Has system multi-factor authentication abilities but is lacking connection between on-premise and cloud-based solutions
What can be improved is the integration between the on-premise environment, specifically for Linux environments with the cloud infrastructure, such as Microsoft as it was during my time as a solution architect. My customers were looking to authenticate from the on-premise environment directly to Centrify LDAP and authenticate with the Microsoft Azure Active Direct for workloads that are sitting in Microsoft's cloud platform. The central sites are kind of limited in providing this capability. I'd like to see enhancement of the integration between the on-premise environment, both Linux and Windows-based workloads from on-premise integration into the cloud environment integration. The cloud environment needs improvement, specifically the Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google cloud platform environments. If this platform can provide the capability to act as an integration, or API, between an on-premise and cloud-based identity and access management solution, then I see this as a complete solution for identity and access management and solutions.

Has an easy initial setup process, but its technical support services need improvement
The product's technical support could be better. The integration project requires a lot of technical details, so we need to find it quickly and easily. There was a large community of knowledge in the past. We kept it together and got the results. The community that works around the particular technical issue is shrinking. It used to be a specialized community that would help with the process. These particular areas need improvement. Broadcom is still using a hybrid cloud model, with some workloads on-premises and some in the cloud. They must start with the cloud adoption and move as many workloads to the cloud as possible. The on-premises environment is becoming stable. They need to rebuild that cost and the software. The product's pre-sales, technical support, and installation could also improve.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most valuable feature in Centrify is the ability to authenticate in a Linux environment, because this is what my customers were looking for. They are coming from a Linux environment, so they appreciate the identity and access management for allowing Linux workloads to authenticate securely."
"The solution itself overall is very stable and user-friendly, and it's good for enterprise businesses with a lot of workloads as well."
"I feel the provisioning to be done well; the model offered is very good and customizable."
"With the Identity Manager product, we're able to automate that in a way that we couldn't in the past."
"In the processes where we need to analyze data, IG has enabled and facilitated the analysis of privileges, generation of roles to cover RBAC and integrate with the solution of Identity Manager, as well as the compliance aspect by the certification of privileges “Compliance”."
"It scales fine; it's one of the better products out there."
"Out-of-the-box connectors have a lot of opportunities for configuration."
"The tremendous value at client locations has been a centralized and simplified identity provisioning and management solution."
"It's provided a centralized platform to manage the lifecycle of all identities across different endpoint systems such as Active Directory, Salesforce, etc."
"Compliance improvements."

Cons

"What can be improved in Centrify is the integration between the on-premise environment, specifically for Linux environments with the cloud infrastructure, such as Microsoft as it was during my time as a solution architect."
"Provisioning has a dependency on Windows."
"They don’t give a resolution immediately. They tend to take time coming up with answers. We are not really satisfied with the customer service."
"I lost one bid purely based more on the poorer GUI provided by CA, and due to the fact that SIGMA did not provide things which were asked by the customer and did not provide scope of much customization either, so I did not understand the use of the product."
"We definitely had quite a few challenges getting up and running."
"We're trying to look for a new solution because Symantec Identity Governance and Administration has a lengthy configuration."
"Currently, it is difficult to create these connectors in this solution."
"They should easier and better integration with other software."
"Personally, I don't think the technical support is very good. The technicians don't seem to have enough training and knowledge surrounding the solution — they don't have in-depth knowledge."
