Advanced protection has secured critical web workloads and provides clear traffic visibility
From a security perspective, there remains a security loophole, as some browsers in the market can bypass the Turnstile solution, which requires approximately 40 seconds to do so. From a performance perspective, this is acceptable. We also tried Google reCAPTCHA, and that can also be bypassed. From a security perspective, I would say neither solution is completely secured. Regarding uptime, we have faced a couple of incidents due to Cloudflare in recent years, so I cannot say we receive 100% uptime for our region. We sometimes face challenges, including downtime and other issues. As a result, we are not receiving 100% uptime from Cloudflare's solution. Since most of our customers are in this region, we need alternatives. We need something more competitive than Cloudflare. Unfortunately, in Bangladesh, Cloudflare has three points of presence already, and we cannot find any other solution provider in Bangladesh as an alternative, which presents another challenge. Competitor solutions have more attack signatures, which ensure better security compared to Cloudflare's predefined configurations. Customers do not have options to modify any configuration parameters in Cloudflare, whereas other competitor solutions, such as F5 Distributed Cloud, allow customers to tune configurations according to their requirements. Cloudflare could improve in this area. Additionally, regarding visibility, Cloudflare has static visibility, but they could adopt dynamic graph features for their customers.

Advanced protection has optimized web and API performance while reducing infrastructure costs
From the features perspective and functionality-wise, there are areas of Radware DDoS that I would like to see improved or enhanced in the future. Version upgrades are being provided, but they should communicate with clients about these new features being available so clients can test them and deploy them on the disaster recovery system before moving to the live segment. There should be a test report that will provide confidence that the version is stable and everything will work properly. Last time we faced an issue with a version upgrade, and we faced extensive troubleshooting with littile bit more time in the troubleshooting process. It turned out to be a small issue that was resolved by the engineering team. I would like to see improved support from Radware DDoS. Sometimes in support, we have to log the call with their support partners rather than Radware. After ten years of experience, we know exactly what the issue is, and we understand that it cannot be handled by their support channel or partner level. Radware team always asks us to go through the partners, but sometimes we have found that the issue cannot be handled by the partners. After the partners fail to resolve the issue, it goes to the Radware team. At that time, one to two days of required timeline gets increased by one to two days. If Radware came into immediate action and resolved the issue rather than relying on their service partners, it would be better. After ten years, we have the knowledge of troubleshooting, and we understand that the issues we are facing with Radware can only be resolved by their team. However, due to their policy, they insist we move through the partner first, and only after the partner fails do they escalate to Radware. During that troubleshooting period of twenty-four to forty-eight hours, we remain in an unresolved state with the reported issue.

Sitelock may perform a useful service, but be wary of giving them your credit card information. When you sign on for the paid service, Sitelock: * Hides (makes it difficult to find) that they default the auto-renew (you can't sign up without agreeing to have them automatically bill your credit card every year). * Hides (makes it difficult to find) how to stop auto-renew: * You can't just stop auto-renew from your billing panel, the way you can with reputable businesses. * You have to hunt their website for a link (in extremely small font) to the page which contains instructions for cancelling. * When you get to that page, turns out it's the 5000+ word "Terms of Service" document, which you have to scour to find a phone number. Then, you have to call and get put on hold (or if you like, they will call you back three days later). Once you finally get through, you have to jump through a lot of security hoops. All of the above, just to cancel the service. Their product may or may not be OK, but be forewarned that with Sitelock, it's not easy to get out once you're in.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most valuable feature of Cloudflare DNS is its global reach and it is always evolving."
"I didn’t have to pay anything for better website security and reduced server load."
"What I like best about Cloudflare is that my company can use it to trace and manage applications and monitor traffic. The solution tells you if there's a spike in traffic. Cloudflare also sends you a link to check your equipment and deployment and track it through peering, so it's a valuable tool."
"CloudFlare provides an answer to a variety of issues, so it gives you very high value for your money."
"For businesses that don't have a dedicated security team, I think it's a better product; it's more intuitive for people like us."
"Generally, I am satisfied with this product."
"I get a lot of value from Cloudflare's API because it enables you to build a separate environment inside the solution. You can create a domain for performing test requests before you move to the production environment and connect various domains."
"We're using dynamic components to build flexible pages to create and manage Git merge requests for code and reviews."
"Radware DDoS has positively impacted my organization by sorting unwanted traffic, specifically malicious traffic targeting the applications, and it has taken the burden off the perimeter firewall during incidents."
"The solution offers a keen, tight service; it's very good at protecting us from DDoS attacks, very good at cleaning our pipeline when support routes traffic through, the product has been stable, the performance is pretty good, and the pricing is reasonable."
"The most valuable feature is the ability to create signatures on-demand."
"The important features include automated protection and defense against many attacks, it's important that our networks are protected in the Radware cloud."
"Radware DDoS has been very good in mitigating advanced DDoS threats, such as burst, DNS attacks, floods, and web scraping, while ensuring that legitimate users are not affected during a DDoS attack."
"As a service provider, we use the SecOps dashboard feature. That's where we check the time of attacks to see if an attack is happening at the moment or if it has already happened... It is very dynamic and helps us know when an attack occurred, how long it lasted, and what type of attack it was."
"The clean traffic is actually the favorite feature that we have, and that is one of the reasons why we went with Radware instead of other solutions."
"I would recommend Radware DDoS Protection Service fully because I have observed improvements in bandwidth speed."
"Not only did SiteLock's website scanner find the issue with my website, but with SiteLock I was able to implement a security system to prevent future breaches."
"It seems to provide a bit of useful information on website health."

Cons

"The pricing could be improved."
"Even if I wanted to, I wouldn't be able to buy Cloudflare in my country."
"Support response time could be improved."
"Cloudflare doesn't have a reverse lookup. We can only do a DNS lookup to get the IP address from the hostname. It doesn't work if you want to look up the hostname from an IPA address."
"Cloudflare should add more documentation and pricing to the cloud version."
"It would be good if Cloudflare could have more servers for better traffic routing or an increase in the traffic routed. This is what I'd like to improve in Cloudflare."
"Technical support is not well developed. While there are good engineers, Cloudflare does not offer hands-on technical support to fix customer problems but rather a self-service model."
"However, what I still fail to understand is that why aren't they offering domains themselves."
"There are no issues on the hardware front, but on the management front, the APSolute Vision needs to be more granular so that it's possible to get real-time information."
"Their Cyber Security Controller portal, including its GUI and dashboard, could be more intuitive so CXOs can easily understand them."
"In terms of the defense devices, I would like to see an improvement within the implementation and upgrade phases."
"Pricing has room for improvement. It is somewhat inconvenient for us because the new features that are introduced are pricey and are just add-ons to the original or baseline license."
"The rise of generative AI and machine learning in cyberattacks demands more advanced defense strategies."
"When the core services and the ERP are exposed to the internet, Radware DDoS has not managed to mitigate any specific attack with major impact that I can recall."
"I had some trouble in the registration account prior to deployment, but it was fixed. They were not very fast or responsive, however. It took about one week to resolve the issue."
"During our last DDoS attack in February, we were setting up the system too strict. After some time, our protection started to kill our traffic."
"Sitelock may perform a useful service, but be wary of giving them your credit card information."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The tool is a premium product, so it is very expensive."
"The product's pricing is cheap."
"The price is reasonable."
"It's a premium model. You can start at zero and work your way up to the enterprise model, which has a very high pricing level."
"The cost primarily depends on the size of the organization."
"The product's pricing is minimal compared to other products."
"The pricing depends on the usage, but the cheapest would be around 5,000 USD a month."
"The solution has many features but there are ones that you need to pay for. Sometimes you have to find out which is available for free and which you have to pay for."
"Licensing of Radware is quite simple and straightforward, while Arbor DDos is a bit complicated."
"The pricing is based on the amount of network traffic and the number of packets being inspected."
"The price was well over six figures."
"The cost for maintenance is cheaper because the majority of the deployments using the solution are in areas where cost of maintenance is also lower."
"It is not expensive. It is medium range. The pricing is good, as we recently renewed our licenses from Radware."
"It is sort of middle-of-the-road for this type of solution."
"The Radware DefensePro was bundled together with our security platform."
"The price varies by use case and there are monthly and annual licensing options. If you deploy on-premise, there is an annual license with the amount dependent on the throughput you need and which features you will be using - i.e. IPS, behavioral, etc."
"You can't just stop auto-renew from your billing panel, the way you can with reputable businesses."
