We primarily use the solution for security assessments for the ICT landscape with a distiller company in Stellenbosch, South Africa.
What is our primary use case?
What is most valuable?
The core scanning, the scanning process, has got a very nice pass management module. It's fantastic. The last time we did it, the customer was trying to make the SAP system match the GDPR process. We were able to use it for that benchmark. It was very important. The GDPR assessment template that is being used in the process application benchmark and analyzing landscape came in very handy. It was very useful because it also gave notifications.
What needs improvement?
The solution is generally good, but it's not seamless. It could use additional features. For what we needed it was fantastic, however, a few sections need work.
The anomaly detection could be improved.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
The stability of the solution is good.
How are customer service and technical support?
Technical support is very fast when responding to emails. I'm not sure if we have ever spoken to them on the phone or just communicate via email. We've been satisfied with their level of service. The process is very straightforward and they are very helpful.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
We previously used an open-source solution, but this current product is more commercial.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup was straightforward. It was on a virtualized machine called Ubuntu. It was specialized and we deployed it and it was able to pick up the GDPS and ran our project well.
What about the implementation team?
We used a consulting firm that assisted us in the implementation.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The solution charges based on the number of SSIDs in your landscape, so how much it costs depends on that.
What other advice do I have?
I've been using the solution since 2016. We use the on-premises deployment model.
I highly recommend the solution. It's perfect from a commercial perspective.
I'd rate it nine out of ten.
