Unified sign-in has simplified access control and has supported end-to-end identity lifecycle
The authentication process is good, but sometimes the responsiveness to requests for enhancement is very slow. I sometimes face issues with platform stability, flexibility in configuration, and limited API availability. I experience downtimes two to three times per year. OneLogin's support team is sometimes very slow to respond. There is a feature limitation with mapping, as OneLogin does not provide one-to-all mapping. For client deployment, we need to create separate mappings for each request, and we cannot use the same mapping for multiple requests. Other areas that have room for improvement are related to API limitations. If a client requires more APIs, such as 5,000 or 6,000, OneLogin charges more. The API rate limits by default or the standard limit should provide more than 5,000. Additionally, OneLogin could provide more flexibility in configuration. These are the main limitations I have identified with OneLogin.

Efficiently manage applications with secure single sign-on and streamlined operations
Access Manager allows us to efficiently manage a broad spectrum of applications while ensuring secure, single-page application access. Its ability to consolidate applications on a single interface streamlines operations significantly. The product is highly secure and reliable, especially in managing user access across various platforms. Multi-factor authentication enhances security by requiring additional verification steps.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The best feature that OneLogin offers in my experience is how much time it saves everyone, not just IT but every single employee in the organization."
"The outcomes since adopting OneLogin are very positive, saving our time with a reduced workload by 30 to 40 percent, and user provisioning, including onboarding or off-boarding, has become very fast by 60 to 80 percent."
"I am impressed with OneLogin as the main data entry point for accessing most websites from a secure login entity, which is why I could really recommend it to other enterprises."
"Implementation time has been cut by 60 to 70%, and the number of people required for management has decreased by at least 60 to 70%."
"OneLogin is very effective in improving both security and operational efficiency."
"OneLogin has positively impacted our organization by improving both security and operational efficiency."
"OneLogin has strengthened my security posture, streamlined user onboarding and offboarding, and provided a seamless experience for employees accessing multiple applications."
"The single sign-on feature of OneLogin by One Identity is amazing."
"Access Manager allows us to efficiently manage a broad spectrum of applications while ensuring secure, single-page application access."
"The stability of the solution is good, we have never had any issues and neither have any of our clients."
"I think that this product was really designed with scalability in mind, and we currently have about 1.6 million users and I am not aware of a limitation."
"From a technical perspective, the solution is very good we can operate and control the user by ourselves."
"We have not had issues surrounding any failure or instability, and we use it with remote work to access our applications from anywhere, 24/7."
"I find the authentication module, authentication scheme, and security policy most useful in Oracle Access Manager."
"My company has used most features of Oracle Access Manager for various implementations, but the most helpful feature of the solution for the business and customers is single sign-on."
"The MFA is the most valuable aspect."

Cons

"However, the downfall rests with the lack of an on-premises solution or cloud in some areas, which prevents OneLogin from accessing some significant markets. Additionally, the weakness of their CIAM module is a concern."
"While I initially used OneLogin's desktop feature to extend SSO, I discontinued it two years ago due to limitations."
"In terms of productivity, initially it was a challenge; people were not used to getting SMS messages on their phones, especially if it's not a company provided phone, and some people even complained that they didn't want to use their phone to get work-related SMS messages even if it's multi-factor authentication."
"To offboard, you have to manually click on this checklist, each of the checkmarks. It would actually be really nice if, for offboarding someone, you just click "offboard" and it automatically runs a script to do that."
"However, one thing that could be simplified is the initial setup because it was somewhat tricky during implementation in the initial phase."
"The mobile app is not best and it could be improved."
"The uptime has not been great recently, with some outages lasting six, seven, or eight hours."
"There are a couple of areas for improvement in OneLogin. While it is strong overall, the key areas that could be worked on include the ease of configuration for advanced workflows, as setting up complex role-based policies or integration across different systems in the HealthTech market requires considerable technical effort."
"The solution's lifecycle management is troublesome. Also, another area of issue in the solution is the part involving documentation of certain features."
"I would expect a product with a reputation like Oracle to be very stable and it is not in my opinion."
"The mobile access to the solution isn't ideal. They should work to improve its functionality."
"I suggest Oracle make the integration process for non-Oracle applications as straightforward and easy as it is for Oracle applications."
"Installation and deployment take time, but implementation is straightforward and easy, and they have very good support."
"The user interface is a bit complicated and could be made more lightweight. Simplifying the installation process, perhaps through a VDAR-based installation, would also be beneficial."
"Oracle Access Manager is not very suitable or too heavy for cloud-native environments and needs more customization and configuration compared to authorization servers such as Keycloak or WSO2 Identity Server."
"Sometimes if a session takes too long, you have to log in again."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We were happy with the price we got when we signed up, but I don't know what will happen when the time comes to renew because it is a different company now. We haven't seen any pricing models or had that discussion yet. My renewal is a year and a half away. It's worth what we're paying for it. There's no way we could provide the level of service for cheaper or try to do the same in-house."
"Surprisingly expensive given the price of on-premise solutions."
"The price of the licensing is fine."
"The pricing for OneLogin seems to be okay. The pricing and licensing are affordable. If you'd consider OneLogin to be expensive, it's worth it."
"While I wish OneLogin's pricing was more affordable, their licensing model, which is based on per user, is acceptable."
"The pricing and licensing are reasonable. It is much cheaper than other products."
"It was cheap in the beginning, and then it became very expensive. We were initially charged $2 per user per month, which was fine, but by the second year, they increased it to $5 per user. That became very expensive for us because we had about 1,500 users. At $2 per user, it comes out to be $3,000 a month, which is $36,000 a year. If we move to $5 per user, it comes out to be $7,500 a month. That made its cost so high. That is why we removed the product because the cost was high."
"OneLogin's pricing, from the perspective of the education sector, seems quite reasonable for the value it delivers."
"I cannot comment on the exact pricing because Oracle has different licensing models for other clients, making it flexible."
"The product is a little expensive."
"On a scale where one is a high price, and ten is a low price, I rate the solution a one. Purchasing a license for the solution is very expensive now."
"The tool is affordable."
"The price is really good and it is flexible because they have CPU licenses. The license is a one-time-only purchase."
"Can be expensive as a solution."
