Protects our web applications and APIs and has a very low false positive rate
CloudGuard WAF is a very straightforward solution. I do not have to worry about signatures. Most of the solutions that are out there are mainly based on signatures, and I have to do a lot of maintenance to get the signature updates, and sometimes, due to a lack of resources, I am not able to do so. With CloudGuard WAF, I have peace of mind, because most of the features are AI-based, and there is not much configuration that needs to be done on my side. Once set, I only go to CloudGuard WAF to check. I do not have to worry about signatures or updates. Everything is done perfectly, and I have a sense of peace because I know our applications are safe. It is very important for us that CloudGuard WAF protects our applications against threats without relying on signatures. That is definitely one of the key features I need.

Boosts security by automatically blocking applications or activities, but query responses have been slower recently
For the past six months, we have been facing some issues. Because it is a cloud-based infrastructure, it has been getting slower. There are no bugs because they release updates continuously. We highly appreciate that, but during hunting or running a query on different logs, the time frame has increased in the past six months. It takes longer to give us the results. Another issue is the lack of proper documentation. During investigations, there is no proper documentation available. This is a problem because many people are saying there should be proper documentation explaining what CrowdStrike captures from the machine and the meaning of it.

Quotes from Members

Pros

"With CloudGuard WAF, I have peace of mind, because most of the features are AI-based, and there is not much configuration that needs to be done on my side."
"The portal is quite intuitive."
"Check Point CloudGuard WAF works well for preemptively blocking Zero Day attacks and detecting hidden anomalies."
"It provides advanced analytics that gives each team time to prepare for any threat that might occur in the future."
"The solution's strongest point is that you can connect everything to it, giving you a full view of what's connected."
"After integrating AppSec with other applications, team members can easily work without fear of confidential information exposure."
"We have saved money by protecting our environment from new vulnerabilities and preventing theft by cybercriminals."
"It helps me sleep at night, providing peace of mind."
"The immediate mitigation of potential threats and instant alerts are valuable."
"Cloud security is one valuable feature. Spotlight is the other one. There is also vulnerability management and a couple of more features."
"The RTR feature stands out as particularly valuable to me due to its capability to log into machines."
"CrowdStrike utilizes signatureless technology, eliminating the need for regular signature updates on endpoint systems."
"The alerts are clearer, and the capabilities are much better than the others."
"We like the solution's management and monitoring tools for our network. We use it to monitor our network between workstations and outside our organization. The AI provides useful visualizations of our network on a dashboard."
"The most valuable feature is the auto-detection capability for threat hunting and issuing advisories on remedies."
"The solution has login features like multi factor authentication."

Cons

"The documentation of each of the tools that they offer needs to be better."
"I would like it to be able to analyze more complex functions, although I did not examine the case study of more complex implementations. Things like forum fields, etc seem to need a little more focused protection of the fields scheme validation."
"You need to know exactly the system. You cannot have someone running the system if they don't have the knowledge to do so."
"The web user interface needs some improvement, even though the functionality is good."
"Cost reduction and trial period extension should be considered with some lucrative discount offerings in buying standard versions."
"When I migrate the traffic from our mobile application to CloudGuard, we are not getting what we expected."
"The learning curve was a challenge due to initially incorrect configurations. It took approximately a month and a half to understand how the solution works because of inadequate documentation."
"The learning curve was a challenge due to initially incorrect configurations."
"There is room for improvement in the solution's ability to handle Linux systems."
"The log scale or Humio side of it where it collects the data and expands into the XDR world still needs time to develop in terms of the way it combines the data and metadata that flows into the platform. I know they're working on it."
"CrowdStrike Falcon Cloud Security is expensive."
"I think the UI could be improved, but the technical support said CrowdStrike will improve the UI in the near future. But right now, it’s so messy."
"The CrowdStrike partner portal documentation could be improved to provide proper instructions for integrating their products."
"For the past six months, we have been facing some issues. Because it is a cloud-based infrastructure, it has been getting slower."
"The only suggestion for improvement would be the pricing."
"It gets the work done, but the main problem with the solution is that if you remediate anything, it takes 45 days for you to get any of the features displayed on the dashboard. This is the real weakness of CrowdStrike. Their customer support is also not ready to help with it. If you remediate any cloud vulnerability that they are giving you, such as removing a host from your organization, it takes around 45 days for them to remove it from their console."
