We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Reporting and automatic updates of website categorization.""The Forcepoint client software can be downloaded on a user's machine so that it can filter the sites from home or the office. That's one of the biggest features. We can use it for filtering our laptops for our users at any place.""Email Sandbox, DLP and Proxy.""I like the product's scalability and stability.""It allowed our company to not worry about the security of a page, but talk more about the content and the productivity of specific types of web categories.""It has protected clients against cyberattacks.""The product's user management is an area where my company does not face any challenges.""Real-time analytics."

"The solution is not too expensive. It's affordable.""It doesn't seem to take too much system bandwidth, and I also like its reporting. Once a month, it gives me a reminder of the activity. It reminds me that the protection is on, and if there are any issues, it summarizes those minor issues. During the month, it only notifies when there is something special.""The solution does what it's meant to do.""It's a solution that permits making a granular configuration and it is easier to deploy the same configuration on a lot of devices using the central console. It is the master of the product.""The most valuable is the blocking of blacklisted sites, a URL that is, either by intelligence or by McAfee, detected as a malicious site.""The stability has a good standard right now.""It is functional. It has reduced risk and downtime while also ensuring regulatory compliance, which is critical.""The product is quite an effective firewall."

Cons
"The product could be improved by including a consolidated product that can carry on Forcepoint product email, web, and DLP.""Sometimes attacks or a new ransomware gets through.""The product needs to have more mobility.""Ease of use could be improved.""I have been in contact with technical support several times, and I am not happy with them.""The reporting could be improved.""What's missing in Forcepoint Secure Web Gateway is a specific level of micro-control on protocols or devices, for example, where you can control a particular user or user device.""Managing the endpoint for both DLP and web security should be simplified."

More Forcepoint Secure Web Gateway Cons →

"Lacking filter for spam.""There is a real need to make sure all the updates and improvements are in order to keep the security at top performance to continue defeating threats that come daily.""The True Key version for mobile phones should be improved. The password manager is not as seamless as on the desktop. Once implemented, on the desktop, when you go to the site, it automatically fills and connects you, whereas, on the mobile phone, it doesn't do that quite seamlessly. You need to open the True Key application and then select the password you want to use. It then opens in the browser. There are fewer steps in the desktop version as compared to the mobile version.""We used a consultant to help us set it up. Unfortunately, he was not that good. They were out of McAfee people. He was a consultant and knew the product, but he was not a McAfee person. How they managed it and how they worked was not straightforward.""The manufacturerers should have more transparancy about exactly what is getting filtered when you use the product and why.""The solution should be more proactive in regards to sending you updates.""The solution could always use more security features. If it was more secure, it would be an even stronger product.""The initial setup could be simplified, there is a learning curve during the implementation."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "Expensive, but with a good reseller you can get a very good price."
  • "It is a well-priced option."
  • "It is quite expensive."
  • "The pricing on Forcepoint Web Security is fair. Fair pricing at current market rates, if you are comparing with the competition."
  • "The licensing is not expensive."
  • "The price of this product should be reduced to make it more competitive."
  • "Licensing is flexible. License pricing information is based on the customer, their environment, and on the future approach."
  • "The solution is priced a little high compare to similar solutions."
  • More Forcepoint Secure Web Gateway Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "$150 Canadian per year."
  • "It is not very expensive. It costs 100 Canadian Dollars per year per license. I buy one-year or two-year protection. The license covers my PC, laptops, and telephone. The cost is per user but for multiple devices. It has just the standard licensing fees. There are some options for extended protection. For example, if I wanted to have a VPN, there will be an extra cost. So, there are upgradable features, but I'm very happy with what it is giving me with the basic plan. It gives me the basic privacy protection that I need."
  • "The license number would be approximately $35,000."
  • "In McAfee Web Protection you have the ability to install any appliance you want with the same license. If you need an appliance on-premise, you can install it with the same license because the license is for users, not for appliances. If you need one more, you can install it and you don't have problems with the license or need to change your environment."
  • "The pricing is cheaper than some of the other options that are available."
