What is our primary use case?
We provide virtual workspaces for small to medium-sized organizations. Because we don't have many service desk employees (and we don't like to do support ;) ), we use HelloID to automate every repetitive task we can imagine. Also, we use HelloID as our SSO solution.
How has it helped my organization?
By giving users the ability to fully manage their own workspace, while still being able to monitor and administer such actions, we can focus on new-business and projects as we like. By adding all of your SaaS apps to HelloID, users just have to remember a single password. Not only that, but we can see valuable metrics of application usage, which is cost-reducing for us (license management based on the number of concurrent users, etc).
What is most valuable?
The most valuable features of this solution include the Service Automation with unlimited possibilities such as dynamic forms, approval workflows, extensive roles, and especially little things like being able to transfer your responsibilities to go on holiday without worries.
The Single Sign-On capabilities are endless and we haven't found a single app so far that couldn't be set up for SSO.
What needs improvement?
I would like to have the built-in provisioning module improved. I’ve seen demos in the past of HR systems like AFAS and Raet being connected to HelloID, and perfectly mapped and translated to customizable objects in HelloID. This functionality can be used for numerous solutions. I know that it is on the roadmap, but I would like to see it as soon as possible, in the next release.
For how long have I used the solution?
We have been using this solution for approximately two years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
We have had no downtime yet. So the stability is perfect.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Scalability is easy. The solution is hosted by Tools4ever and you can install as many agents in your environment as you like (for free(!))
How are customer service and support?
Technical support is fast and reliable when we need them, but we stopped needing them after the first few weeks.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
Before this solution, we used RES Ivanti. We switched mainly because of the price and the future expectations (Ivanti took over RES and it got messy from there on).
How was the initial setup?
The HelloID setup is extremely easy and fast, which is something I didn't like from other solutions like RES. Its ease comes because it is a service. Just install an agent and it works.
What about the implementation team?
We implemented this solution ourselves. When we needed support, Tools4ever was more than willing to help.
What was our ROI?
Since we built all of the services and applications ourselves, we have had very little starting costs. I would say approximately two to three months.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
I think the pricing is something personal, so that is fully dependent on your budget. Since HelloID is very reasonably priced, the return-on-investment is fast.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
We have evaluated Okta, ServiceNow and Azure. Ultimately, HelloID came out on top for us.
What other advice do I have?
I would recommend following them for the demos and webinars. There is a lot of cool stuff and features which you might not have known about.
At this moment, we do not have any wishes. We have submitted a lot of feature requests in the past, but since there is a release every month, all our FRs and nice-to-haves have been implemented.
My advice would be to at least use this solution for service automation and access management because that's something you won't regret.
Overall, I would recommend HelloID for its ease of use and fair pricing.
