The user interface is the best part of the tool

What is our primary use case?

  • Developed a project for invoice issuance in SAP: Using UiPath, we could finish the project very fast.
  • Save costs from my company and for our clients.

How has it helped my organization?

  • Using UiPath, we could engage with a lot of new clients, because we showed them how powerful UiPath is.
  • We finished projects more faster using UiPath.

What is most valuable?

  • The user interface of UiPath is the best part of the tool. It is easy to learn how to use.
  • Another feature is the orchestrator which helps to organize all the robots in one place.

What needs improvement?

  • The UiPath could improve in the AI part so that we could build more powerful robots.
  • It will be helpful if we could have a diff for better version control.

Has a drag and drop feature to build the application

What is our primary use case?

We run many batch jobs manually to accomplish our business processes, which is very cumbersome and prone to human errors. One wrong job run may take many hours to fix the data, which sometimes causes chaos. Due to automation, it is easy to resolve our manual batch job run.

How has it helped my organization?

When batch jobs run, at that time, systems are locked and users are out. Once it is completed, only then do we allow users to log in to the system. Many times, operators run wrong jobs which creates chaos and exceeds the SLAs. After the automation, I believe these issues can be resolved.

What is most valuable?

  • Drag and drop feature to build the application
  • Keyword-based search and accordingly it just inherits its properties.

What needs improvement?

In the next release, I believe it should include cross-platform features. Like if our product is developed on Linux, then it should be capable of running shell scripts.

For how long have I used the solution?

Still implementing.

What needs improvement?

UiPath Go! which is actually a growing store for RPA developers should be more popular and should have good acceptance rate for normal projects rather than industry based projects only.

For how long have I used the solution?

One to three years.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I have not used any RPA tool earlier. It is my first time that I have used RPA.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I use the community edition which is actually a freeware version.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I researched about Blue Prism and Automation Anywhere, but the community was not as large as UiPath.

What other advice do I have?

It is one of the best tools which any RPA developer can use currently.

Lots of training and learning material are available, including an online academy

What is our primary use case?

UiPath has been working great for us in automating processes where data needs to be manually fed into one application and the result transposed to another one.

How has it helped my organization?

Data entry and data transfer between applications is a slow and error-prone process when done manually. RPA is a great solution to this problem. We're using attended automation for this, but productivity has increased by a factor of 10.

What is most valuable?

  • Ease of use
  • Lots of training and learning material available, including an online academy
  • Quick learning curve for developers, with great templates
  • Wide application support (both native and web-based)
  • Frequent delivery of new features and bug fixes
  • Great pricing when considering the productivity gains.

What needs improvement?

Developers complained about UiPath becoming slow when developing complex processes. This only happens when developing, not when running the automation, so we solved this by boosting developers laptops with more RAM.

For how long have I used the solution?

One to three years.

Easy to use and has saved time for the employees that are using attended robots

What is our primary use case?

We are using this solution to implement automations for the banking domain, in the back office as well as the front office.

How has it helped my organization?

UiPath's complete package (Studio, Robot, and Orchestrator plus Kibana) improved our organization by saving time for the employees that are using attended robots and helping the organization implement other activities with the use of the unattended robots.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable features that the UiPath package has are the ease of use and implementation of both Studio and Robot.

What needs improvement?

I would like to see periodic updates to activities and maybe new packages of activities. I also like the mobile Orchestrator, but I think it should be made in such a way that the user can create/update robots, processes, and queues.

For how long have I used the solution?

Less than one year.

Allows developers to efficiently grab data from any window or software

What is our primary use case?

Primary use is to automate BPO solutions for clients. We use it to automate a vast range of processes given to us.

How has it helped my organization?

UiPath has given us the ability to automate certain processes. The ease of use makes the lives of developers a lot easier, especially with the use of screen scraping tools for data. Looking forward to seeing new features added over time. Bright future for RPA on the UiPath platform!

What is most valuable?

  • Inbuilt workbook features and data scraping.
  • Allows developers to efficiently grab data from any window or software.

What needs improvement?

  • Third-party version control is very important and needed.
  • Better support for invoking code could also be used to enhance development.
  • Cannot go wrong with adding inbuilt data analytics.

For how long have I used the solution?

Less than one year.

The most important feature is that it is independent of programming languages and can be written with a basic algorithm

What is our primary use case?

I was giving software training in a company. And in this company, there was a time-wasting chore. At the end of the training, we took note of the students who did not come in the polls, and we were recording the polls on the institution's website. Unit supervisors wanted to be notified of the students who were absent three times in a row. This process is constantly checked and repeated because of the automation that I've done with this chore.

How has it helped my organization?

UiPath increased the value added by the company. The reason for this was that the repetitive processes were carried out automatically with UiPath robots. Especially in the field of software, the same processes can be repeated severally. These situations prevented employees from developing as they lost time and prevented them from adding more value. Apart from this, a newly developed platform has prevented some experts from using these programs today.

What is most valuable?

The most important feature of UiPath is that it is independent of programming languages and can be written with a basic algorithm. Moreover, the new library can be added, and new activities can be added to those who know new programming. This allows the program to be developed and supported.

What needs improvement?

UiPath comes with an infrastructure suitable for development. It may be a disadvantage that the simple coding sections in the studio environment are with Visual Basic. Nowadays one of the most widely used languages can be supported with C#. Furthermore, it is possible for robots to interpret the information obtained from repetitive operations by machine learning. This is a situation I believe should be directed to the field of artificial intelligence.

Good source for automation and RPA
Pros and Cons
  • "I find the most valuable features are automation and RPA."
  • "This solution needs improvement, especially in terms of continuing the process that is left in case of any kind of disaster that happens to the trimmers. If there is a state that can be maintained to removing the machines to another location and continue from there, it would be helpful. Right now, this is lacking."

The implementation is simple.

What other advice do I have?

It is a good product. I think if it could stream, rather than being stateless, it would be appreciated.
