Reliable image backups have protected our HMIs and simplified on‑premises recovery
We have not tried the vulnerability assessment feature yet because we have a different set of protocols for our cybersecurity. We conduct audits and plug the gaps as part of our security approach. We are not using AI with the anti-malware from Acronis; we are using it only for backup and recovery. On the backup and restoration side with Acronis Backup, some on-premises AI features which can detect anomalies may be something which would improve the product significantly. Otherwise, we are not very comfortable with cloud-based solutions at this time. We are looking for products which are entirely on-premises, so they remain within our control.

Seamlessly integrated backup solution with clear UI and affordable pricing
We wanted a backup on an external provider of our old code repository and we chose this solution Thanks to the solution, we have more control for ISO 27001, which is equivalent to SOC 2 in America. It is required for all security compliance. The seamless integration, the clear and easy-to-use…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It is a very fast and reliable backup, which requires less management and restores quickly."
"The solution is very user-friendly in terms of the interface - especially if you compare it to other solutions such as Veeam or Veritas."
"Acronis is a highly effective product; it's easy to use and manage."
"The AI-based antimalware feature in Acronis Cyber Protect is very effective in preventing cyber threats, providing inception into threats and how to react with them before securing, and is a great asset as a feature."
"The most valuable features of Acronis Backup are cloning and many other capabilities. For example, you are able to clone the whole operating system and drive. Additionally, the solution is a complete package."
"Try all of the solutions in the market; you will see for yourself that Acronis is the easiest to use and stable, and it has never failed on me."
"Image based backup, restore Windows based images quickly and on different hardware."
"The NASDAQ level CFS level backup is the feature I find most beneficial for our data protection strategy."
"The seamless integration, the clear and easy-to-use UI, and the pricing, which is fairly cheap, are all valuable aspects of the product."

Cons

"The software requires a number of network ports to be open between the management machine and the clients and backup devices."
"The solution could be better if some of the features were more in-depth."
"It would be better if they made it easier to obtain images for laptops and desktops. It isn't easy right now to have many different types of desktop computers. This is because Microsoft is changing a lot of things in Windows 10."
"Acronis Backup can improve the latency when the file size is larger, we have had issues. Additionally, they could allow more flexibility when searching for information and I cannot download the CBIS backup copy information which could be made easier."
"It seems like I haven't had any issues since I added the RAM to the Management Server, but it does seem to start being sluggish because I have it running on a Windows 7 machine."
"MS Exchange and SQL backups are a little slow and odd to setup."
"Acronis support is pathetic. It takes five days to open the case."
"This is not a feature-rich solution."
"They force you to use the web UI or SaaS platform to restore the backup."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"If the solution was less expensive it would be better."
"I would rate the solution’s pricing an eight out of ten. The tool’s subscription is yearly."
"Acronis Backup is cheaper. If you install it on a hypervisor, you only pay for a single license. It would be for the backup server, and everything else will be covered by it. In that sense, it becomes a much cheaper option. However, if you have virtual machines, then it can be more expensive. Also, if you have a lot of physical machines the cost can be higher because each entity will need a separate license. There is a monthly license cost."
"The current subscription model of Acronis Backup compared to other backup solutions is not costly."
"I would describe the product as a mid-priced tool for small and medium businesses."
"Our licenses come with a one-time yearly subscription fee."
"It is a low-cost solution."
"The pricing is reasonable. However, it depends on the storage that you use. It would be great to have a package that we can use up to a certain size of the backup, this would allow us to know what the price is going to be up to that capacity."
