The support quality needs improvement, particularly in terms of reachability and response time after the merger.
I rate technical support from Juniper as eight out of ten, and I am totally satisfied with the support.
The issues were mainly related to response time.
They often treat issues in isolation, not considering how one problem might relate to another.
When I was working directly with Microsoft at TCS, my first company, the support experience was quite smooth, and we received solutions promptly.

Scalability Issues

Sentiment score
8.3
Mist AI and Cloud are scalable, supporting thousands of users while requiring careful network planning to prevent connectivity issues.
Sentiment score
6.9

In terms of scalability, Mist AI and Cloud is scalable.
The scalability of SCOM, meaning its ability to adapt to our needs, is excellent because we are working with SQL systems and multiple servers.

Sentiment score
7.1
SCOM's stability has improved significantly, especially in newer versions like 2019, with proper configuration and resource allocation.
Mist AI and Cloud is stable, and I would rate its stability as eight out of ten.
I have not seen many errors or frequent data loss because once we have installed the agent on the system and have the details, not much manual intervention is required.
SCOM is a bit unstable lately, primarily due to a lack of resources.

Room For Improvement

Improvements needed in Mist AI include configuration, integration, pricing, user support, documentation, third-party management, and marketing, especially in Brazil.
SCOM needs better dashboards, lower licensing costs, easier integration, improved reporting, enhanced support, and efficient alert management.
They should focus on making their GUI more user-friendly.
Since the merger or integration between Mist AI and Cloud and HP, it has affected service quality negatively.
If Juniper or Mist can enhance the management of third-party devices, it would make sense, as the current functionalities offer limited insight compared to managing Juniper or Mist devices.
I would like to see a software-as-a-service version in Azure to eliminate the need for on-premise infrastructure.
SCOM is likely to be phased out in favor of more compatible tools like Icinga for application monitoring or when moving to cloud solutions like CloudWatch and Azure.
It would be beneficial to have a summary on one single dashboard, as there are many more possibilities available.

Setup Cost

Enterprise users view Mist AI pricing as competitive, but setup costs and additional fees vary by region and features.
SCOM pricing varies with agreements, often part of cost-effective Microsoft packages, though licensing can be complex initially.
Compared with other solutions, Mist AI and Cloud is not that expensive and is considered moderate in pricing.
Mist AI and Cloud is not an expensive tool and is very competitive.
My rating for pricing is five, where ten represents a low price and one represents a high price.

Mohammed Junaid Khatib - PeerSpot reviewer
Has improved troubleshooting efficiency with AI-driven insights but requires a simpler user interface
Mist AI and Cloud has integrated artificial intelligence and introduced a Marvis tool, making troubleshooting much easier compared to Cisco, Extreme, or any other vendor. The Marvis tool includes Marvis Action and Marvis Mini. In Marvis Mini, you can enter the MAC address, site name, or device name to get complete details of any issues the device is facing. If you enter the MAC address of a device, it will show the types of issues such as roaming, authentication, or IP address problems. This eliminates the need to manually search for errors on the controller. The troubleshooting has been significantly simplified through Marvis Mini, which is integrated with AI. Additionally, Marvis Action helps with alerting and monitoring, showing how many devices are down and what kinds of connectivity, DHCP, or authentication issues exist, providing alerts without the need to manually monitor all devices. Mist AI and Cloud is very effective at managing user experience through its AI capabilities. It helps reduce downtime by providing alerts that allow us to work directly on issues without waiting for system failures.
