The product pricing tends to be higher than alternatives like Canvas, making Blackboard more suitable for larger universities with substantial budgets.
The solution is a bit expensive. However, I wasn't on the budgeting side of the business and can't speak to exact costs. On a scale from one to five, with five being the most expensive, I'd rate the solution at a six. Once they were bought out by the big company, you couldn't afford them anymore.

At the beginning, you can choose a basic plan. As your users grow you can buy a more expensive license.
