Protecting sensitive data with in‑house AI has secured our intellectual property and guided safe usage
As I stated earlier, there are negative sides of the product because it literally made my job a little bit harder or a little bit longer because then I cannot use the AI which is already learned from ten thousand or ten million people throughout the globe to give me that understanding and better things. From my own background, if I put that, 'Okay, I am in this particular place, what I can do to resolve it,' I cannot do that because it is not letting me do that. So I am bound to one of the in-house developed and trained AIs. The machine learning aspect of Adaptive Data Security Platform has the potential to be better, and it is doing a little bit more in those areas already because if there is an AI which has already been there in the company, it goes ahead and understands from that part itself. It also goes ahead and understands certain number of other aspects from the people who are already using the AI on towards the public AI as well because it goes ahead and checks that this is something which is the context and it is going ahead and stopping the people or making them understand that whatever they are doing is not correct or something along those lines. Adaptive Data Security Platform is already having the potential of learning while being in use.

Improved user experience with seamless integration and easy installation
The feature that I mostly valued is the ease of installation on different systems, especially on Windows. Additionally, it is very beneficial for deploying single sign-on sessions between different windows on a web browser, provided I am connected to the right identity provider. That seamless integration significantly improves user experience and efficiency.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The best features Adaptive Data Security Platform offers include real-time monitoring and AI-driven capabilities, which stand out."
"Adaptive Data Security Platform has positively impacted my organization by ensuring our data security and preventing unauthorized access to our infrastructure, while ensuring our data availability and security."
"Adaptive Data Security Platform is a great tool to let the user use an in-house developed AI which runs on their own servers rather than cloud servers."
"It's more efficient; we're providing immense security to the applications, to Chase, and we're securing 70 million customers in Chase."
"We almost never have outages nor see slowdowns."
"It’s definitely an industry leader in the web access realm."
"A valuable feature of Siteminder is the way it handles bulk traffic. The features it has, in terms of routing the traffic and load balancing, are good."
"This solution is meeting our requirements for all of our applications."
"Right now, federation that comes out-of-the-box with single sign-on is the most valuable feature that we have, and also scalability."
"Its flexibility and ease-of-use are the most valuable features."
"It has the ability to authenticate and authorize users. It is the main feature for our security."

Cons

"A return on investment has not yet been seen with Adaptive Data Security Platform because it is unclear if it will even be used; it is still a very early phase."
"As I stated earlier, there are negative sides of the product because it literally made my job a little bit harder or a little bit longer because then I cannot use the AI which is already learned from ten thousand or ten million people throughout the globe to give me that understanding and better things."
"Sometimes technical support is slow to respond, and that’s typical."
"The technical support team is not very proactive."
"CA has reporting at the moment. With the reporting, every particular segmented product has a reporting engine. I would like to see centralized reporting for all of them together."
"It may be a good product, but I'd advise staying away from customizing it."
"They need to make configurations easier, and not have the engineer having to guess what will happen when he changes a particular setting."
"Symantec SiteMinder is not easy to set up and maintain at an infrastructure level."
"We go by agents for authentication; anything relating to agent configuration could be improved, or even agentless security."
"There is a considerable improvement in the product from previous versions, but a few items we feel need a little attention are the web agent installation process and steps – as it behaves differently on the same OS."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"The solution's pricing is competitive."
"Symantec Siteminder is expensive; they could definitely do better on the price."
"CA solutions are generally expensive but for the customer the ROI is big."
"The price is quite comparable to the other enterprise-level solutions in that market."
"The pricing is reasonable."
"The licensing is fair for this solution."
"Siteminder is a little costly. You pay for licensing, and they offer packages, so if you have less users, then you have to buy different products at different prices. If you have more of a user base, then the package is different. They also include other features—for example, if you have a database and you're using Siteminder, then it's good to use a Semantic-specific database, but if you are using less, then you have to purchase the database separately. Whereas if you are going for a bigger license, then it comes within the package. It depends on which plan you are using."
"I recommend conducting a PoC on every available product before choose one."
