Has required stronger collaboration features while still supporting complex project workflows
The best features in Airtable include the flexibility and the fact that I could create relational databases. Before I started using Airtable, I was using Excel which didn't offer these capabilities. The ability to create relationships between tables and see through what's working in other departments is great for me. I can do scripting and work on large data sets on Airtable. It makes it easy for me, as working on those data sets on Excel tends to slow me down, but on Airtable, it's much faster. I can integrate Airtable with other platforms; aside from the native integration where I can send notifications to Slack teams and messages to Gmail, I can also connect with Make.com to share data. The interface on Airtable is exceptional. Working for my clients, when a client didn't want access given to all teams, we structured that on the interface and the different teams got different access to different tables. Airtable's rich field types help in organizing complex data for my team. The advanced field types work exceptionally with features such as linking records together. I can link records from other tables and see what's happening, use the lookup field, the roll-up field, and the count field to see what's occurring in other departments and generate insights. Unlike other CRMs, data cannot enter if it's not properly structured. If I want to input an email and it's not valid, it won't allow it because it expects the data to be structured appropriately.

Unified data has created trusted golden records but complex AI matching still needs clearer control
Reltio Cloud has greatly enhanced our data management, and I acknowledge there are areas where our team continues to face challenges. Specifically, the AI-based matching feature operates like a black box, making it difficult to understand why certain records are matched or not matched accurately. If there could be better visual debugging and clarity regarding why records are matched, it would significantly aid our decision-making process. The technical configuration, particularly regarding data models and rule matching, can be overly complex for business users, hence a more user-friendly approach, with simplified guidelines, would be incredibly beneficial. Additionally, data stewardship can present complexities, and clearer actions can facilitate addressing these challenges. Performance issues can arise with larger data models and numerous data sources impacting system use, hence enhancements in optimization and ready-to-use features for complex configurations are essential. Pricing can also be convoluted; therefore, a clearer cost model would aid users in comprehending the structure. While data lineage has its merits, it is complex to interpret; thus, improved visualization would greatly benefit users. Ultimately, technical complexity emerges as the primary challenge we face, revealing opportunities for improvement.

"Airtable does it all with Excel database functionality, spreadsheet capabilities, automation, and visually appealing interfaces, and data insights change in real-time, making it flexible and user-friendly."
"The product helps us track activities, address complaints, and make improvements."
"Airtable stands out for its exceptional user-friendliness, making it accessible to users of all skill levels. Its intuitive navigation ensures a smooth experience, allowing users to easily explore and comprehend its functionalities. Moreover, Airtable offers powerful automation capabilities that enhance efficiency. One particularly advantageous aspect is the seamless linking of databases, enabling the effortless creation of relational databases. Overall, this feature has proven to be immensely valuable and has been the primary focus of my usage."
"Airtable's best feature is that it is very easy to use and very convenient."
"The sorting of the data is the best feature of Airtable. In a Google sheet I have to insert some data and Airtable provides the default option of doing it automatically."
"I am impressed with the product's user interface and integrations. It helps me to ship products very fast."
"The relations and multiple-choice options are the most valuable features. For example, if I have one client but multiple projects in the same client, it's much easier to map it with Airtable than if I use a Google Sheet. The relationship between interfaces is a key feature that I use very often."
"The matching feature of Reltio Cloud is highly effective compared to many other tools available. Additionally, it is almost ready to use out-of-the-box, reducing the implementation time."
"Reltio Cloud has positively impacted my organization by reducing the amount of manual effort needed and making it easy to manage downstream systems."
"Its user interface is different from that of other MDM solutions like Informatica"
"The survivorship feature is great because we can define it, prioritize the sources, and only allow those sources to survive when making the golden record."
"Reltio Cloud offers advantages over competitors, including a dashboard with a good amount of detail that looks significantly better than Informatica or Stibo."
"Reltio Cloud has introduced a single source of truth, a solution to issues caused by teams sharing data via email and losing track of the latest updates, and as a result, up to 97-78% of operations now have a clearer view, allowing us to focus more on enhancing our operations rather than rectifying data discrepancies, thus productivity has surged, leading to significant cost reductions, with my estimate being over a million dollars in savings within the last few months, enabling faster decision-making and real-time data access without the need for manual compilation."
"Reltio Cloud has positively impacted my organization because we were able to promote our data and sell data to our customers."
"It is a scalable product, and the scalability is good. We can configure users."

Cons

"What I would to see improved in Airtable is a chat feature. I really want to see a scenario where collaborators working on a project could easily chat, asking questions and discussing changes immediately on the project."
"The tool has changed the syncing time between the tables which has affected our multiple systems. I would like the product to add more calls per second to the API. It also needs to improve data storage. The tool starts to have problems after having huge amounts of data."
"The interfaces provided by the company have certainly undergone significant improvements since their earlier versions. The growth and progress have been remarkable. I have personally shared numerous feedback points and observed the prompt implementation of changes within a few months, which is highly commendable. However, I must admit that I have encountered several challenges with their interfaces."
"The product's AI feature needs improvement."
"The product is slow when I try to add data to a table using API. There is also a limit on the databases."
"I haven't used it in a while, so I cannot really provide specific areas that need improvement."
"It'd be nice if the record limit of 50,000 record limit per base on pro accounts were substantially higher."
"The template library is huge. I have a few suggestions with respect to that. But to complete automation, I think a bit more documentation around that would be really helpful because there are a lot of features in that which common people explore them less"
"The download process can be quite slow"
"Sometimes, the service goes down for maintenance or when we run a lot of jobs so things get pushed to the queue and results don't get delivered on time."
"The solution's UI could be enhanced, and its record filtering could be expanded."
"Reltio Cloud can be improved by providing the possibility to connect with other connectors and databases such as Snowflake, Databricks, and eventually with Azure Data Factory."
"Ultimately, technical complexity emerges as the primary challenge we face, revealing opportunities for improvement."
"Reltio Cloud could be improved in two specific areas. Firstly, the API capability needs to be enhanced, as when utilizing the REST API and posting a significant amount of data, there are multiple rejections from the MDM side. This can be due to the MDM server not responding or being unable to process the request. Therefore, I suggest that the API capacity should be increased to handle larger amounts of data. Additionally, I have noticed that the response time from the servers can take up to a minute or a few seconds, which can be improved for a faster response time."
"We need manual data modeling and configuration to tailor the platform to our requirements."
"The support team is slow to respond when we need assistance with workflow deployments. We must rely on their availability and contact them to receive the required JAR files."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Airtable's pricing depends on the plan that you're on."
"We are utilizing the free version of the software, which adequately meets most of our requirements. As we explore the higher-end versions, we have noticed that the primary distinctions lie in the number of records and usage limitations. However, the free version offers comprehensive functionality, and the disparity between the free and paid versions is minimal, with only a few minor differences."
"The product would be expensive for customers with only one application or database."
"The tool's pricing is based on the number of users. The product's pricing is okay for personal use. For large organizations, pricing can be a pain. As per the first-rate plan, you need to pay 10 USD per user. The next plan would cost you 20 USD per user. If you are looking for enterprise-type plans, then you need to contact the sales team."
"The product's price is good."
"For basic usage, Airtable is an open-source tool but if you need premium features like script automation, then you need to pay for it. As my clients provide me access after buying the subscription I do not have much knowledge about pricing."
"The solution is not expensive."
"The product is a little bit expensive."
