Lead - Recruiting at a tech services company with 10,001+ employees
Reasonable price, scalable, useful for Malops detections, and helpful for layered defense
We are not satisfied with their support. We are facing some challenges. They should be proactive, but we have to chase them a lot. This is where there is room for improvement. They should be proactively serving their customers. We had some batch update issues, and we're still working on them. We are almost there, but it took a couple of email exchanges in order to achieve it.

Presales Manager at a manufacturing company with 201-500 employees
Effective integration and threat hunting capabilities boost operational ease, but interface improvements are needed
I would like to improve the dashboard in SentinelOne Singularity MDR, as it could be much better, along with the reporting structure. The granularity of policies and ease of policy management from the console could be made better, while my experience from a feature standpoint has been good overall. Regarding summary reports provided from SentinelOne Singularity MDR, I find the reporting structure could be much better in terms of granularity. Additionally, for C-suite executives, there can be more non-technical content that provides a bird's eye view of organizational risk posture, rather than just detailed technical analyses. This high-level perspective on the organization's risk would be highly beneficial at the management level.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It has a lot of things for Malops detections."
"It helps us in layered defense, and if one of the other products does not capture what we require, it comes up in Cylance and vice versa, helping the overall security posture of the organization."
"Most of the next-generation anti-virus products, including SentinelOne Vigilance, have behavior analytics included, and this is the feature I find most valuable in the solution."
"The impact of the threat hunting capabilities on detecting known and emerging threats in real-time is notable, and with the AI, it helps for real-time threat hunting."
"The initial setup process was straightforward, and deployment can take approximately half a day, depending on the company's size."
"SentinelOne Vigilance has very good detection."
"SentinelOne Vigilance is an endpoint security tool with quarantining, dashboards showing us information, and many capabilities like manual and automatic quarantine of environmental issues."
"The initial setup process was straightforward."
"I would rate SentinelOne's customer service and support a five out of five."
"The endpoint security software is great."

Cons

"Their support needs improvement. We have to chase the Customer Success Manager a lot to get things done. It should have more features in terms of portability. It should be more scalable on other endpoints such as mobile devices and BYOD."
"We are not satisfied with their support. We are facing some challenges."
"SentinelOne Vigilance doesn't actively monitor incoming emails or offer an email plugin for Outlook."
"The solution could be improved by including a tool for removing the product when changing a device because now it is not easy to remove the customer without the dashboard."
"SentinelOne Vigilance could improve if it provided us with more control over the dashboard."
"Sometimes, SentinelOne Vigilance also detects false positives, which are not true. In such cases, we need to make changes in the policies on the dashboard accordingly."
"There's no problem with how this product works, but the toughest challenge that customers find is with its deployment and tuning. Getting it tuned properly takes some time. You can deploy it with just about anything, but it's always a challenge."
"I suspect that the areas for improvement may not necessarily lie within the tool itself but rather in our organization's lack of knowledge and understanding of cybersecurity. Cybersecurity is a complex area, and our organization has a skill set deficit. Therefore, we rely on our cybersecurity support company to help us manage the tool and handle incidents. Our limited expertise sometimes prevents us from fully utilizing them or identifying potential gaps."
"The integration with Microsoft 365 for SentinelOne Singularity MDR isn't quite as effective as with Field Effect."
"The process to replicate exclusions is not user-friendly."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Its price is reasonable, but there are other products that are cheaper than this."
"I rate the product's pricing an eight out of ten since it is really expensive, but it is well worth what my company gets."
"I rate the solution's pricing a five out of ten since it is a very highly-priced solution."
"The licensing cost depends on the number of connected devices and whether you purchase additional services."
"I give the cost a three out of ten."
"SentinelOne Vigilance is priced in a normal range."
"The solution’s pricing is very reasonable."
"On a scale from one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive, I rate the solution's pricing an eight out of ten."
"The tool's pricing is slightly cheaper than other alternatives. It's not just about licensing costs; because we already have it implemented, we can save money on deployment and initial setup. Additionally, SentinelOne Vigilance is slightly cheaper in licensing, maybe around 10-15 percent cheaper."
