We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Kerio Connect is secure, flexible, and easy to control from the user interface. It has many security features able to be controlled from one place, such as anti-spam. I have found it very convenient. Additionally, you can analyze log files and share folders which is helpful.""What I like most about Kerio Connect is that it supports ActiveSync, and that is its most critical feature. The solution is also a nice, simple, robust, and stable mail server.""We use the solution as a mail server. It connects with Outlook and is used for calendaring and similar tasks.""It's relatively simple to use.""The most valuable features are security and privacy because you installed it on your server, within your company premises, not in the cloud.""The most valuable features are its ease of use, excellent pricing, and it is platform agnostic.""The user interface is good.""We have contacted technical support a handful of times and received some assistance."

"It also offers the search functionalities. For end users, the search is quite easy to use. There are a few tabs to select to find exactly what you're looking for. It's pretty simple. As long as the data is available, you can use filters like from whom, to whom, subject, attachment, and even use advanced settings. It's pretty nice.""The notifications, scheduling, and meetings are all integrated.""We can create email accounts for our customers.""The most valuable features of Zoho Mail are its security, integration with cloud storage, and wide range of features available. It integrates well with Outlook and mobile devices.""Zoho Mail is a stable product.""The solution has more security compared to other products. Zoho Mail comes with TLS and SSL. It has email-sharing features. It is an advanced product.""Zoho gives you a set amount of free users, so you can use it until you reach the limit and see if it's something you want to adopt. I tried it and stuck with it. Since then, I've seen a lot of improvement. I already think it's top-notch, but I believe it will become one of the best in the world.""Zoho Mail organizes your email well, and you can do a lot of things if you use other Zoho applications along with it."

Cons
"The solution could improve the redundancy because we only have one copy of the Kerio Connect server on our hardware. The next step for us is to move to the cloud and if Kerio does not have a cloud version available they should release one""We are considering switching to Microsoft Exchange. One reason is that it doesn't improve our workflow and doesn't integrate well with Microsoft 365 applications.""Having a native Outlook map integration would make Kerio Connect better.""Most of our clients use Outlook and Kerio Connect. Occasionally, Kerio can be a bit slow. They could make it faster to get onto the web interface without so much load time. It's just slow with Outlook, however, for some reason.""I would like to see better support from their support team.""The search and archiving documentation capabilities need to be stronger.""You cannot integrate with other services like Google Docs, Google Assistant, Google Calendar, etc.""It could be simpler to use and install, but I still wouldn't use it because there isn't a compelling use case."

More KerioConnect Cons →

"The initial setup of Zoho Mail can take some time because we have 30 to 35 users and we need to register each one. This can take one or two days to complete. The process could be better for administrators to register their users. If the setup interface was better in explaining the process it would be helpful to become more user-friendly.""Zoho Mail needs to add an IT system management feature.""Zoho Mail needs to improve its integration because direct integration is not possible with many applications.""The solution doesn't need to be improved.""The interface isn't quite good. Everything looks a little low-quality.""The solution’s stability could be improved.""We face some challenges in our current architecture with the introduction of data privacy regulations. When you are sending a calendar invite to a group of people for a meeting or an event, there is no structure for privacy. You can't hide all the contacts. Maybe that feature exists, but I don't know where it is."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "The pricing is about $3 per mailbox per month."
  • "The price of Kerio Connect is better when comparing it to others solutions."
  • "The solution's pricing depends on how long you plan to keep it because you pay on a per-year basis. You might have a one-time setup cost for something like Microsoft Exchange or a Linux mail server. I'd say this solution is expensive on a per-year basis, almost 2000-3000 dollars annually. It doesn't seem to pay off yet, so we're considering switching to another product."

  • "There is no license required to use Zoho Mail."
  • "If you have ten users, for Google, you'll pay $100. With Zoho Mail, you'll only pay $30 to $40."
  • "Zoho One has all 50 applications in it, and Zoho Mail is part of it. Zoho One is about 35 GBP per person per month. It includes Zoho Projects, Zoho Mail, Zoho CRM, and everything else."
  • "The solution is not costly."
  • "The solution is more affordable compared to other products. It is cheap."
  • "One of the reasons people use Zoho in Nigeria is because we can pay for it in Naira. It's very affordable already. For example, we can get Zoho Mail for somewhere between 1000 naira per user, which is less than one dollar. In my opinion, it's very affordable."
