Centralized cloud security has improved DLP incident management and simplifies email protection
One major challenge is that downloading incidents during the investigation process takes a very long time, and this issue should be resolved. More customized columns and filtering options in incident review would be beneficial. File types should be included, such as file names along with file extensions, which are not currently available to my knowledge. Overall, Skyhigh Security is very good and just needs to improve in terms of the latency of downloading incidents.

Works very well in a hybrid environment in terms of DLP policies, but trying to do your own troubleshooting can be a little bit difficult
It does scale. They have different data centers spread out for you to do things. It scales just fine, but it is the setup and configuration that you have to do in order for it to scale the way you want it to. I know that some of the newer technologies, such as Zscaler, are doing SD-LAN type connections and things of that sort to improve performance and scalability. So, things are still evolving in terms of scalability. Depending on how you deployed it, you can run into some performance gotchas. If you take a VPN connection and try to overtax it, you can run into problems. You can't say that it didn't scale. You have to use a different method to get the traffic, or you may have to set up two VPN tunnels or things of that sort. So, if you want it to scale, you have to think it through and make sure you are deploying it in a manner to scale. It can scale, but you have to plan it and make sure you think everything through.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Skyhigh Security has positively impacted my organization; before using it, we needed to monitor cloud applications including Office 365 and other applications such as Facebook manually, and after we started using Skyhigh Security, through the dashboard, we are able to control user monitoring, access control, and everything else effectively."
"The most valuable features of MVISION Cloud are the automatic reports and modification incidents."
"The other products that I have evaluated do not have the scalability options that McAfee has."
"Without Skyhigh, we had zero visibility, but now we are aware of so much more."
"Skyhigh Security has positively impacted my organization by enabling us to discover the Shadow IT concept and identify unauthorized cloud applications or integrations, helping us maintain compliance and governance."
"Skyhigh networks is the most mature and feature-rich product and integrates with your current infrastructure, rather than adding another agent or needing to send all traffic through a proxy, which simplifies setup and ensures the product does not cause bottlenecks while adding value to your already existing security infrastructure."
"It help us monitor high risk services, blocking them, and also feeding them to our egress points."
"As a cloud solution, it's easily scalable."
"The stability of the solution is very good; it's one of the most stable products on the market."
"The ability to monitor for threats is the solution's most valuable aspect."
"The value in some of these solutions is just the integration of technologies with their on-prem DLP solution. So, you can tie on-prem and cloud DLP policies together. You can apply on-prem policies to the cloud to have consistent policies in a hybrid environment. So, it works very well in that hybrid environment of on-prem and cloud."
"The stability of the solution is great, and it's one of the most stable products on the market."
"One of the most valuable features of Symantec CloudSOC CASB is its detection functionality. It uses the same base as Data Loss Prevention, allowing for close integration between on-premises DLP and the Symantec CloudSOC CASB. This integration lets you manage policies and incidents across both platforms."
"The scalability is excellent, and if a company needs to expand the product, it can do so easily."
"The active directory integration is very valuable as we can connect to the list of users that we have and the cloud control, the blocking, the access control of the cloud, can be handled by this product."
"The monitoring and threat protection were the solution's most valuable features."

Cons

"Improve the user interface (UI) of the tool and make it user-friendly."
"It needs to be more user-friendly, as it is a little bit complicated to use."
"De-tokenization."
"User interface could be more intuitive."
"The cloud capability needs to be improved in terms of scalability. More generally, both scalability and performance on the cloud need to be improved."
"One area for improvement I've seen in Skyhigh Security is that it lacks support for unsanctioned applications, where customers have their applications. Those applications do not come from Microsoft or other popular vendors. For example, Microsoft has support for Teams and it has support for OneDrive, but it doesn't have support for custom applications built by customers. Customers have internal teams building and publishing applications to the external world, but Skyhigh Security doesn't have support for those applications, and this is the main problem I've seen. The solution only supports a pool of applications that are from Microsoft and other major SaaS vendors. McAfee doesn't provide support for custom applications, compared to other vendors who provide it. For example, Bitglass and Netskope both have support for custom applications. Another area for improvement in Skyhigh Security is that its API support is a little weak. I also have not seen a strong integration between the solution and other McAfee products."
"The customer service is five out of 10."
"They only have English support, so I would like for them to add some Spanish support."
"The solution needs to focus on data security."
"The data security needs improvement."
"The data security needs improvement. We should be able to leverage it a bit better for situations where someone may be trying to upload documents onto the cloud application."
"The tool's deployment is complex. The environment can be challenging, especially if unfamiliar with the product."
"The solution should work to incorporate some machine learning policies like IDM and VML."
"I would like to see them develop the ability to integrate it with a central management system."
"They have some room for improvement in terms of being able to do troubleshooting. If you're trying to troubleshoot it, you have to work a lot with their backend people in order to get to a solution. So, trying to do your own troubleshooting can be a little bit difficult."
"It's a niche product. Not many people use it, and therefore there isn't as much of a knowledge base surrounding it."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"There is an annual licensing cost to use McAfee Web Gateway. The purchasing of licensing can be difficult for the government sector."
"Pricing for Skyhigh Security is okay, though there's always a scope for price improvements. Its pricing is okay compared to other products because other products have very expensive licensing costs. Along with the licensing, support is also provided for Skyhigh Security, so pricing is reasonable, but if there's proactive or better support, that will justify the pricing. I haven't interacted with the Skyhigh Security technical support team yet, so I'd give pricing a four out of five rating for now."
"The solution's hardware is expensive."
"The price of the solution is good and we pay an annual license."
"Skyhigh provided a FedRAMP solution, tokenization, a better shadow IT capability, and lower cost."
"Some of our clients have a perpetual license and pay additional support yearly."
"The biggest thing to watch for is the difference in price per monitored user for the different API integrations."
"This is an expensive product, but you have to compare that with other solutions that are on the market."
"It compares well with the competition because they're all priced on a per-user basis. I've seen the rest of them. There is definitely a huge price difference between them."
