Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The feature that I like is that it is fast.""The basic virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) feature is most valuable. We were lucky to have it in place when the pandemic hit. It is used very heavily now.""Citrix Workspace allows you to work in a remote environment and gives you data security.""It is a good product. I don't have any complaints.""Citrix Workspace can present desktop applications with ease, in an efficient and secure manner. The performance is good, it is a great piece of software.""Its user-friendliness is most valuable. It was easy to log in and navigate. Some of such solutions are not very user-friendly, but this one was.""The price and user interface are great.""The ease of access and the confidentiality and security that it provides is what we like best."

"The most valuable feature is the security policies.""The most valuable feature is policy-driven control of the devices.""The initial setup is easy and the deployment doesn't take too long.""Remote management is most valuable. It allows you to manage multiple types of devices. It is not just limited to laptops or desktops. You can also manage IoT devices. If a device is lost or stolen, you can easily take control of the device without letting any information get leaked.""The location and remote management services are the most valuable.""Workspace ONE adds a lot of value compared to Microsoft because Microsoft is a late entry into the market, and they're still developing their product from an end-user perspective. Workspace ONE has a slight edge because of AirWatch. VMware has developed its product over a longer period of time, so they have better integrations as a whole solution.""It is like any other mobile solution. It gives us the ability to control remotely, and that is what we like. We can wipe out and deploy remotely.""A very easy to use solution."

Cons
"The lag when using Skype or Screen Sharing with multiple users needs to improve, as it makes it difficult for us to continue when we have to restart the system.""It is slow. When everybody is logged in, it does have a tendency to slow down. You can tell the connectivity slows down a little bit, but it's still a good product.""The initial setup is very complex.""Citrix Workspace can improve by being more secure, but this would apply to any solution not only Citrix Workspace.""I've recently tried to use Citrix on Ubuntu, and I don't know if this is an Ubuntu issue or a vendor issue, but you can't use Citrix right now on Ubuntu 20.04.""The Citrix Workspace interface could improve. Additionally, if they are able to provide a mobile application""This solution is resource-intensive, it takes a lot of Bandwidth and a lot of the resources of the server.""They can simplify the process of printers. Printers were quite a difficult issue. It took us a long time to iron this issue out. We have the most simple use case where people connect from home to either a virtual machine or their physical desktop. We tried more complex solutions like Machine Creation Services, and they were more overhead than they were worth for us. I found them difficult to work with and confusing, and they were not worth the work for us."

More Citrix Workspace Cons →

"There is no Apple zero-day support for updates.""The SaaS environment is not very responsive at times, so the performance can be improved in that regard.""When it comes to deployment and maintaining security, there should be an integrated console where you have a singular view of all of the products from the same OEM.""The reverse proxy is not intuitive and it takes time to get it right, so this is something that can be improved.""There should be better compatibility with Linux devices.""The pricing could always be better.""Integration with Microsoft needs improvement. There are some dependencies with Microsoft that aren't 100% yet, for example: compliance synchronization.""The initial setup is a bit complex."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "We don't have a lot to compare it to, but we certainly think whatever we pay is worthwhile at this point in time. It's very reasonable."
  • "We are just now approaching the end of our initial purchase, which was an excellent price for us as an academic institution. We got a very good deal to get us on board. That license is up for renewal in about a year, and we are nervously waiting to see what the pricing will be."
  • "The licensing of Citrix Workspace is worth it. However, it is expensive. Citrix is probably more competitive now than VMware, but it is still a costly solution."
  • "The price of the solution could be less expensive. There are different versions to their solution and the price keeps increasing."
  • "We are seeing a return on investment with Citrix Workspace."
  • More Citrix Workspace Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "There is a separate cost for technical support and extra premium features. The pricing should be simplified."
  • "The cost is a little bit high."
  • "VMware Workspace ONE is not cheap; it's quite expensive. However, in the end, they gave us a reasonable price."
  • "If you have a host of custom requirements (including licensing), make sure to set aside enough time for the initial setup because it can take up to a few weeks depending on how complex your environment is."
  • "I think that the price is reasonable."
  • "Pricing is an area that could be improved."
  • "Its pricing was okay for our company."

    Reviews from Real Users

Below is some feedback from our PeerSpot users who are currently using the solution:

PeerSpot user Patrick B., Cybersecurity Architect at a tech services company, says, "Its UI is extremely easy to use whether you're an advanced user or a novice user. When I first opened it up and had to learn the product, I was easily a novice. By the end of the third month, I was digging into the backend of the system and using it as a highly advanced user to accomplish what I needed to accomplish, and I was able to do it through the UI mostly."

Roshan T., Partner Manager North America at a tech company, mentions how satisfied he is with the product, saying, "You can put all your applications on a mobile device, be it a phone or tablet. It is secure and easy to use. Because it is centrally managed, you don't have to do any configuration on the phone. I just got the phone and connected to the central applications. I just downloaded one thing and everything got rolled out. Email, calendar, and other things were deployed centrally. If you don't have AirWatch, you have to configure your phone manually. For example, you need to deploy and configure your email manually and then synchronize everything. It is much simpler when a mobile device is centrally managed."
