It's easy to use and restore. Tech support is also good.
Easy to use and restore. Restoring when there is issue. Backup bigger virtual machines (VMs). Six years. No. Some big servers don't seem to backup well. Good. Straightforward. It's easy to use.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The flexibility is very good."
"The most important part of any organization is the data, and when you do a backup, you want the data to be available whenever it is required, and Veritas offers a more predictable backup and recovery process."
"This is a very flexible product, which allows you to back up not only the physical environment but also the cloud environment."
"This is a solution that keeps evolving with technology."
"The platform has significantly improved our backup and recovery processes by efficiently managing data protection and supporting tape drives. It has also provided reliable data recovery solutions."
"We've used the solution for ten years, and everything has worked very well."
"The solution is very scalable. Whenever we grew, it was just a matter of adding new licenses, so it's easy to grow."
"The price is reasonable for the features it offers."
"Easy to use and restore."

Cons

"It doesn't support the AIX platform."
"I would like to improve their ability to back up the cloud environment. Additionally, it would be nice to have simpler UI."
"It's not so scalable. If you need flexibility and scalability, you probably need different products."
"Initial setup is a bit complex and needs some expertise for troubleshooting when something goes wrong."
"There are some products that include disaster recovery which Veritas is lacking for now."
"The solution can be improved by adding the ability to restore individual mailboxes. Currently, the solution does not have the capability to restore a single mailbox, so you lose a lot of time having to restore for example ten mailboxes just to recover one."
"The price of this solution is very high."
"In terms of improvements, I think the pricing model could be improved. They charge you by port, for every port that you have even if you're not using all of them."
"Some big servers don't seem to backup well."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The product is affordable."
"The product's price is reasonable."
"I would like to see a better licensing model. They changed it and it's just horrendous."
"I rate the product's pricing a six out of ten."
"Pricing is similar, but they don´t offer the same options/technology."
"The price of Veritas Backup Exec could be reduced and we pay annually for the license. However, compared to other solutions, such as Veeam, it is less expensive."
"Its price is a bit high. There is only the standard fee. There is no additional fee."
"The pricing is reasonable."
