Video library is a great tool and it enables good customization; feels a little antiquated and rusty
I like that recordings are available immediately, it's a great feature. I also appreciate being able to use the video library as a tool, and the integration of an API with other systems we have. We were able to build our own customer portal and then integrate into GoToWebinar with a seamless interface. People thought they were on our platform, but they were using GoToWebinar. Those are unique features that seemed to be very easy for our development team to integrate. I like that aspect of it. It also provides good visibility if somebody had seen a webinar that was useful. It's very easy to push them out. Registration is an easy process as is customization on the back end. We very rarely had technical issues running the webinars so it's a pretty robust platform overall.

Utilizing versatile features for efficient personal and work meetings
Zoom offers a number of interesting and valuable features. One of the most interesting is the ability to share only audio and provide ambient music without sharing a screen. The breakout room feature is much more developed than other solutions, allowing users to stay in the same meeting and move to different rooms and back to the main room. The sharing features are great for projecting people who should be in focus. Another valuable feature is the virtual entrance, which uses a username and password recognized by the Zoom system, showing the person's full name and ID. Additionally, the use of video and a good fixed background improves visibility compared to other applications. These features differentiate Zoom from others.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"This solution is very reliable. It is easy to switch between audio and microphone when using headphones."
"We were able to build our own customer portal and integrate into GoToWebinar with a seamless interface."
"All of their features are good. They are more or less equivalent to the competition. There's less disturbance, less jitter, the voice is always good even at a low bandwidth."
"I can extract the activity and the attendance reports, along with every single question that was asked during the webinar, which is a feature that we highly value."
"The interface is browser-based and simple, which is an advantage over other solutions."
"I like Zoom's ease of use and how easy it is for non-tech people to interface with it. Other video conferencing solutions can be somewhat challenging for non-tech people, so you often end up waiting for people to connect."
"Whiteboard is a good feature for having a meeting in which everyone can join to type or draw, and write. If we have a brainstorming-type meeting, we can share our own ideas with the whiteboard."
"There is a free version of the solution."
"The most valuable features of Zoom are quick connectivity, screen sharing, and quick response."
"The Mozilla extension is useful to schedule meetings."
"I have been satisfied with the features and capability of Zoom."
"Zoom is a product that offers users convenience, so you won't be left out of any meetings, especially when others need or prefer to hold meetings on Zoom."
"The initial setup was very easy...The solution is worth the money."

Cons

"The chat window and using polls is easier in Zoom than compared to GoToWebinar. Make it simpler and easier to publish polls on the fly would improve the solution."
"The platform feels old and a little rusty, more could be invested into the look and feel of it."
"GoToWebinar would be improved with the inclusion of support for video endpoints."
"The sharing of cameras is limited to meeting organizers."
"Some of my friends also use GoToWebinar to collect clients for affiliate marketing. In those cases, they found some features were missing with respect to some of the competition. And the worst part is the price."
"Sound is not an issue, however, with video I've always had issues when using the free service."
"Zoom could be improved by adding more dashboards."
"There must be an option to ask permission from the host to record the Zoom meeting."
"The privacy settings need to be more apparent, otherwise anyone can wander into meeting rooms and disrupt them."
"Zoom could be more scalable."
"The performance could be better."
"My only concern in Zoom is the stigma associated with being a Chinese product. However, it has been acquired by the US government or a US counterpart has taken over it. There is not any issue with respect to data security. This being said, there is a little bit of apprehension when it comes to the data security aspect. It's better if they give a public statement that we are compliant with the GDPR requirements. It will be helpful for them in promoting their solution in a much better way."
"Zoom meetings can only have 1,000 attendees. For more than 1,000, you must buy the Zoom Webinar product."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It is a monthly subscription and the price is quite expensive if you're not paying annually."
"This is a free solution."
"There is a free version available with time limits."
"Zoom is free."
"We have an annual subscription to the solution. The price could be reduced."
"On a scale from one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive, I rate the solution's pricing a five out of ten."
"I use the free version that is available, so I'm not sure what the licensing prices are."
"There is a subscription to use the solution."
"There is some basic functionality that's free but if you want to host longer meetings and have more participants, then there is a licensing fee."
"The price of Zoom is a bit expensive."
