabilities. If Mimecast could provide more information about how they store the data and whether the agents are local agents or cloud-hosted agents, that would be of great help for the organizations to consider its AI capabilities while adhering to the compliance needs of a particular organization.

"Customer service is fantastic as they are very quick to respond and will help you out with any and every question."
"This was the best ones that I tested; I loved it then and still love it now."
"The alerts provided by Trellix Active Response are its most valuable feature."
"We are hoping to automate detection and response and take advantage of user behavior analytics, given that we are working from home. About half of our workers are still remote, so Active Response gives us that visibility and lets us automate a number of those events."
"With the ADR parts of it or the Active Response parts of it, we're able to get a little more information compared to the older version, such as analytics, user behavior analytics, triaging, and meaningful reporting."
"It's a little lighter compared to the older version, which was mostly signature-based."
"The continuous monitoring component of this solution allows Trellix to launch the MDR solution, which correlates all incidents and provides investigation reports within a short period of time, hence offering an advantage to the customers using Trellix Active Response and its integrated products."
"The solution is scalable."

Cons

"For the topic of improvement, providing some training material is one of my suggestions."
"The onboarding process can be improved a little bit."
"The tool should provide on-premise versions. Currently, all versions are cloud-based."
"Automation could be improved where you can easily add a TLS and SSL certificate to an application or web app if the developer did not include it."
"Operating and tuning the product is difficult."
"Our subscription plan for the solution has a limitation of bot signatures."
"The pricing is an area that can be improved. Pricing, as far as I recall, was the source of our problems."
"There are premium tier live service and lower tier live service, so we opted for the lower tier. But there is no medium tier where we pay a little extra and get a bit more service. So if that can be improved."
"You can't always filter out data that you'd like to."
"The licenses are not so cheap, but are also scalable to your number of customers."
"The login screen for customers could be improved, I find that the white and grey could be hard to read for some customers depending on the brightness of their screens."
"Even with the constant improvements coming quarterly, I would definitely appreciate the night mode in the administrator console to be brought back."
"Our client has chosen Proofpoint over Mimecast Insider Risk Management and Data Protection because they are highly recommended to the Proofpoint solution rather than Mimecast Insider Risk Management and Data Protection."
"Improvement-wise, just because I have other clients who use Abnormal and Material Security, I can say Mimecast Insider Risk Management and Data Protection's dashboard is not that user-appealing, where someone would actually go through their dashboard and figure out metrics."
"I think the UI of Mimecast Insider Risk Management and Data Protection can be more optimized, as it feels slow and laggy at points."
"Hey, Code 42! Isn't it time that we lose the Java dependency??"
"The only area for improvement is regarding operational technology devices, specifically the engineering automation systems."
"The truth, however, is that I was really looking for something much more advanced with user behavior analytics and some AI features that the other competitor's next-gen AV does offer."
"I would rate technical support from Trellix Active Response as a seven because sometimes we face difficulties finding engineers quickly, leading to customer frustration."
"I also expected Active Response 's user interface to be much more analytical."
"While the product is good, we are currently facing support issues."
"There are some components on the cloud that should also reside in the on-prem deployment models but don't."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing of the solution is cheap. The licensing cost is also very low. I rate the cost and pricing a three out of ten."
"The solution is not that expensive."
"My company has to make yearly payments towards the licensing costs attached to the solution. There are no hidden charges apart from the licensing costs of the solution."
"Cloudflare Zero Trust Platform's pricing is good."
"The solution's pricing lacks transparency."
"The price tag is no longer $200,000, but rather $300,000 to $400,000. It's twice."
"The pricing is somewhere in the middle. I would rate the pricing a seven out of ten."
"The prices are slightly expensive."
"The pricing is reasonable. It's my understanding that the cost is about $7 for unlimited storage in the cloud per server."
"They were the best solution and surprisingly enough, the cheapest."
"It used to be a good solution for SOHO in particular as it had unlimited storage for a reasonable price. However, their pricing model has changed and they are now primarily targeting enterprise users."
"It is 100% worth the cost to get and keep the support, especially when setting it up."
"It was expensive. It was more expensive than Eureka, and it was more expensive than Barracuda Backup, but what we got was a full team. They didn't come in and nickel and dime us. They provided the assistance we needed. They didn't say that they need to charge us for something or it is going to take another statement of work. It was all bundled into it... We pay for the software maintenance. It is probably 18% or 20% of the license fee for rev releases."
"Our costs were somewhere around $600K in Trinidad dollars, which might be about $100K US. We have the ETP plus the EDR. Our recent renewal was 1800 licenses as opposed to the full amount. Our transaction cost was about $600K Trinidad dollars, which is somewhere around $90-100K US."
