Effective data loss prevention and good for small and medium enterprises
We are almost ready to acquire ManageEngine Endpoint DLP Plus. We have a lot of tools. We currently use Acronis Cyber Protect and are looking at zero trust file transfer tools. We have hands-on experience with some tools and are continuously upgrading our infrastructure and security tools. We started with Acronis. I think we had McAfee before I joined, and then we switched to Acronis. We are okay with it. Price and features were the main reason you decided to go with Acronis. It is good value for the money.

Reliable high availability with seamless synchronization
If customers say, 'I want the server to be running 27/7/365 without any fail,' then we say this is your high availability option, not the backup. I am clear on that. If you are looking for backup, I suggest other product lines that take folder backups. I use another backup solution with that one, so you have this option. The main concern with other product lines is DC change, meaning it goes to the first head office failover server, then to the remote failover server. If the head office failover server fails, the Doctor server will not have an update. That is the area of concern, as more than eighty percent of the product lines do head AC chaining. I used to ask for direct synchronization. That is where Carbonite plays a role, allowing direct synchronization or replication to one or multiple Doctor sites. I rate the overall product an eight out of ten.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Technical support is great."
"The user interface is the most valuable feature for me because I can manage backups and teams in one console."
"I do not need to touch my firewall, especially when it is managed by the provider and takes ages to do a single NAT."
"The most valuable features are its ease of use, the speed, and its got a reasonable amount of granular control."
"It is a scalable solution."
"The most valuable feature of Acronis Backup Cloud is the ease of management."
"I have found many of the backup options valuable such as logging the event backup and the ability to run an analysis of the backup before you start for problems."
"A valuable feature is the user-friendly control management. I appreciate the integrated service, where just one agent and one virtual management are needed to handle everything. The solution is highly stable. I rate it a nine out of ten. The support has been consistently excellent. The initial setup is straightforward."
"Carbonite offers direct synchronization and replication to one or more off-site locations."
"Carbonite permits a quick failover to a backup server."

Cons

"I think the pricing part of the solution is very complicated, making it an area of concern where improvements are required."
"There could be some changes done to the action page to simplify it."
"I would rate the product an eight out of ten. The tool needs to have better protection. The tool should be also able to take backups while users are offline and upload to the cloud whenever the internet connection is restored or if there is a good bandwidth."
"I would like to see more integration with SIEM solutions."
"The solution should increase its security features."
"It will be good if Acronis can provide more documentation and videos describing how to do different things. Their documentation is good, but it is without examples. They don't have lots of videos. They should put more videos on YouTube to show how to set up certain things, how to restore, and how to back up. They should provide step-by-step documentation and videos for specific scenarios. I would like them to improve the command line feature. The command line is not working smoothly, and there is some problem with it. If the command line is improved, it will take the product to the next level. It would be great if it can back up data from storage so that people are able to back up old data. Such a feature will make it an enterprise solution for a full backup."
"We'd like to see more DLP, data loss prevention."
"The solution is expensive."
"For more granular restores, Carbonite is not the right product, as it only allows for full-server failovers."
"The reverse failover process takes a long time, especially with physical servers, often requiring 48 hours without any surprises."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The product is not expensive. It's in the middle. For its capabilities, it's on the affordable side."
"It's relatively cheap, but you see the benefits more at a higher volume."
"I would rate the pricing of Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud as five out of ten"
"Its cost depends on storage size and number of endpoints."
"Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud is an expensive solution."
"Acronis offers a 30-day free trial of the product."
"I am not the one who is paying for it, but based on what I know, it is not very expensive. It has a good price."
"We pay for whatever we use, and they bill us accordingly."
