Automation has transformed routine operations and now delivers faster, consistent remediation
The best features of Azure Automation are runbook automation, centralized job scheduling, update management, and integration with Azure services and APIs. From a security and operation perspective, we particularly value the ability to automate repetitive administrative tasks, enforce operational consistency, and execute remediation workflows at scale across multiple customer environments. Centralized job scheduling in Azure Automation allows us to run maintenance, patching, and compliance tasks across multiple customer environments from a single platform, reducing manual coordination efforts. Integration with Azure APIs enables us to automate actions such as resource provisioning, security checks, and remediation workflows, which has reduced operational efforts and improved consistency across large-scale deployments. One feature that is often overlooked in Azure Automation is how efficiently it scales across multiple subscriptions and customer environments. For managed service providers, the ability to standardize operational runbooks and reuse automation workflows across different customers delivers significant efficiency, consistency, and governance benefits.

Has helped me create clean and structured process maps with a simple setup experience
I have not explored ways Bizagi can be improved beyond creating maps. If I explore automation and integration with other processes, then I may be able to identify potential areas for improvement. I would appreciate additional features for the free version. Currently, the elements in a process map are limited to activities, decisions, flows, and start/end points. The decision map could be improved to allow more than three options at a decision point.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most valuable part of Azure Automation is that it is a platform providing features that can be custom-used, with very wide functionalities, and the user-friendly nature and available technology can be simply applied to different technologies."
"Azure Automation brings many benefits to my company and my customers' companies because many jobs can be converted automatically through an AI agent to complete tasks."
"The best features of Azure Automation help us automate tasks for the customer and eliminate a significant amount of manual work."
"The most valuable feature of Azure Automation is the scripting."
"We have seen a strong ROI from Azure Automation, as manual operational effort for recurring tasks has been reduced by approximately 50 to 60% and routine remediation and maintenance activities are completed 70 to 80% faster through automation."
"Bizagi reduced our time to market; we developed the solution in a few months, and then we were ready to execute processes."
"The user interface is very good, making it easy for business people to understand."
"Your team can work on it having basic training about databases and BPM modeling."
"I can't think of anything negative to say about it."
"The solution's simulation capabilities are the most valuable aspects."
"The solution offers the best user interface and the easiest way of working for the many co-workers that are drawing and developing and documenting their processes."
"Overall, I like this product and it would be great if it had more features to handle all of my processes and BPM diagrams."
"Bizagi is really great for beginners because it's user-friendly and you can learn in it quickly, whereas other similar software are harder."

Cons

"Sometimes when integrating with third-party tools, we cannot find the proper API and must perform manual work, which requires additional development on our end."
"Deployment with Azure Automation can be challenging at times, though sometimes it is very easy."
"The solution’s user interface could be improved."
"From our experience, Azure Automation could be improved with better debugging and troubleshooting capabilities for complex runbooks, especially in large-scale environments."
"We have migrated to the cloud, but there are a lot of issues while integrating with the cloud. There are a lot of things to improve with the cloud and reporting. We were previously working with on-premise solutions, and we had access to a lot of things, but with the cloud, they changed a lot of functionalities. Some of the things we know, but with some of the things, we are having difficulties."
"Sending emails for a role, import from AD and the creation of areas per profiles are features that need improvement."
"In the feedback site: the servers seem to be running slowly as it takes a long time (30 seconds or more) to post a question by itself, even longer if you have attach images and diagrams, also including a "sticky thread" that contains the most common questions and the most current answers."
"I would like to see the automation process included in the next release."
"Its performance needs to be improved. The main thing is that it is limited, especially in terms of the response times."
"It is difficult to drive ROI on types of processes involving complex business rules."
"The data in Excel that comes out after running the simulation is a bit complicated sometimes to interpret."
"Customer Service: It needs improvement to the speed with which they respond. Technical Support: It needs improvement to the speed with which they respond."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"We use the free version of the solution because the price is in dollars, making it expensive for where we are in Brazil."
"Its price is reasonable."
"When we were working with the on-premises solution, the licenses were a little bit expensive because we had to buy one by one a package of a hundred licenses, whereas now, we are working with the cloud solution, and it has a different cost. It's a different business model because we pay the license for the developers, but the cost is by the environment, and we have unlimited licenses. The business model is different now, but the benefit ratio is good."
"The modeler itself is free. For the whole BPM suite, there are other options that may be better."
"Some solutions are completely free. One would be the business process diagramming tool, the server beneath it, and the automation tool. You don't need to pay to map the business process, but you would need to when you want to execute any of the commands. So, basically, they lure you in with a free ride, and when you want to scale the solution, you'll have to pay for it."
"It is only necessary to pay for licenses when ready to deploy applications to production."
"This is a free solution."
"This solution would be expensive for a company that has a lot of users."
