The system helps ITs and techs by storing all the things that users do to be able to look at their actions and make a decision as to if it's okay to do or not. It helps ensure that users don't break the system.
This solution allows me to have an agent event though it's agentless. I use the proxy approach. Some solutions are divided into proxy or agent-based. This solution is agentless, it's by proxy. I'm able to use something like an agent that is encapsulated into this version. It's similar to allowing for hybrid technology. There's no agent, but something like an agent can be launched from the surface.
The newest model can do great things. It can hide passwords, for example. The Password Manager also allows for password retrieval for encrypted passwords. Even if the Password Manager goes down, with a Jiffy Key, a person can retrieve all of their passwords and have them sent to their email.
There is also an Access Manager, which no other solution offers. Each web console can gain access through several PAMs. They need to just open the web browser and everything they need is the browser. They do their work right in the browser window.
The interface is very simple. It doesn't need any plug-ins, just browsers that are installed at the beginning.
The product doesn't have behavior analytics. They promised to develop this, but only for the cloud, not for on-premise versions.
I want the solution to offer two-factor authentication for Windows Active Directory. They lack this functionality.
I've been using the solution for a number of years.
Scalability is possible only by choosing other product packages. It is scalable; you just need to install the right package. We have about ten users on the solution currently. At this time, we don't plan to increase usage.
Technical support is very good. They have their own ticket system that is available for all customers and their system is already in different languages. For example, English, French, and, for us, Russian.
The initial setup was straightforward. It only took ten minutes.
For the initial setup it was just a matter of getting inside of the web consoles, and to start working directly.
I'm an integrator; I'm able to implement the solution myself.
You can buy a special license with yearly support if you want to upgrade. You can also have subscriptions that renew on a yearly basis.
We did look at other options, mostly by checking reviews. The decision to go with Wallix was made at the customer level.
We use the on-premises deployment model.
I would warn others that are implementing the solution that they should never upgrade Wallix through their interface. It will crash.
I would rate the solution nine out of ten.
