Enables us to easily see users' device compliance as it continuously monitors the devices
Security is much better than the service that we were using before. The dashboard is much more user-friendly. It is easy to add users. I can easily see users' device compliance as it continuously monitors the devices. The speed of the connections is excellent. We have two gateways set up, one for the East Coast US and one for the West Coast. Both have excellent speed and the GoodAccess team allowed us to test several gateways to determine which worked best for us prior to locking in the gateways. With the prior service, the speed was so slow that users could not work while connected.

An easy-to-use tool with which its users can access networks from home or external locations
Sometimes OpenVPN Access Server is difficult to connect to, and in our company, we don't know why it is difficult. The product may not connect if we lose connection at times. There are certain shortcomings in the product's stability that need improvement. In general, I want to improve the connect connectivity of the solution since I sometimes face stability issues.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"GoodAccess VPN has brought a transformative shift to our organization, notably enhancing collaboration and enabling seamless remote work."
"GoodAccess is allowing us to give first-hand support and access to critical client systems, in a secure way."
"The most valuable aspects of the solution are the static IP and speed."
"The task of managing security and auditing for unauthorized entries has been substantially diminished."
"Their user interface is intuitive as it is easy to navigate."
"The solution has easy-to-use administration and offers an easy implementation."
"GoodAccess was the only hosted VPN solution we found for a reasonable cost that allowed us to establish a site-to-site VPN network for hundreds of locations across the country."
"The VPN's role in facilitating remote work has improved internal efficiency."
"The solution is secure and user-friendly."
"The setup is easy."
"The best thing is that it is open source and free of cost."
"I have found the stability to be good."
"You can do local subnet blocking."
"It can securely do remote product updates... just as if it was on our LAN."
"It is open-source and free to use."
"Two-factor authentication allows us to not force frequent password changes."

Cons

"Currently, the pricing structure is functional yet could benefit from more refined scalability calculations."
"The installable app's occasional bugs have caused disruptions for some users, impacting smooth usage."
"There is one minor drawback to mention: occasionally, the Internet connection tends to slow down noticeably while using the VPN."
"It is worth mentioning that we do experience disconnects on rare occasions."
"Their recent revision in pricing was a jolt. Though any business understands the need for periodic pricing evaluations, a clearer communication strategy and more gradual changes might have been more palatable for long-term clients like us."
"The interface information could show more information about how threats have occurred. Right now, it only shows basic threat information."
"Adding one user at a time to the package as compared to blocks of five would be helpful. Currently, we end up with empty seats on our plans."
"The price tier is not suited for small teams."
"It should automate our processes."
"We occasionally have internet issues which affect stability."
"Needs a better GUI."
"The logs should be made easier to read."
"One improvement I would like to see in OpenVPN is better adaptability in certain geographical areas."
"The high availability deployment is not very straightforward. They can make it simpler. OpenVPN does not support some of the additional protocols that Pulse Secure and Cisco AnyConnect support. They can include support for these additional protocols."
"The upgrade path from older versions was more difficult than we wanted to tackle, so we ran an older version of the software for longer than I wanted. Patching, updating, and migrating to newer versions was a problem for us. That said, we were on a rather old version that I inherited yet it worked rock solid."
"You do need expertise in implementation if you do the initial setup yourself."
