Enables efficient orchestration of batch processes with very good reliability
I am using Apache Airflow to orchestrate my jobs, projects, and batch ETL jobs. It manages tasks, orchestrates jobs, and helps in handling batch processes effectively, incorporating integrations like DBT and Great Expectations Apache Airflow is easy to scale and its UI improves with each release.…

A reasonably stable BPM solution useful for process governance and process mining
The look and feel, along with the ease of use of the solution's web modeling version, is an area with certain shortcomings. The web modeling part can be a bit complex or difficult for new users of the solution. Simplifying the look and feel to make the web modeling part easy to use can greatly improve iGrafx.

"I would like to see it more friendly for other use cases."
"We cannot run real-time jobs in the solution."
"Technical support is an area that needs improvement."
"We have faced scenarios where Apache Airflow becomes non-responsive, leading to job failures. To resolve such situations, we had to manually reboot Apache Airflow since it doesn't provide an option to restart within the application. This necessitated modifying some configurations to initiate a restart of all Apache Airflow components. Although Apache Airflow is generally dependable, it may occasionally encounter glitches that can disrupt production flows and batches."
"The problem with Apache Airflow is that it is an open-source tool. You have to build it into a Kubernetes container, which is not easy to maintain, and I find it to be very clunky."
"Currently, Apache Airflow is closely coupled, limiting the ability to link to outside channels by ourselves."
"Enhancements become necessary when scaling it up from a few thousand workflows to a more extensive scale of five thousand or ten thousand workflows."
"I would love to see a template and shapes for customer journey mapping."
"The look and feel, along with the ease of use of the solution's web modeling version, is an area with certain shortcomings."

"The solution could benefit from improvements to its interface. More specifically, when compared to other tools, the process modeling features lack symbols or object types that are used to represent the information or data within the process."
"It would be helpful to be able to do more analytics and generate reports on historical documents that have already been uploaded to the server."
"With iGrafx, the implementation and the licensing were pretty complex."
