Dashboard customization is needed for improvements. While the centralized management is strong, the dashboard could offer more flexibility. It would be helpful to tailor views for different roles, such as IT or security support. Regarding needed improvements, custom report building could be enhanced. Current reports are informative, and a drag-and-drop builder would allow teams to create tailored views for compliance, executive summaries, or operational metrics. For further improvements, enhancing threat simulation and testing would be valuable. Building a threat simulation tool and adding native capabilities to simulate phishing, malware, or ransomware scenarios will help teams validate protection and train users without relying on third-party tools.

A cost-effective security solution for endpoint protection
The initial setup is complex. It is rare to see an effective endpoint protection system that does not require some effort. It is neither on the cloud nor on-premises. You deploy it on every endpoint or server, irrespective of perimeter. You must use a deployment tool unless you prefer to do it manually on every endpoint or server. We used an automation tool to deploy it. Since we had MSI with us. We had to verify that everything worked, but it didn't take more than two weeks for 1000 endpoints.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Check Point Harmony Endpoint has positively impacted my organization by significantly reducing successful malware and ransomware incidents, giving us much fewer infections to deal with, and it has also freed up security team time by catching threats automatically, allowing us to focus more on proactive tasks than on cleanup tasks, which is the main improvement for our team."
"One of the characteristics of this antivirus that is valuable is the detection of ransomware."
"With Check Point Antivirus, we can ensure our user's machine is protected and securely connected to the network."
"The end-user facilities for managing the tool are good."
"The main advantage of the solution is the ability to implement complete security policies for the terminals in order to address how apps are installed on corporate devices."
"The standout features are primarily EDR and MDR."
"The tool comes with an in-built AI feature, which makes file management easier. It also secures the network from viruses, malware, and phishing attacks."
"Check Point Harmony Endpoint has one of the most user-friendly dashboards I've seen."
"First of all, it does the job. It prevents harm to the operating system. Also, the visibility it gives to the user and to the administrator is very good."
"Nyotron protects your users and does not acquire any threat intelligence."

Cons

"They should provide bandwidth regulation, so we can monitor and regulate bandwidth."
"Check Point Harmony is definitely pricier compared to other endpoints."
"The services of EDR consumption should be reduced and the support needs to be improved."
"The next release can focus more on timely upgrades to enhance computing compatibility."
"We would like to have the ability to stop and restart the service remotely, which is something that we can do easily with Symantec but have a hard time with when using Check Point."
"In terms of improvement, the ticketing system could be better. It is a little tricky to try to open a case and give it to an engineer."
"Check Point services and antivirus solutions can improve their customer offerings by offering various discounts in their subscription model and they can also reconsider their pricing model as well."
"The product should improve its pricing."
"The solution should be available on Linux and other platforms, including mobile platforms such as Android and iOS."
"The main feature that is missing is to have the same solution on servers. Currently it's only protecting the client side, not the server. If they would add the server in the same solution, that would be great."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing is reasonable."
"There are three different licensing models including basic, advanced, and complete, and it needs to be selected according to the endpoint."
"The price of Check Point Harmony Endpoint is comparable to SonicWall. The price could be a bit lower."

"Price-wise, the product is affordable. There are no additional costs apart from the licensing charges that are attached to the product."
"I rate Check Point Harmony Endpoint's pricing a seven out of ten because it is a little high."
"We pay roughly 80,000 Swedish krona per year. When it comes to the firewall, it's roughly 150,000 Swedish krona yearly. There's also maintenance, of course, which is roughly 10,000 krona per month."
