Stable but bad technical support, and an out of date database
We primarily use the solution to protect our business The solution protects us so that we have regular security from attacks. It prevents disasters from happening on our system. The endpoint protection is the solution's most valuable feature. The database needs improvement. It needs to be…

Comprehensive defensive features boost daily protection and efficiency
I see a need for improvement especially in policy management and policy customization with Check Point Harmony Endpoint. As a new user, I find it somewhat difficult to customize and apply policies due to the various options available. I would appreciate improvement in fine-tuning those policies and integrating with other tools, such as being able to send logs from Check Point to our SIM or syslog solution. The user interface is good, and I really appreciate it, but improvements are needed in policy customization and integration with third-party products. Additionally, I would prefer to see a mechanism to send agents directly from the console to an endpoint during installation.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The endpoint protection is the solution's most valuable feature."
"The solution has exchange protection. It has a content control, device control, a firewall, and anti-malware as well. They are all quite valuable features for us."
"I like the simplicity of this solution and the fact that it saves us time. The deployment was really straightforward and useful and I am impressed by the anti-virus endpoint detection and response offered by this solution."
"With the prevention blade, Harmony scales higher than many other solutions."
"Data security analytics enable us to prepare and take suitable precautions before landing in trouble and exposing confidential information."
"In my experience with Check Point Harmony Endpoint, the best features it offers are forensics and incident analysis, which have helped us, and among them, anti-phishing is one of the most used features."
"Its ease of use is the most valuable feature. We had existing endpoints and it was an easy upgrade process. The interface board is also easy to use."
"One of the best features that Check Point Harmony Endpoint offers is its ability to stop attacks before they can cause damage in our environment, and it has integrated Threat Emulation, which is sandboxing, and Threat Extraction technology that neutralizes threats embedded in documents or email attachments."
"Few solutions on the market perform tasks as efficiently as those performed and executed by Check Point Harmony Endpoint."
"Check Point Harmony Endpoint protects our company by warning us against clicking any malicious links and prevents our hosts from becoming vulnerable to cyber attacks."
"Information is easily managed and protected (which is particularly useful in lost or stolen endpoints)."

Cons

"The database needs improvement. It needs to be updated quite a bit."
"There needs to be better integration with the environment. Especially, for the active directory and also for keeping up with the changes from Microsoft. We use a lot of Microsoft OS. I have noted that sometimes they lag behind Microsoft updates. For example, when with Windows 10. I had some issues with deploying to Windows 10 because the solution was behind in updating their own services to match the Microsoft release."
"There are blurred lines between anti-virus and endpoint detection so I would say it can be confusing when you are considering buying this program. I would like to see that being explained better to the customer."
"While using Check Point Harmony Endpoint, I find that the initial deployment can be a bit complex, especially for large or distributed environments, requiring proper planning and familiarity with the Check Point ecosystem."
"Sometimes, the Cloud Management Portal can become unresponsive or take a long time to process a query. This in turn will cause the browser to freeze, which will require closing and reopening of your browser."
"A couple of times, we experienced some sales issues."
"The only drawback is the integration process."
"We have observed some policies are not working as expected."
"The solution can be made lightweight in order to keep the systems more effective during the background operations of the scanning and security checks."
"The solution needs more alerts to warn of attacks."
"The management in Check Point Harmony Endpoint could be improved."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"There's a yearly cost for licensing. For us, that comes to $1,400. There are no additional costs beyond the license itself."
"Check Point Harmony Endpoint's pricing is more competitive than any other vendor."
"The price is good."
"The solution is too pricey."
"The solution is reasonable, but there are cheaper solutions out there."
"The licensing cost for Check Point is $3 USD or $4 USD per end-user."
"Licensing comes free in that first year or is included in the base package. From a commercial point of view, it really just is the renewal cost, rather than a one-time fixed cost or buy-in."
"Price-wise, the product is affordable. There are no additional costs apart from the licensing charges that are attached to the product."
"In addition to the standard licensing fees, there is a cost for support."
