Low-code platform needs knowledge of coding and best practices to make it work best.
This is not a stable solution. When work has been done on screen A, for example, this has lead to a downfall in screen B. This has occurred even when there appears to be connection between the two. This is mostly happening because developers are not using of are not aware of best practices within platforms. It's like Excel. I can make a lot in Excel, but if my calculations are wrong, it's me that is in the fault, not Excel.

User experience metadata and workflow customization have been streamlined
The creator needs improvement; for instance, if I create a widget that has dynamic data, it cannot get published. When we publish a page that contains a widget, dynamic data does not appear. That is the problem with Zoho Creator, so it needs improvement. The portal user aspect is also costly; for example, purchasing 250 portal users can be expensive for clients who require them monthly. It creates a financial burden similar to how customer logins on e-commerce websites such as Flipkart or Amazon are generally free. Thus, Zoho Creator needs to offer free access for all portal users as they are essential for the application's usage. In Zoho Creator, we cannot work on UI customization as expected; if I want an application resembling a Figma design, there are limitations on UI changes.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"We use this solution as a customer portal for teachers so they can plan exams for their students. Exams will also be created in the portal in future."
"Zoho Creator offers cost-effective, enterprise-grade solutions at simple pricing, unlike competitors such as Salesforce or HubSpot, which can be significantly more expensive for similar functionalities."
"It is very easy to build applications on the product."
"Zoho Creator provides complex flexibility, allows creation of multiple modules and fields that are easily accessible, enables dynamic and stateless forms, and offers robust automation with Deluge script, workflows, and analytics tools like custom reports, dashboards, KPIs, and widgets."
"Zoho Creator is a powerful application where we can accomplish numerous tasks with experience and knowledge."
"Zoho Creator is fully scalable in my experience; I've worked with a client that started with 10 employees and simple processes, and they currently have over 500 employees in three different countries."
"Can access information from other Zoho packages and you can write custom scripts."
"Zoho Creator provides a quick turnaround in terms of project closures, which is the most important benefit."
"The deployment process is quite straightforward."

Cons

"This solution could be more user-friendly and involve less code. It requires a lot of SQL knowledge and programming. It is not a drag and drop solution."
"This solution is difficult to scale. We found it challenging to ensure that many more users could use the system without any trouble."
"Considering the light amount of users who use this solution to perform basic tasks, the price is a little high."
"The biggest area for improvement is the look and feel when building a customer portal as it's not that customizable."
"When you're developing database-type applications, there is no way to see the actual database tables. They call them forms, and I don't like that. Zoho should also provide better user guides."
"If we want to update 5,000 data in one function, we cannot do it because the running time for those records takes around at least ten minutes."
"The product needs to improve stability and scalability. We faced issues with bugs."
"I rate their support around a six out of ten, as there is room for improvement in their support capabilities."
"The layout of the form site needs some improvements because you can only create a basic layout and templates in the forms."
"Sometimes there are execution order issues where lower code runs before upper code, which can create problems."
