Recruiting module is highly usable, with good performance and goal management features
The setup is not complicated as such. From a user perspective, it's not complicated and, in fact, is quite user-friendly. Even for the implementer, it is quite easy to configure. The implementation time naturally depends upon the requirements, but at a minimum, we can implement recruiting and onboarding with Oracle in 45 days. If you have more of a management workflow, there's also a lot of a customization there. And if you have customized Java applications, those areas need to be developed and it may take more time. But overall, in it can be configured and delivered to customers in 45 days.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It is easy to use. Requisition management and pre-screening are the two most valuable features."
"Performance and goal management are good to have, based on certain client requirements where the user base isn't too large, but the most workable domain of Taleo is the recruiting module."
"The stability of the solution is good."
"The solution offers good benefits for administrators."
"Good integration capabilities and extensibility."
"ATS is used to track candidates. We've used it for job requisitions, getting candidates for those requisitions, moving them through different interview stages, and then handling their onboarding process."
"The Talent Acquisition and Headhunting features are good."
"The solution is stable and reliable."
"The payroll operations I’ve managed within this and other organizations involve substantial numbers, demonstrating that SAP HCM stable product. As for talent management, we’ve utilized consulting services and supplemented them with various in-house developments. Moreover, we are exploring innovative AI, including chatbots and AI-driven use cases."
"The payroll and time management features are useful."
"All of the core processes are very valuable aspects of the solution. These include personnel, administration, organizational structure, and payroll."
"The most valuable feature is the Personnel Administration."
"It simplifies everything for human capital management, and all users can do self-enrollment for leaves and those kinds of things. The employee self-service feature is quite a powerful feature for me. You can install it on your mobile phone or iPad and do your employee service activity there."
"The most valuable feature is Organizational Management (OM)."
"The tool's best feature is SAP SuccessFactors."
"We have features such as ABKRS based on the client's requirement, tariff and TMSTA, and so on."

Cons

"Oracle Taleo felt a bit outdated, and we didn't use it for every step of the candidate process. We mainly used it to track job IDs, create job requisitions, and add candidates when making an offer. It wasn't very user-friendly for moving candidates through different stages of the recruitment lifecycle."
"It would be ideal if we could integrate the solution with Olympia. It would be helpful if we could add another support desk for an IT person. It would be great if the product was more interdisciplinary and could include IT."
"I don't see very valuable features in this product because it has an old way of interpreting ATS. It should be more flexible in managing datasets and data searches. The screening data is a long process in Taleo."
"The pricing could be improved."
"Lacks some systems that we need."
"The bulk recruitment feature does not work well."
"In terms of Oracle Taleo as a product, there are a lot of things which can be developed; most feedback which I have heard from customers is about the dashboard and the home page, both of which are quite basic."
"There are always going to be little caveats here and there that you might not have known about as far as changes are concerned, however, it's not business-oriented to the point where the business shuts down."
"A better user interface and greater AI integration are crucial."
"The extensibility of the integration could be improved."
"The solution is rather expensive."
"It would be nice if the solution migrated to S/4HANA."
"In my experience, SAP HCM and similar products are very good, but the focus now should be on providing features to encourage employee adoption. For example, accessing pay slips is a task that naturally drives adoption. However, AI tools that can prompt employees at the right time through the right application are needed for actions such as conducting surveys or gathering performance feedback."
"Reports need to be added on the time management side."
"It would be very helpful for our company if a new version was released with the ability to contain all of the things that we have newly introduced in our company."
"Its reporting feature could have customization options."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Whether you pay annually or on some other payment schedule depends on the license model you choose. Typically, clients pay a yearly subscription."
"The product is expensive."
"We purchase the product's yearly license."
"HCM is cheaper than SuccessFactors."
"Be careful and guard against future changes in licensing."
"For implementation, SAP offers little support unless you buy SAP Safeguarding from SAP Consulting."
"The pricing is really high."
"You pay per license. There not any costs in addition to the standard licensing fees."
"The solution is cheap."
