A simple and lightweight college course automation system with third-party integrations
The initial setup is straightforward and can be completed with the environment within an hour. First, take the latest from the git repository and check the git code to the monitor studio and a bar file, a deployable Bonita archive file. Then, take that process to the Bonita server, running at runtime on another server. Finally, deploy and enable it by selecting the proper organization.

Innovation in diagramming has streamlined complex UML tasks
Visual Paradigm allowed me to create UML diagrams efficiently. The tool was smarter than other tools in terms of remembering the connections between components on the screen. For example, in other drawing programs, if I moved a box, I had to move the arrow, but Visual Paradigm handled those tasks automatically. This made it much quicker than using other tools like Visio or MagicDoor.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"With Bonita BPM, you can run the process (as it will in the final stage) immediately after the design stage, giving you 100% control over the quality of your processes and flows."
"Customer Service: Very good, also the commercial team !Technical Support: Perfect ! and the community is a great help also"
"I think Bizagi is a powerful software or tool for organization, but Bonita is user-friendly and easy-to-use — easier to use for development."
"In general, Bonita is a very good solution."
"We use the on-premises deployment model and the Bonita Community Edition of the solution."
"Bonita is user-friendly, and the features are useful."
"It is more than helpful, it is worth the effort of learning to better our company."
"Flexible and drag-and-drop type of UI is very valuable. The integrations are also very good. You can build workflows very quickly, which is my favorite activity. By using the GUI, you can build the entire mechanism, notifications, and all this kind of stuff."
"One tool for everything which provides all the features you need for an Enterprise Architecture and Solution Architecture."
"What I like best about Visual Paradigm is its simple GUI, especially since I'm a new user, and in my two years of experience with this tool, I didn't find it complex because I was able to learn how to use it via YouTube videos."
"The most valuable feature of the Visual Paradigm that I use is process modeling. Additionally, the solution has a complete set of features."
"Some of the most valuable features of this process modeling tool are process simulation and process animation."
"Using the Component Diagram, Visual Paradigm helps with design and control, reusing components."
"Visual Paradigm allowed me to create UML diagrams efficiently."
"Visual Paradigm is the perfect tool for me, and I prefer it over Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect."
"Visual Paradigm is the best product I've used."

Cons

"The support is mandatory to access all features (Subscription), maybe they can have a different business model."
"We are struggling a bit with integrations."
"The main issue with Bonita is that the workspace crashes sometimes."
"The interface is advanced and quite good, but it could improve."
"I should be able to park the tasks that are within a process in a kind of container, and dynamically, a super admin should be able to connect these processes."
"Installation could be made easier."
"We are struggling a bit with integrations."
"There is a considerable learning curve."
"Visual Paradigm is heavier and has more complexity than one of its competitors, e.g. Lucidchart. It could have been better if it was more simplified."
"I was looking to generate code from the diagrams, but it was not totally clear how to do it."
"The other thing that needs improvement is pricing."
"The solution could be more compatible with other products in the future."
"Visual Paradigm could improve many aspects. The performance could be better because it can be low; when we have large and complicated models, it has a low speed and many bugs, and sometimes the solution stops and you have to restart Microsoft Windows on your PC."
"There are some connectivity issues that crop up rarely when used with SQL Server."
"The solution is not user-friendly. It uses a lot of memory and CPU. You have to have a good computer to use it."
"The speed of redrawing elements and links in complex models - when you need to move part or all of the diagram across the diagram, the tool has a slow response when redrawing objects."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"have installed the image of Bonita BPM on Amazon AWS and there is just one option to use and pay for."
"We are using the Community Version, which can be used free of charge."
"You pay an annual fee and can have an unlimited number of processes and users."
"The Enterprise edition is very expensive."
"Licensing cost for the Enterprise edition comes out to be around 40,000 a year. There is also a Community edition, which is free. Some customers can go for the Community edition, but some of them require the Enterprise edition. Big companies go for the Enterprise edition, which comes with a lot of additional features such as a mobile app."
"The product is not cheaper, not costlier; it is reasonable. Bonita’s license is very flexible, with options to meet the needs of different customers and clients. Previously, it was less flexible, but now, many different licensing options are available."
"I am using the free version of Bonita."
"The product's pricing is acceptable. Pricing is yearly."
"The pricing of Visual Paradigm is very appropriate and affordable. There are no hidden costs involved."
"Over the years I've seen an increase in price, and it makes it difficult for a single person company, like me, to decide whether to extend the license."
"You can move between the tiers from month to month so you are not restricted to one pricing model."
"Visual Paradigm has two models available. One of them is the educational edition, and another is the business edition. For my personal usage, I use the educational version mostly. In a project, my customers have to purchase a license."
"This is an open-sourced solution, it is free to use."
"This product is fairly cheap, but if you want more complex features, e.g. integration with other products, it does require an additional cost."
"Compared to other solutions such as IBM Rational which is expensive, This solution is priced low."
"Visual Paradigm costs $99 per license. I chose the cheapest option from the pricing list."
