What is our primary use case?
I am using GravityZone Business Security as an endpoint antivirus and EDR solution. It collects all the scan reports for all endpoints, including servers and endpoint PCs. It pushes signature updates whenever they are available, which are then disseminated from the repository. This solution is very light on PCs and provides protection without facing any critical issues.
What is most valuable?
The most valuable features of GravityZone Business Security are its anti-malware and anti-virus capabilities. The firewall policies are considered very powerful, and it prevents many malicious issues. The solution has its own definitions for viruses or malware, providing timely detection updates. Additionally, their technical support is very effective, with knowledgeable engineers handling cases efficiently.
What needs improvement?
There are instances where it blocks local-made programs due to false positives, but these issues are resolved promptly. While customization and enhancement of configurations based on specific environments can be developed further, issues related to the execution of older EXE files are rare.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been working with GravityZone Business Security for almost seven years.
What was my experience with deployment of the solution?
During the initial setup, there was a need to ensure compatibility with server hardware, especially because we use VMware. Otherwise, the setup process was straightforward and took about one week to settle into our environment with approximately 3,000 PCs and servers.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
The solution is highly stable and rated at ten out of ten. It provides strong protection against attackers, viruses, and malware, which alleviates many potential headaches.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
GravityZone Business Security is very scalable, and I rate it ten out of ten. We've had many new employees recently and have been able to smoothly integrate additional devices and licenses without the need for additional servers.
How are customer service and support?
GravityZone's technical support is exemplary. Cases are primarily handled by engineering-level personnel, and if complications arise, developers are involved. Updates are professional services, and their involvement ensures that issues are resolved effectively.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
Several years ago, we used Symantec, which was overly aggressive, blocking many applications and using resources inefficiently. We switched to GravityZone Business Security because it provided smoother scalability and was far easier to set up. Symantec's excessive sensitivity was detrimental to our work environment.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup was relatively easy, rated nine out of ten in terms of ease. It involved installing from an ISO, integrating with our active directory, and applying specific policies to different layers. Device distribution was based on network parameters like IPs and VLANs.
What about the implementation team?
The initial deployment involved three people: one from our infrastructure team, one from the security and network department, and one from the vendor.
What was our ROI?
After implementing GravityZone Business Security, our environment has remained largely protected against spyware, viruses, and malware. We have achieved a protection rate of about ninety-eight percent, showing significant return in terms of security and safety.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
GravityZone Business Security is one of the cheapest solutions among competitors, costing us approximately $80,000 per three years. This has proven to be a cost-effective investment for our organization.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
Before choosing Bitdefender, we used McAfee. We did not evaluate other options at the time of switching to Bitdefender, but we had previously used a POC for it and found it smooth and scalable.
What other advice do I have?
GravityZone Business Security is highly effective. As the main gate for all potential problems like attacks or malicious software, endpoint devices must be well-protected. GravityZone Business Security does an excellent job. I rated it ten out of ten overall.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
On-premises
